Into the late ‘60’s, the AFL was still deemed an inferior league to the big bad NFL. In ‘65 the Jets outbid the Cardinals for “no knees”, it ended that notion in 1969. Namath became near legendary. Because of him, no hate for Jets forever for me.

Defenses will have a much easier time, more often, with so many poor and average QB’s. TB, AR heading to pasture real soon, unlikely to be replaced with equal talent for awhile. The ability to draft an above average and long serving QB is growing scarce and harder.
