There is legitimacy to health concerns relating to sleep apnea. Weight, alcohol, sleep meds, strong anti-depressants can be significant contributors. Most who have issues with such things usually go the route of the B/C PAP rather than addressing them first, if at all.

Sleep apnea saved my marriage, I got my own bedroom.

Most everyone who get tested is told they have it.

Where I grew up there was one on almost every block, most with the same layout: long bar, smallish back room. Neighborhood dads go there to get “barley sandwiches”.

I was thinking more to my “haunts of yore”, bars where I cash my paycheck, full bar after work, blue collar type crowd. Wife call, tell her I’m not here kind of place. They were commonplace, granted I’m going back to late ‘70’s through early ‘90’s…..might help explain my two divorces. Anyway, I get the impression this isn’t as much a thing, given I see so many of those type places in the “old turf” gone.
