Bucky and Sully Blackballed By The Pegulas?
US Egg replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The mainstays at WGR, Simon, White, Parker and Schopp, their acts and egos have all grown old. Capaccio too, but he did so much faster and his ego is a bit larger than all others there....easily more so than Schopp and White combined. His occasional reminder of his high school football "career" and he coached kids is so laughable. -
Petermans stats are the new norm for anyone McBeane brings here to play QB. The players and positional coaches on the offense didn't "build" this offense.
-
It was the arrogant process of McClapper McBeane, nothing more, nothing less, that created this QB and offensive culture of a mess. The players and coaches on the offense are a mere subset and offshoot of the terribly poor decisions made by the HC and GM. They had since the end of January to address the Woods & Incognito void and from the end of March to replace Taylor. The results on the field speak to how well they did in doing so. The have demonstrated one thing, they're novices.

McDermott's Monday Segment With Schopp & Bulldog: 11/5/18
US Egg replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both teams had way better QB situations, which he don't acknowledge and he had nothing to do with their being there. Neither team was as bad as his Bills team. -

As you rightly point out, it makes it a bit perplexing that a new HC out of the gate finds that is also a priority in changing the culture of his team. It's not a stretch to think he found flaws with the team chaplain as he did with players he got rid of. Paranoia ? Maybe ? A bit odd....? -
Stay positive. Bills Wild Return to the Playoffs

Doubt at this point even McClappy would go public with such nonsense. -
You're just trying to be funny, right ? No one can be taken seriously implying the whole point of this year is playing for a high 1st round draft pick.
-
With the draft performance of McBeane and the unthinkable plummeting of the team this year due to their decisions, they killed the buzz of the draft for next season.

“Street” tickets/$7 Seats on StubHub
US Egg replied to 4_kidd_4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A bunch of younger neighbors by me regularly go to the Bills games. Living close to the stadium, their friends park at their homes, the street is full of cars. Many hang out after afterwards win or lose. Not yesterday. Most left quickly, looking somber, almost looking like they just come from a wake or funeral. Watching the most rapid, horrific demise in over 30 yrs. is near painful for some fans. Same with McDermott's pressers. Actually, that's much worse. -

McDermott, along with Beane, have done enough to put themselves in such a situation why catch 22 like questions would be asked. Many of their actions gives the impression they have Gruden like immunity. I don't think they merited nor deserve that in their fledgling HC & GM jobs. -
Clearly the underling coaches/player personnel changes from last year to this year are a huge reason why the 2018 team is much worse than the 2017 team. Add in the blowouts this year in 9 games already exceeds last years large amount and it's not difficult to see this years team is far worse than last years. McBeane surely created this mess. To think next year, even with the salary cap space, 2019's team will be 9-7 team like the 2017 team seems preposterous.

One of McDermotts early moves as HC was the hiring of a team minister he wanted and felt was necessary. So to query McDermotts approach to selecting players and coaches could pertain to their faith is not as off the wall as some might think. -

....then he should not have been hired. It's 2018, not 1918. That kind of mindset in overseers of an NFL team nowadays is/be disastrous. -
Agreed....except their principles are failures at excelling an NFL team.

OK you McBeane defenders lets hear your rationalizing this abomination of a team. Bringing up last years 9-7 and their backing into the playoffs is a feeble and pathetic attempt justifying McBeanes total ineptness. -

Sabres can score more points than the Bills
US Egg replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've already watched the Sabres more this year than the last 3 seasons combined. Be it maturation or fresh talent, or both, this team appears to be able to compete. -
McBeane has created such a mess this season they can't think straight about this year.....let alone next season.

Spent many weekend nights there with my 2nd wife in the 80's. Their steak sandwich and chili was very good back then. More often we'd end up at the Towne restaurant eating open chicken souvlakis doused in Greek dressing. You're right, offense is desperate and pathetic. To watch McBeane's offensive weekly this year, one seems near sadistic.
-
Yeah, you're right. McBeane is looking desperate with bringing Andersen in and Beane coming out of his shell last week to concede they erred going with Peterman and Allen.
-
A move like this would make it appear a team is desperate. No team would show that card mid-season.
