    Cars 1st album, Cheap Trick’s ‘Heaven Tonight’ and Police ‘Zenyatta Mondatta…..they were their best albums imo.

    I think playing sets of the best stuff from bands that have similar styles would draw a wider crowd. 1st set: all Cars 2nd set: all Cheap Trick 3rd set: all Police A killer combo be 1st set: all Depeche Mode 2nd set: all Bowie ……if you need a spoon player or wax paper comb musician, my cousin Virgil Lee Henry is the best. Let me know.

    That’s cool, hometown boy makes good. Trying to tread lightly here, but the country exposed itself with the efforts/success to keep Adam Lambert from rightfully winning. Kid was a treat to watch, again, best performer on that show imo. Got to add, he did his best, just couldn’t buy into him fronting Queen. Glad the kid cashed in on his talent, though.

    Makes me think of going to the drive-in. A source for a trifecta of entertainment in my life with family, then my obnoxious teen friends, then dates & girlfriends. Also remember being at a multi screen drive-in with my parents and my brother and I getting caught by Dad trying to peek at the r-rated movies on another screen hoping to see ‘boobies’.

    Padres and Dodgers had a bit of a plunkathon series, Ohtani twice intentionally. But he prevented a repeat of another bench clearing like the one a half inning earlier. …..the announcers gushed like he was Moses parting the Red Sea.

    Might sound hokey, but for me, especially being a kid and teen, listening to the radio was quite captivating and it felt a bit magical trying to visualize the game in my mind. I didn’t feel cheated or denied some sort of privilege I should be entitled to and still don’t now. Probably because of growing up with it.

    Driving through Alabama easily going 80, near bumper to bumper in the passing lane, and couldn’t get over to get out of the passing lane. Had to laugh when I went under a bridge and cops are standing up on it shooting radar. I mean seriously, what’s the cutoff?

    I should apologize for singling out public workers since so many projects are bid out to contractors. Many think the workers on roads and sewers are their municipality employees standing around. They all look the same in their neon green t-shirts and reflective vests.

    It was Bruce Smith’s birthday yesterday. Apparently, he was late to his party because he was driving and on the way there fell asleep at a red light.
