  1. Great pick. More upside and at a position of need.
  2. Great trade .... questionable whether we got the right Josh ... but it was pretty close in my book. Highest Ceiling QB in draft and we only gave up two 2nd rounders to upgrade from 7 to 12. Rosen is more NFL ready but I have always been concerned about his durability. Will need at least 3 years as to k owing whether we got the right Josh or not. Feeling very happy actually.

  4. Typical Browns .... awful pick
  5. Yep, that was a bit quick .... he is also too quick to stand fighters up or seperate clinches as the wrestler searches for position. He did this again in the adeysana fight
  6. I would like to take a flier on Martavis but he is not worth a 3rd rounder in his Contract year and one needs to also factor in his lack of production the past two seasons
  7. Unfortunately true ... he still has the skills to be dangerous, but has absorbed too much damage over the years. he has tried to fight defensively his last two fights, but that just does not work for him.
  8. NBK (The Natural Born Killer, Carlos Condit tries to get his career back on track. I have always been a big fan of NBK, but he has not been the same since the Lawler fight ... where he was robbed by the judges and Lawler stole a bit of his soul in the process. This might be Condit's last chance to right the ship. Tough opponent in cowboy olivier ... should be a brawl.
  9. Had a friend who had a major problem with stuttering well into adult hood. He could never overcome it, but I always respected that he never let it hold him back career wise. He would always ind a way to make himself understood. On another note I read an article over on NFL.com about draft prospect tackle Connor Williams (out of texas) who had problems with stuttering and was bullied for it as a child. interesting enough read
  10. If going Bob Seger you need to go with the Travelling Man/Beautiful loser Jam from Live Bullet Eagles : Take it Easy always a good one. Personally I would go old school with some Marshall Tucker or Allman Brother jams.
  11. Surprised nobody mentioned this, but "There's Something About Mary" always comes to mind when I think of great comedies.
  12. Because either can play guard as well as center, and we need better than miller, Ducasse etc.
  13. Gotta be Kerryon, although doubling up on a cb with Everett or another interior lineman like Clapp would also work.
  14. This certainly would BE a best case scenario, unless darnold were to magically drop to 12. Absolutely foolish to put all your eggs (3 #1s and 2 #2s) in a draft with no single standout QB. LJ will be a lot better than advertised. it is too bad so many cannot get past the lazy tyrod and rg3 comparisons.
  15. If we include a next year's #1 or even #2 in any move up, we are mortgaging the future. That would an extremely foolish thing to do considering this looks like it will be an exceptionally down year for us ... meaning the pick could be top 5 next year. If they trade next year.s #1, they lose all credibility.
  16. As they say, "Past performance does not necessarily reflect future returns". I think every year needs to be looked at in a vacuum. Sure we can learn from historical trends, but not be tied to them. What matters is the individual players available at the time. I like Rosen, but to trade two drafts away to get him and then put a frail, concussion prone QB behind a line that includes dawkins/miller/bodine/ducasse/Milla ... seems foolhardy at best. Sure we could sit him for two years while we try to build an OL, but then maybe we are better off getting a more mobile QB who can at least run for his life and has a longer incubation period in terms of being ready to play (Allen or Jackson). I like Rosen, but he will be roadkill very quickly behind a line like that. There is a lot to be learned from the Colts/Andrew Luck Saga .... or for that matter Texans/Carr, Browns/Couch ..... all talented QBS who had their careers derailed by all the punishment they took early on.
  17. You missed the point. this is a reasonable representation of how much value we would be giving up to "upgrade" from Rudolph to Rosen. I would add, that with no offensive line it does not matter who is at QB .... and it eliminates the running game too.
  18. Per your suggestion my latest fanspeak on the clock draft 1:12 G Q Nelson (Lucky to be there I know) 1. 22 G W Hernandez (Yep 2 guards in 1st) 2:21 QB M Rudolph 2:24 T K Miller 3:01 WR J Washington (Pair with Rudolph) 3:32 CB A Everett (Best DB available) 4:21 DT R McIntosh (Eventual replacement for Kyle) 5:29 LB O Burks (Best LB Available) 6:13 C W Clapp Of course with the logic of so many here, I should have traded Q Nelson , W Hernandez, M Rudolph, Kolton Miller AND a 2019 #1 for Josh Rosen (Facepalm) Or in other words Rosen - Rudolph (difference between 2 in value) is better than Quentin Nelson, Will Hernandez, Kolton Miller AND 2019 #1 (Facepalm again)
  19. Can he throw an out route?
  20. If Jackson is the pick, it means they finally got it right.
  21. Nah, I have it on good authority that Beane forcing RI out was all about getting McDermott to resign. Beans has seen the light. Rex and Rob are waiting in the wings for their triumphant return to Buffalo.
  22. I totally agree and have been preaching this from day 1. Pay fair value. Don't panic over desperation for a QB. It could be great to get one, but you do not give 12,21, 2 second rounders AND next year's #1 for a QB that is not even a consensus top 2 in this draft. Rosen is nice and Allen has huge upside, but you do not pay THAT much for that amount of risk.
  23. Yes .... the $$$ was too much if they were not committed to him. This is a rebuilding year, and their lucky playoff entry last year took some of the heat off in terms of delivering short term results. They can afford to wing it at QB for a year and try something else. Also to avoid damaging the locker room. I think the benching for Peterman hurt them there, whether it came out publicly or not. Not Tyrod's fault, but he was pretty popular among players.
  24. But, but, but ... we must trade all our picks this year and next to make sure we are ahead of them .... even if it means trading significantly more than they did to move up. WE deserve that right this year. 《Sarc》
