    The pitch count created all heat, limited finesse. It’s been the mindset for decades. Kids coming up are trained in that mode. Going to be quite awhile to develop pitchers throwing like Moyer effectively. Baseball now wants more of what they eliminated. Good luck. You got guys throwing 75-85 m.p.h. knuckleballs, who’d ever think that possible? Not me.

    It took awhile, but, the pitch count added to the problem MLB was hoping to diminish. Now they think they can change the pitching mindset that evolved from the pitch count.
