  1. Honestly this doesn't shock me. Rosen is a good QB. He has injury concerns and he his kind of a jerk. I think all 5 first round QBs will be good. It was a great draft class. It's all about the fit from here on out to see who has the best career.
  2. I think Allen has the talent to win the job but I think the Bills will go slow with him. AJ will start the season even though Allen will technically have the talent to start.
  3. Imagine if Dennison was still the OC? Holy cow, Allen would be doomed. I wasn't sure if our coaches were up to the challenge that is Josh Allen but I like what I see. They are pretty much saying " this is what you do great at and this is what you suck at. Now let's correct what you suck at."
  4. I think our defense has top 10 potential. The OL and WR positions worry me but I think our defense will keep us in games and maybe win a few for us. I'll go 9-7 which will be quite a feat for a team that starts the year with AJ and finishes with a rookie. I think we just miss the playoffs. Look out for 2019 though. Tons of cap space to upgrade the offense and maybe final touches on defense. I think this team will be ready to roll come 2019.
  5. The 1990 and maybe 1993 team.
  6. I'm glad to see the numbers on this poll. I will admit I was in the Rosen camp but even he had red flags for me. I was quick to become a fan of Allen's and so hopeful that he is the guy we have been searching for. I can't say I was shocked by the overall disappointment when the Allen pick came in. I was shocked however by the hatred pointed at Allen in the days following. This poll shows that Bills fans have warmed up to this kid are willing to give him a chance. Definitely nice to see.
  7. Stop trading players for picks. We needed the draft capital plus we had to remove players that were not Beane and McDermott guys. We did it, it's over. We got Allen and Edmunds in exchange for pretty much all those players we traded away. It's time to add players from free agency and draft picks we have.
  8. I don't think it would wise to start Allen at all this year. He needs to learn the NFL game better. He has all the tools and smarts to do just that but I feel rushing him won't help.
  9. That's usually the way it works when drafted players boom. Look at the Cowboys with Elliott and Prescott. When you hit on impact player the payoff is almost instant. God I hope they hit on Allen and Edmunds.
  10. I think years 3 and 4 for McDermott are going to be huge. We load up on free agents after this coming 2nd year, Allen becomes starter in year 3 and we are rolling in year 4.
  11. I believe the bills made the right call drafting Allen. The question I have is..... Will the Bills give him the coaching that he needs to develop? I would seriously consider bringing in a QB whisperer for this Kid. I don't think just having Daboll create an offense for his strengths will be enough. Jordan Palmer was a good idea but if Palmer can do it then I am sure anyone with proven NFL QB coaching skills will do. One more thing about Palmer really saying great things about Allen..... At least he didn't pull a Mora and say that Sam Darnold should be #1 and not his college QB Josh Rosen. I would be pissed if my coach ever did that to me. Actually Allen's head coach at Wyoming said that Allen deserved to be #1 just based on what he expects Allen to become.
  12. Adam Schefter stated that it was well known for a long time that buffalo was in love with Allen. He was almost positive that Allen topped their board. I only wonder why we didn't hear that. Some experts thought it was a good match but we never got the news that the Bills loved him. Also.... We traded to 2nds to move from 12 to 7. The deal with Denver was going to be 12,22 and a second rounder. The Jets gave up 3 2nd rounders for only 3 spots. I think we paid what the market was and did a good job keeping 22 and not tossing im any picks for next year.
  13. Time that changes
  14. So how many of us will spend the money to buy an Allen jersey before we even see him behind center? I'll admit it, I'm thinking about it. I am all in on this kid, anyone else?
  15. You can not compare where Rosen is with his talents right now to where Allen is. Rosen is clearly the better QB right now. Allen is so raw right now. He's like a a pitcher that has a 102 MPH fastball but can't strike anyone out. Once he learns how to do it watch out! I really like the Allen pick and I think the debate to sit him or start him is foolish at this point. Let's see how this summer goes first.
  16. Any college QB who has already had concussion issues is an instant red flag. Yes the kid is talented but if he misses half the season and has his career cut short what's the point?
  17. All the so called "experts" say he needs to sit. The length of time to keep him on the bench is all over the place. I personally say don't rush him. Nobody knows for sure what we have in AJ. Let AJ play this year so he can hopefully find a starting job somewhere else. No matter how well he does this IS Allen's team. If AJ sucks then give Peterman another chance to display what he can or can not do. Josh Allen is a project with huge upside if he hits his potential. Hopefully the Bills will put the right people around him so he can reach it.
  18. You're right I don't know. But I do know that Baker Mayfield was not and is not the BEST player in this draft! But the browns needed a QB and he was at the top of their QB list. So yes, he was probably on top of their board but it doesn't make him the best player. Just the best fit. Same goes for Allen at #7. I love the kid but he is not one of the best 7 players, hell none of the QBs were.
  19. And there is no way Mayfield is the best player in the draft! Give me a break with this line of thinking. Teams draft for needs and best fit at the top of the board. #7 best player of course wasn't Allen but he was the best player that buffalo needed still on the board.
  20. They can't trade up though. We need the picks for depth. We just need to wait and hope we can find a starting caliber players of need at 96.
  21. I will admit I wanted Rosen. I drank the cool aid and learned to love his cockiness. As Goodell was saying Josh Allen my stomach sank. Not who I would have picked after my countless hours of watching you tube scouting videos, listening to NFL Network and ESPN experts plus watching them all play in college for a couple years. I had them ranked Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Allen and Jackson. I told myself any of the top 3 would be Great. Darnold was never really a possibility so Rosen was my guy. As the seconds after the pick turned into minutes I found myself not only being ok with Allen but realizing that I under valued him. The kid has a rocket for an arm and can move out of the pocket. Something Allen can not do. Yes he has accuracy issues, yes that's a big issue. So is concussions with Allen, fumbles with Darnold, Mayfield is short and Jackson might be better at WR. They all have issues. I think he is the PERFECT QB for the Bills. He is a farmers son, looks like a QB and can through the ball a mile. Scouts say when the ball leaves his hand it has a sound to it that you don't hear that often......aka Favre, Elway. Do I think he is them? Hell no. But I do like his upside and for the first time in years I have hope at the QB position. Welcome to Buffalo Josh Allen, I hope you prove all the haters wrong.
  22. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He is a good QB so naturally that combo has made him feel entitled his whole life. No thanks. I'll take the big farmer kid with no injury concerns that was all smiles to come to Buffalo after he had been talked about as a possible #1 pick for months. All the experts say he has work to do BUT he is special. Welcome to buffalo Josh Allen.
  23. Arizona wanted him and would have taken him over Rosen. Would Miami or seone else take Rosen before we picked? Who knows. Beane had to make a move. I am ok with the trade of 2nd picks. I do wish we could have traded 96 instead of 65 for Jermaine but that kid should have gone 7 or 8 picks before that. Overall a good night. If we can get a good OL or WR at 96 then we will leave the first three rounds with three starting caliber players. Which all you can ask.
  24. He's our guy. Like it or go root for another team.
