Which team would you say had the better rushing attack? NE with their backs averaging 5.0 and 4.4 YPC OR BUF with their backs averaging 5.7 and 4.6 YPC

Better OL blocking against stacked fronts and defenses that didn’t have to respect NE’s passing game like they have to respect BUF’s. James Cook averaged 5.7 YPC last year, but no one should try arguing that BUF had a better rushing attack.

When it comes to YAC, BUF’s offense is friendlier for RBs. Harris had a washed up Cam Newton and noodle arm Mac Jones to take the heat off the running game…teams played the run time and time again. Defenses have to defend Josh Allen, preventing them from doing the same against Buffalo. Cook, in his rookie year, averaged 5.7 YPC, a full yard higher than Devin. Cook and Devin share a lot of qualities, Buffalo needed a physical presence at RB to pick up the tough yards. The less we have to rely on Allen to do that, the better.

It’s not a ridiculous cliche, it’s 100% accurate. You shouldn’t pay big money to RBs, and they aren’t valued how they used to be. That doesn’t mean Buffalo shouldn’t have kept Motor, as those are two different things.

His potential is very high. Very explosive player that can give defenses headaches. He just has to stay healthy.

He is significantly better at pass protection. He’s one of the Top 20 guards in pass pro. Be more accurate.

If we can’t keep Poyer on a friendly discount, and it doesn’t appear we can, you let him walk. I appreciate his play and hard work, but you pay them based on what they can do, not on what they did.

In the limited time we saw Shakir, I was impressed. I don’t know what kept the coaches from playing him more though.

Frazier is terrible, but he will only go if someone is dumb enough to hire him. Any defensive free agent needs to be passed on. This crew just isn’t getting it done when it matters most. Invest in the OL.
