I will admit I wanted Rosen. I drank the cool aid and learned to love his cockiness. As Goodell was saying Josh Allen my stomach sank. Not who I would have picked after my countless hours of watching you tube scouting videos, listening to NFL Network and ESPN experts plus watching them all play in college for a couple years. I had them ranked Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Allen and Jackson. I told myself any of the top 3 would be Great. Darnold was never really a possibility so Rosen was my guy.
As the seconds after the pick turned into minutes I found myself not only being ok with Allen but realizing that I under valued him. The kid has a rocket for an arm and can move out of the pocket. Something Allen can not do. Yes he has accuracy issues, yes that's a big issue. So is concussions with Allen, fumbles with Darnold, Mayfield is short and Jackson might be better at WR. They all have issues. I think he is the PERFECT QB for the Bills. He is a farmers son, looks like a QB and can through the ball a mile. Scouts say when the ball leaves his hand it has a sound to it that you don't hear that often......aka Favre, Elway. Do I think he is them? Hell no. But I do like his upside and for the first time in years I have hope at the QB position. Welcome to Buffalo Josh Allen, I hope you prove all the haters wrong.

The more Rosen speaks, the better I feel about Allen. Good lord this kid is an arrogant juicebag, and I see that leading to problems down the line. Rosen says he's pissed he was passed over, and will make those teams pay. Allen on the other hand, said he'll make the Bills seem like geniuses. Similar sentiment, both an "I'll show them" mentalty, but one is bitter and spiteful, the other far more positive without actually taking a shot at thd other teams.
Read Rosen's comments carefully...
Seriously? You are a first round draft pick, chosen tenth overall, living the dream many kids will never get a chance to fufill, and you honestly thought you'd have to screw on a smile? Such an arrogant, entitled little twat. I wish the Cards the best with him.
He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He is a good QB so naturally that combo has made him feel entitled his whole life. No thanks. I'll take the big farmer kid with no injury concerns that was all smiles to come to Buffalo after he had been talked about as a possible #1 pick for months. All the experts say he has work to do BUT he is special. Welcome to buffalo Josh Allen.

Soul crushing night. All that draft capital giving away for an epic bust in the making. At least we got a good linebacker. Now we get to sit out for the rest of the draft and see all the good players we missed go by. They should have stayed at 12 they would have gotten this bust anyway. They should have stayed at 21 a good player would have come to him, instead we gave away the farm for what.
Arizona wanted him and would have taken him over Rosen. Would Miami or seone else take Rosen before we picked? Who knows. Beane had to make a move. I am ok with the trade of 2nd picks. I do wish we could have traded 96 instead of 65 for Jermaine but that kid should have gone 7 or 8 picks before that. Overall a good night. If we can get a good OL or WR at 96 then we will leave the first three rounds with three starting caliber players. Which all you can ask.

He's our guy. Like it or go root for another team.

I would not have picked Allen I will admit that. However, he has incredible talent and there are no durability concerns like with Rosen. He has to work on his accuracy and footwork but he CAN sit behind AJ for a year. His Twitter remarks we're from when he was a KID. Allen is our guy and hopefully will be the guy for the next 15 years. Welcome to Buffalo Josh.

I think the other teams have the upper hand because they own the high picks. They also know we are desperate. I am sure one of them would love our picks but is it the team that has the pick we need?

Man I love this stuff.

Waiting is really the smart play unless you trade for #1. The Jets made an early stupid move. It may actually pay off for them though but they certainly didn't know that when they made the trade.

They are only putting the farm up for sale if Cleveland doesn't pick their guy. If they do then it seems as though they will wait to see what the next couple picks look like.

True. I think we can all agree that McDermott nailed the draft last year and he helped bring in Beane. I believe they will do it again.

No matter who we take he will be my guy. Everyone has their preference but at the end of the day it's only Beanes preference that matters. I choose to be a Bills fan and that means I trust the process.

Fox is covering it also.

The groundwork for any deal has already been set. Beane can take sometime to talk to media and wait for tonight.

I give you Crow eating!

Say it goes Allen, Darnold and Rosen. Do we try to trade up to 4 for Baker?
-
Would we trade everything for Mayfield if he is the one left standing at 4?
-
I think we better be prepared to sell the farm to get Rosen.
-
Schefter is only reporting what he is hearing from "multiple" sources.
-
Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen 1-2-3

I'm pretty sure any deal would be done over the phone or video. No need to go to Ohio.

Has anyone else noticed that Rosen is not talked about being a top 4 pick anywhere? Unless buffalo trades up and even then most insiders say Allen. Maybe teams like Rosen but are trying to keep it quiet? Who knows.

It's got to be Darnold. I love Rosen and he is my Rock solid #2 behind Darnold. If Cleveland actually let's Darnold slip all hell will break loose I believe. The Giants phones will be busy busy.

I am pretty sure I didn't look like the rock either in the OR. However my wife had just had a baby pulled out of her and was being stitched back up. Least I could do is take off my shirt. Lol.

They can't trade up though. We need the picks for depth. We just need to wait and hope we can find a starting caliber players of need at 96.
