I don’t see this team as better than last years even with a bunch of added cap space. Not sure what the philosophy is here by Beane, but he’s added a bunch of unproven or oft injured players to a team that’s been inches away from making a SB appearance.
Every one of those teams will not sniff the playoffs this coming year. If the Chiefs didn’t bench their starters, Broncos were out this year. If Kupp chases the bag, he goes to one of these teams.
The only teams making significant moves are:
1) A good team with a QB on a rookie contract
or
2) Decent teams without a franchise QB
or
3) Crappy teams with tons of cap space.
Chill the F out, lots of time to make moves. Plenty of cuts coming. Trade for a difference maker or two and pluck from the bargain bin (veterans that want to win).
The league is flush with garbage teams with tons of money to spend. It’s going to be a quiet few days for the top teams in the league that have QBs on a second contract.
Agree, but also have to consider the offense failed to score on their last possessions the last two playoff losses, which could/should have sealed a win.
Looks like Beane doing everything possible to free up cap. Fully expect the Bills to be aggressive in FA unlike years past. Need starters in the Secondary (1xS/1xCB), 1xDE, 1xWR(#1), and 2xDTs (DT/NT) all strong needs.
Lots of churn with the cap numbers with contract extensions, releases, and possible trades. All you cap gurus please post your latest assessment as to where the Bills are at cap wise.
