Josh is the only QB we have had probably since Drew Bledsoe that I don't feel like we are out of the game when we fall behind, our defense definitely helps but I believe we always have a chance to win the game with him behind center.
I feel like people are expecting a perfect product from Josh. He's barely scratching the surface of his potential, last year it was concerns about his completion percentage and that's dramatically improved, give the QB of our 5-1 team credit.
I might be in the minority with this but I'm good unless we can get him for like a 4th. I think the last few years have shown you can get a guy in the draft and develop him and they can contribute early. If AJ was about 2 years younger and had less injury histroy I would be all in giving up a 2nd this year and a future mid rounder for him.
That's kinda what I was thinking, it gives Vrabel an out at the end of the year saying that he was saddled with Mariota and he can say "If i can draft my guy I can turn this around" it might be job preservation rather than thinking of who puts your team in a better position to win this year.
I love all the optimism and the attitude that we don't really have to worry about this game, as for me I'm not quite there with this team yet. It is by far the most talented team we have had in quite awhile but I still get a little anxious that we just crap the bed and lose to a bad team. Think of it like a rescue dog who finally got adopted things have been going well for awhile but in the back of my head I think I will be out on the street again!
I am in my mid 30's so my earliest memories of football are the Bills dominating with the K gun. I Thought Jim Kelly was super cool (still is) and I loved Thurman, so I think I just adopted them when I was a kid.
Thank you everyone for all the response, there is a lot I hope to do when I get there, and I look forward to going through the TBD lot. See you all soon, Go Bills!
Making my first trip to watch a home game in Buffalo! I've told myself I wouldn't make the trip/ spend the $ until I thought they were a legit playoff team and this is the year I'm pulling the trigger. I will be there for the Nov 3rd game vs the Redskins, can't wait to make my pilgrimage and enjoy a game with the best fans in the NFL. Go Bills!
He can be a bit much sometimes, but I do admire the amount of time he puts into his takes, he usually has some pretty interesting stats backing up his positions.
A lot of good young WR's in next years draft, he is incredibly talented but I wouldn't give up more than a 3rd or 4th for a 30 y/o WR with a long injury history.
