  1. I have that picture too! Against the Jets, right?
  2. Get rid of the stupid celebrations. It's dumb. These players are now dancing around when they make a first down. That's their fricken job - move the ball down the field. Frankly, I always had more respect in a Marv Levy-run team where there were very few celebrations. Those player more often than not scored the TD and then handed the ball to the ref. The opinion of Marv and the players was to act like you've been in the endzone before and will be there again. The way some of these guys act is like they have no idea what it feels like to score a TD.
  3. Just checked PFT and they still say he hasn't been signed as of yesterday.
  4. I was thinking the exact same thing on the way to work when I heard this. Who knows how much they paid him. My thoughts are that he may have taken less money with NE because he now has a viable shot at winning a championship. Stay with the Bills, show him the money because he could play his whole career in Buffalo and never get close to a ring.
  5. Please, no. Romo is as fragile as they come and he's what, 37? I really think that Romo will want to go someplace like Houston where they have a lot of the pieces in place to make a serious playoff run. Buffalo is not quite ready for prime time. Is TT the answer? I don't know, but I'd rather see them try to coach up TT or Jones to see what these guys could do if the right coaching is in place. Frankly, I'd like to stop trying to get into Whaley's mind because it's a confusing place to be.
  6. So sorry to hear. Many prayers your way.
  7. Orton is awful, plain and simple. He's inconsistent and always has been throughout his NFL career. EJ would have done no worse than Orton did. If Bills do make the playoffs, they will not go very deep. I don't see them making the playoffs with Orton at the helm. That, and the fact that we have the underachieving Hackett as OC, along with a substandard group of coaches, Bills are bound for year 15 on the couch watching the post season.
  8. Comparing a veteran who's had a lot of opportunities on four different NFL teams to essentially a rookie with 14 regular season starts is sort of apples to oranges. I'll give Orton his due in that he's brought his experience to the offense and is getting it done at QB. However, let's not forget the questionable play calling by Hackett and the assumption that HE may have been holding EJ back from his development. Hackett has destroyed CJ Spiller's career in Buffalo by refusing to utilize his talents by building more outside running schemes for him instead of sending him between the tackles where he's proven to be unsuccessful time and time again. I can only think that his conservative play calling held EJ back from cutting it loose and giving it a shot. I didn't agree with benching EJ but I'm a Bills fan and if Orton is going to keep winning games for the Bills, then I'm 100% behind him. I just hope EJ is back under center again, maybe next year, after a good spell of real development and learning. He has the tools...he just needs to be coached. Also, keep it in the back of your mind that Orton lost his starting QB job to Tim Tebow in Denver. Bottom line, the winning might not last a real long time.
  9. Testing the waters here to see what some folks think about that. He's done a great job as an QB coach and OC in San Diego. I'm sure he'll eventually be offered a HC position at some point. Maybe too soon for that to happen but I wonder. I believe Marrone will be gone after this year and we'll be in the hunt for yet another HC, possibly even a GM. Like I said, would like to hear what some of you folks think about this.
  10. Already bought my tickets this morning for this game. We live in Cheyenne, WY...a mere 1.5 hours north of the stadium. Looking forward to it. Have lots of good friends who are Broncos fans so should be interesting.
  11. Actually, I wonder just how Fitz would have done with a new coach, gameplan, and hopefully some new energy on the team. I'm not sold on Tavaris Jackson and any QB in the draft is probably not going to start. Might not have been a bad idea to hang on to him for another season and let him compete for the job this time. All of this combined just may have brought out a little more in the man. I wish him luck in Tennessee.
  12. Dynasty defined: dynasty (ˈdɪnəstɪ) — n , pl -ties 1. a sequence of hereditary rulers: an Egyptian dynasty 2. any sequence of powerful leaders of the same family: the Kennedy dynasty I hate when anyone uses this word to describe a sports franchise who has experienced success. Sorry, but the Pats of the 2000s/2010s, the Niners of the 80s, and the Steelers of the 70s/80s just don't fit the mold. When I lived in CT for 2 long years around ignorant Pats fans, they were uttering this word after their second SB win. I, too, was pulling for the Pats in the SB with the Rams because of the Cinderella (aka Brady - who acts like Cinderella now) story. They were humble then, or at least Brady was. Now, they're just a bunch of punks with bad attitudes in winning and losing, especially losing.
  13. I also agree and I hope that Ralph, Russ, and all the powers that be read this article. Sometimes ya just gotta call the baby ugly and this article did exactly that. Bills fans should probably start preparing for the kick in the gut feeling when the team finally leaves Buffalo. I hate to think about it but I'm afraid that unless something miraculous happens, we'll be without our beloved Bills within the next 5 years. I was living in Baltimore in 1996 when the Browns left and move to Baltimore. Thankfully for Cleveland, they left their colors and history/heritage in Cleveland. I just remember watching the news and seeing grown men sobbing outside Cleveland Stadium in September that year and thinking that could eventually happen in Buffalo.
