  1. Both you and NewEra took a rather silly rhetorical approach to my reply/question. Of course, in the grand scheme of things there has never been a single post on this message board that is truly relevant in the eyes of OBD management. You would think this would go without saying.
  2. NFL historical precedents are irrelevant? I didn’t say the Bills, I said the NFL. It’s a fair question which you failed to answer. I 10000% hope he is the exception, but I honestly can’t think of a single TE in the modern day NFL that was a game changer in season #1. Pitts had over 1000 yards his rookie year, but played on an awful team so it’s hard to establish him as a game changer. Only other 1000 yard rookie TE was Ditka back in the 70’s. Again, I hope I’m wrong and Kincaid breaks all the TE rookie records, but history isn’t on our side for immediate dividends.
  3. Not that I disagree, but the question still remains the same.
  4. Sure hope so, but in reality we need to curb expectations out of the gate. Name the last rookie TE that had a major immediate impact?
  5. Sipping back on grandpas old cough medicine? Cmon, Gimme that booze ya little pumpkin pie hair cutted freak! Tic-Tac…sir?
  6. Whoever is cheaper between DHOP and adams is good with me
  7. Honestly Doc, I’m here to read and engage in intelligent conversations about Bills football, not appease the masses. If you disagree with my takes, it’s probably because we’ve lived different lives and see things through different lenses. A non diverse message board where everybody sees things the same way, would be an extremely boring one. We stand to learn more from those we disagree with. Glad you enjoyed my story. 🍻
  8. When I first met Jim I didn’t know who he was. My son went to the same elementary school as his son and they ended up being best friends. After a couple play dates at their mansion in Pebble Beach my wife, who was bringing my son to their house, decided to Google their names, and that is how we found out. I mostly communicated with his wife, Courtney when dropping my son off. She is as kind and humble as can be. I have videos of my son playing on their Par 3 in the back of their house. Their youngest daughters liked my youngest sons name so much they named their Elf on a Shelf after him. They even sent us a Christmas card one year. Every time Jim is doing a Bills game, my son asks “Why’s Jameson’s dad on TV, is he a Bills fan?”. After the video the OP posted, I can now tell him truthfully…yes!
  9. I used to have ties to the Nantz family when I lived in Monterey. Jim and Courtney are some of the nicest, most down to earth people you will ever meet. Best sports commentator on the planet.
  10. Looking at the salary cap savings for 2024 the following players need to have an amazing season to remain with the team: Taron Johnson, Jordan Poyer, Deonte Harty, Nyheim Hines, Siran Neal and Reggie Gilliam.
  11. I wouldn’t call him a bum, he looked like an above average first year OC to me. Problem is, having a first year OC lead a SB caliber offense of a team poised to make a SB run probably wasn’t the brightest idea.
  12. So the old af QB who needs tons of rest, gets it. The NFL is all about the large market teams being front and center on the big stage. Get used to Rodgers drawing opportune roughing calls while Sauce continues to ride our receivers like a pony.
  13. Also to keep in mind the Jets have 30 UFAs next year (Bills 25) and a good chunk of them they will want to re sign. The more I look at their situation, it’s pretty much an all in championship or bust roster for the next two years. They are going to lose a lot of young talent and will be the 2022 Rams before long.
  14. I act childish for free, giving me 80 million more reasons to do it wouldn’t be an inhibitor.
  15. Exactly, it’s a very bold win now move. They could extend to tack on ghost years to spread the cap hit but that would be unwise as well.
  16. No other team traded for a $50M AAV player and rolled 90% of their salary to the next year. Rodgers counts for more than $100M next year. Cap wise, the Jets are in the worst shape of any team for 2024.
  17. They’re 41M in the red for 2024. It’s possible, but I’d love to see them take on another +$20M contract. Jets have swung for the fences and are going to have to get very creative the next few years with their cap.
  18. Slot Receiver is a position. Why would you have a TE who is not good at blocking play the Y?
  19. Exactly. By 2024 Allen will be paid like a mid tier QB. We’re in great shape for the long haul with our key players signed long term.
  20. Disagree, every tough team we play is on the road and closely scheduled (back loaded). The best teams we play at home are the Jets and Dolphins.
