I have NEVER met a Patriots fan that can name a single Patriots player off the top of their head - other than Drew Bledsoe - who played before the Brady/BB era. Part of that is because they were a complete joke of a franchise for their first 40 years. But part of that is, of course, because New Englanders are terrible football fans and complete bandwagoners who have been condoning cheating and celebrating sociopathic behavior for 20 years. Cover the field in a layer of adult toys, Bills fans! Let's end this fraudulent dynasty.

Your Top 5 Most Entertaining Bills Seasons
ComradeKayAdams replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd include the 1964 Bills in there (better than the Browns and Colts). I could also make a case for the 1999 Bills and 1965 Bills, though it would be a bit more of a stretch. If you want to include Buffalo pro football in general, I'll include the 1920 and 1921 All-Americans. -
Bills featured on NFL Matchup
ComradeKayAdams replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's why I say the sooner Bills fans launch those "special toys" out onto the field, the better. -
Singletary in particular. This offense badly needs him next Sunday.

10th time in 60 seasons that the Bills have started out 3-0. 5 of them ended in the AFL/AFC Championship game.

Do you even NFL, bruh?! I work at GMFB. I watch every game. Initially, I was skeptical like you. I thought he was merely the most transformative athlete this pro sport has ever seen in its illustrious 100-year history. But after Thursday night's game, I'm now convinced. He is the son of God, presumably back again this time to do good against the very dark forces that inhabit this beloved league of ours (Doug Marrone, Patriots, etc...). Will you bow down immediately and deliver your oath of fealty to Gardner Minshew, young GoBills808? Or will you continue to be a skeptical d!ck and pollute this message board with your heresy? Your choice. Make it a good one. As for me? I'm prepping my private parts in anticipation of Gardner's next mandate. Godspeed, GoBills808. Godspeed.

Easiest path to 10 wins and a probable wild card is: beat Jets, Dolphins twice, Bengals, Steelers, Broncos, Titans, and Redskins. This is very doable.

Gardner Minshew is real. And he's spectacular. He's an absolute dreamboat on and off the field. I'm e-mailing him my ovulation calendar right now.

My thoughts exactly. White and Gilmore as your 2 CB's is devastating. But Levi Wallace has a lot of promise. Plus White is going to demand a Gilmore-like contract next year, so I don't know if it's wise to allocate that much money to your CB's in this style of defense. Oh yeah, and this is a very important point: I don't think Gilmore would fit in this locker room. All of these McBeane Bills actually seem to like playing in Buffalo and like the fans.

Steve Tasker Highlights 92-96
ComradeKayAdams replied to TSNBDSC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This reminds me how the NFL was a much better product back then, when special teams actually mattered and was legitimately one-third of the game. -
Miami reportedly ready to pull plug on Fitz
ComradeKayAdams replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dolphins on pace for an 0-16 season, with 80 points scored and 816 points given up. Well done with the tank, boys. Well done. <slow clap> -
I like stats. They make me happy. Here are the 8 stats I always look for when evaluating the quality of a defense: 1. Points allowed per game 2. Yards allowed per game 3. Red zone TD percentage 4. 3rd down percentage 5. Run yards allowed per play 6. Opponent passer rating 7. Sacks 8. Interceptions They still need to work on the red zone defense, which was abysmal last year. More turnovers would also be nice. Otherwise, a great start to the season! We should keep bumping this thread and track their progression in all these stat categories. Can't wait to get the stat boost with the two games against Miami!!!

9/8 Around the NFL Gameday Thread
ComradeKayAdams replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice to see the Jets, Browns, and Jags all deflating in week 1. Looking forward to seeing what the Steelers and Texans have. If not much, then our path to the second wild card could become a bit more hopeful. -
[Name Only Title] Frank Gore
ComradeKayAdams replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I already miss Shady a lot. 10 carries for 81 yards, 1 catch for 12 yards. It was pure stupidity to cut him, in my opinion. HOWEVER....McBeane logic was that we wanted to give his carries to Singletary instead, because McCoy would have been a potential locker room cancer due to this (I'm not so sure about this...), and because there was no trade market for McCoy at his salary. So in reality, we are comparing McCoy with Singletary when evaluating the wisdom of cutting McCoy. And while it's very foolish to reach conclusions after Week 1, Singletary did go 4 carries for 70 yards and 5 catches for 28 yards today. As for Gore, I'm not too worried about him YET. The Jets' gameplan was clearly directed at stopping our run game in its tracks and making Allen beat us through the air. Their plan was a good one and almost worked. -
No idea. "Decibel" Brown? Beane must have snuck him onto the roster without anyone "hearing" about him.

Dion Dawkins voted Team Captain.
ComradeKayAdams replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This says a lot about the development of Dawkins and Edmunds as players and leaders in the locker room. I would have guessed Morse and Hyde instead. -
I know, right?! Is it GMFB's very own Kay Adams you are talking to on an internet mesage board?! Or is it just a sad, overweight, balding, middle-aged dude named Biff who is messing with you from his mother's basement computer in Tonawanda? And perhaps at a deep existential level, does it even matter?

This is probably my favorite Buffalo Bills meme.

Three things about this franchise that should never ever ever EVER be changed: 1. The Buffalo location (on that note, please put the new stadium in downtown Buffalo). 2. The Bills name (homage to the defunct AAFC Buffalo Bills from 1946-49 that should have joined the NFL with the Browns, 49ers, and original Colts). 3. The red, white, and blue colors (I believe - but I could be wrong - an homage to the original NFL Buffalo All-Americans franchise from the 1920's who arguably deserved to have won the first two league titles in 1920 and 1921).

I have no problem with people being critical of Marv Levy. It's important and interesting to discuss history with honesty and objectivity. However, I think people also need to use historical context when evaluating Levy. The NFL was a very different league 30 years ago. What seems like obvious professionalism and protocol now (forcing players to not party the night before a Super Bowl) wasn't so obvious back then. Also, read this to get a better sense of the SB 25 gameplan that allowed Bill Belichick to help the Giants upset the Bills: https://media.nyfootball.net/25/html/article-belichick.html I don't even fault the Bills too much for losing the next three Super Bowls, as they were the consensus underdogs in all three. The NFC East was simply incredible back then in the early 1990's. You had three converging NFL dynasties (Parcells' Giants, Gibbs' Redskins, Johnson's Cowboys) in addition to the Buddy Ryan-built Eagles with Randall Cunningham and an amazing defense. The teams in that division were simply built the right way for the NFL rules at the time. The AFC Bills were probably a little too light along the DL and OL for these guys (even though the Bills did well against that division during the 1990 and 1993 regular seasons). Pro football is a uniquely brutal sport where injuries and the competition level make it unusually difficult to repeat high levels of success. Winning 4 conference titles in a row is very impressive. How impressive, you ask? Well let's look at it this way: using the NFL's officially recognized standard of equating early day NFL titles (1920-32) and NFL Championship games (1933-69) and AFL Championship games (1960-69) with the modern day AFC/NFC Conference Champions, no team but the 1990-93 Bills has ever won 4 in a row. 3 in a row has happened 5 times (1922-24 Bulldogs, 1929-31 Packers, 1965-67 Packers, 1971-73 Dolphins, 2016-18 Patriots). 2 in a row has happened 23 times (1932-33 Bears, 1940-41 Bears, 1948-49 Eagles, 1952-53 Lions, 1954-55 Browns, 1958-59 Colts, 1960-61 Titans/Oilers, 1961-62 Packers, 1964-65 Bills, 1966-67 Packers, 1970-71 Cowboys, 1973-74 Vikings, 1974-75 Steelers, 1977-78 Cowboys, 1978-79 Steelers, 1982-83 Redskins, 1986-87 Broncos, 1988-89 49ers, 1992-93 Cowboys, 1996-97 Packers, 1997-98 Broncos, 2003-04 Pats, 2013-14 Seahawks). Winning multiple conference titles in a row is so difficult that no team besides the Patriots dynasty has done it in the 21st century with the sole exception of the 2013-14 Seahawks. By the way, notice how only 7 prestigious franchises have done this multiple times: Packers, Bears, Cowboys, Broncos, Steelers, Patriots, and....our Bills (a random shout-out to the AFL Bills)! Bottom line: Marv Levy was a flawed coach who made mistakes....but was still a VERY deserving Hall of Fame coach. Marv Levy was no Bill Belichick, but he's still among the top 20 or so head coaches in NFL history. Can't wait for the 2019 season: the one where the Cheatriots dynasty ends and the new Beane/McDermott/Allen AFC East superpower emerges.
