Everything you heard about Josh Allen, you heard about EJ Manuel. -

Possibly, you should start a thread about it. -

I wouldn’t consider it a sure thing with a 10M pre and 4.5M post June 1 cap hit. -
Jets and Quinnen Williams agree on 4-year 96 million deal
TheWeatherMan replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Williams, Mosley and Rodgers now account for a roughly $150M cap hit in 2024 which puts the Jets ~$80M over the cap. -
This is likely Morse and Hines last year on the team. Minimal cap savings this year but $13M in 2024. Murray is signed for the vet min, not sure where the $3.5M is coming from. If he’s cut, it has nothing to do with his cap charge. If I had to guess on player cuts, none of these guys would be on my list. This article is not only unrealistic, it is completely void of fact. Based on your comments, the article didn’t pass your smell test, so why create a thread referencing it?

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)

It’s never the best option for any WR to play for a bottom 5 QB regardless of how much respect they have for the HC. -

Bills named team with most “expectations” on them in 2023
TheWeatherMan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jets went all in on a 2-3 year window by gambling on an 39 year old QB with questionable leadership skills. They have the biggest expectation burden IMO. If they don’t win the division or make a deep playoff run, good chance Saleh is looking for for another job in 2025/2026. -

Restructure isn’t an extension so it does not necessarily prolong anything. It makes his contract less tradable which might guarantee his stay in Buffalo. -

Considering we likely won’t be adding any big name FAs, I’d rather take the comp picks for our own losses. Focus on the bargain bin FAs available later in the period. -

It’s bad journalism because it makes zero sense. Diggs did not take a pay cut or receive less guaranteed $. The money was restructured which usually gives players more money up front. This might not be beneficial tax wise, but I’d still think most players would want the $ now. From my understanding, these types of restructures can happen even without the player agreeing to it. Diggs might be unhappy we didn’t sign DHop, but it’s not because of his restructure. -

Buffalo Bills Depth Chart Per ESPN

RT is such a glaring hole for this team. Brown and Q aren’t reliable at all and Josh deserves better. -
Are the Jaguars a lock for the one seed?
TheWeatherMan replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair weather fan? I stated nothing but facts. A warmer weather team came to Buffalo with a 3rd string UFA Rookie QB and nearly pulled off the upset. You want me to believe we would trounce the Jags? We might have beat them in a close match but there’s zero reason to believe we would crush them. -

We barely survived against the Phins 3rd string QB and then got bent by the Bengals in the playoffs. Explain why you think we would have “beaten the socks off” the Jags last year in the playoffs? -
I see one cut and it barely slowed him down. Benford whiffed and Cam Lewis (who sucked that game) was way out of position. Again, he wasn’t touched or slowed in anyway. The TBD member, whose GF racks up sacks, probably could have busted that lose.

Taking extreme outliers away from a dataset is most cases provided for a more accurate conclusion. For example, let’s say cook was burning us for 10 yards a clip, than fumbles the ball from his RZ, where’s its kicked around and eventually recovered for an 81 yard loss. Now his 20 rushes for 200 yards looks like 21 rushes for 119 or 5.6 yards per carry. I’m a huge fan of Dalvin, I draft him nearly every year for fantasy but his 81 yard run in which he made one cut, hit a gaping hole and was never touched had nothing to do with how good he is (and he is exceptional) it had to do with how awful the Bills defense executed on that play. Any RB that runs a sub 4.8 takes that 81 yards to the house. Poor tackling? He wasn’t touched on the play. He wasn’t even breathed on.

Frank Clark Signed By The Broncos
TheWeatherMan replied to Donuts and Doritos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dare I say this might actually be a good signing by Denver for once? -
Actually, that’s exactly how it worked.
-
81 yards completely untouched. He had 119 rushing yards on 14 carries and 27 through the air. Minus that big run the Bills locked Cook down.

#1 He was traded, he didn’t leave. I’m pretty sure Diggs didn’t have a no trade clause in his contract. #2 There is not a single receiver in this league that would rather catch passes from Kirk Cousins than Josh Allen. The Bills were an ascending team as well with a budding star at QB (unlike MN). I’d say Diggs made the correct decision even if it wasn’t his decision. -
I don’t want Dalvin or anyone else until I see what his brother can do. James has an insanely high ceiling in both the running and receiving game. The last few games he looked decisive, explosive and at times elite, and that was with a doo doo Oline
-
Then why resign them both to two year contracts this off-season?
-
Maybe, but what does Cook add to the current stable of RB’s? I for one will be surprised if Miami signs him. When you have 2 top 10 WR’s on your roster there’s no reason to have 3 above average RB’s (possibly 4 based on how rook plays). When Miami drafted Achane I think it quite possibly removed Cook as an option. Standing by to eat crow.
