Unless something changes which it litterly could at any moment, then I would agree that DT / DE look like a need at 9. There are so many possibilities though. A star DT or Pass rusher would all but finish the Defense but a star TE or LT would be so great for Allen. I think I want a TE but my mind says D / O line. Man it's gonna be fun ?.
I did sound like Beane wasn't done yet though. He said after this weekend his focus would be the draft. Which means he is still kicking tires. Still has about $20 million to play with if he wants.
This is going to be a very important draft for the Bills. If they can work a slight trade back and pick up an extra 2nd that would be perfect. 4 picks in the first 3 rounds would fill the rest of the holes with starters if they hit.
I believe if the negotiations had continued the Bills would have put a clause about him reporting by a certain date. If not then the trade would have been void. But why waste everyone's time if it looks like the player either will not report or would need to be talked in to reporting. I didn't want him here so I am glad it fell through. He's 31 and he is a cancer to the locker room. Let's get players that want to be here and help bring a Super Bowl to Orchard Park.
There are a lot of great players on offense between picks 15 - 100. If we can trade #9 for 2-3 more picks in rounds 1-2 or 3 count me in. Like Washington trades us #15, #46 and #77 for #9. We would end up with 15, 40, 46, 75 and 77. Yup.
It really pisses me off when the media says that the Patriots record is so good every year because they play in the AFC East. Replace the Patriots with any other team in the NFL and I am sure said team wouldn't do as well. It's not easy playing those d bags twice a year.
Yeah Mcvay totally stuck with his game plan and believed what he saw on tape. It's like he didn't understand what was happening right in front of him.
Other teams can not film other teams but the NFL has film that teams exchange which I'm sure show the sideline from time to time. It's not hard to think the Patriots saw something.
