Add in the fact the many N.E. coordinators that have been hired away to be HC's with the thinking they could replicate the Patriots success have all pretty much floundered in college and the pros. Fact is B & B are the greatest HC and QB winning combo ever. It will never be seen again in the NFL..... .....that's how they'll be remembered, no matter how much anyone wants to obsessively denigrate it.

The Buffalo News, I think, has an axe to grind with the Pegulas. It has appeared they have had run ins and fall outs on a variety of issues with reporters and other things. The BN has exposed things about them they didn't like, such as their land purchases near the arena. Also, thought I read that the Pegulas stopped hiring the BN to do game day program printing, or something of that sort, I'm not positive. But, there should be some reservations on the validity on this topic, as the BN is solely reporting on this so far. This women's date implications that supposedly occured at the Marriott seem vague. But, again maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere that Evander Kane lived there in a suite during his time in Buffalo.

These mandatory Thursday night, every team has to play one game, are almost always abysmal. Thursday Thanksgiving day games are different. Players seem to perform better. Maybe it's knowing it is an old NFL tradition and that multitudes of football fans who on a Sunday be watching elsewhere have all eyes on these games. Extending the NFL weekend from Sunday to Tuesday Night would make more sense.Teams would have 4 days to prepare for upcoming Sunday game rather than the three they get to prepare for a Thursday game and the league could continue to showcase the good teams competing for better games and ratings. Games on a Tuesday night sounds odd, but with better teams and on a major network and more revenue. Fans who show up on Thursday will show up on Tuesday, especially a premiere matchup. These every one plays Thursday seemed designed just to give the fledgling NFL network their own game in order to give their network credibility. That's small thinking.

This happened months ago. Seems to fly in the face of the praise heaped on McBeane in here and elsewhere for their not tolerating unsavory types. Owners, GM's and coaches will deny it as best they can but know their team, and every team, have players of questionable character, to say the least. Standing on a high horse regarding your teams players is a tough sell given the league history and often folly. But I'll still watch....I'm not that pious.
