Joey Bosa signs with Buffalo. 1 year, $12.6 million
LLCoolCy replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doubt it. I expect AJ to take a lot of snaps especially on likey rush downs. Need to limit Bosa’s snap so he’s ready for the playoffs. I posted before Bosa and Chase Young were 2 players I should want due to injuries where it likely wouldn’t work…. but just could work for us! And I’d talk myself into getting 14 games out of them. Here we are, and I’m all in! Healthy Bosa makes this D dangerous @ 12mil for 1 year I like the risk. -
Don’t think so either but can play the X and has to be respected by the Defense. He’ll be a big upgrade filling the Mack snaps. (We all appreciate Mack effort but the defense didn’t respect him as a WR) this move allows Keon And Shakir play their best rolls with Samuel subbing at all 3 spots. Still would like Beane to bring in a true speed guy (sub 4.4) to threaten deep and round out the WR room. That may come in the draft.
-
Funny how well the deals for Shakir-13.5M, Benard -12.5M, Rousseau - 20M and Josh's 55M already look like steals. With the Milton Williams news getting Oliver for 17M looks great. It is always better to sign your own early. That said Beane does need to add to the current roster but let the disparate teams pay the first wave premium and swoop in when the money dry's up.
-
Sadly I think the Pats going to 26 million per year making MW the 3rd highest DT may hint on how the feel with Barmore future.
-
Chase Young and Joey Bosa are the most "that never works... but it could work for us" players. If you knew they were playing 14+ games they will be value contracts but that is unlikely. That said, if either come to Buffalo to start vs GRoot I'd be all in immediately.

No comment. need to see all the details but not a good look. -
Von Miller & Bills trying to agree on contract?
LLCoolCy replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Younger doesn't equal better. Von had some flashes last year and will be on the books for roughly 8 million if cut. That's 8 million that can't be spent on any addition young or old. That is unless Von takes a pay cut to the 8 Million and then he's just playing for the Bills on what it'll cost them this year no matter what. Personally I would rather just keep Von at the 8million on the books than cut him and still have to spend and additional 2 mill on a Toohill type for a 4th DE type. -
Totally agree that New England is DESPIRATE for a #1 WR to pair with Maye and willing to overspend in draft picks and compensation. Problem is they tried that last year only to have both Ayuik and Ridley turn them down with the largest contracts. Metcalf already leaked his preference is to a contender which I read as a direst message to the Patriots.

The Kincaid hate has gone to far. Dalton set records with the Bills as a rookie with Knox on the roster. He had multiple injuries last year setting him back from building on year 1. TE is a position that often takes a couple of years to fully realize their potential. Many had the same thoughts on Mike Gesicki had much worse struggles his first 5 years before he became a competent partial starter. Why do we need to give up on Kincaid (or Keon) right away? The staff is challenging them to improve be cause they see them as game changers with some progression. Back to the Metcalf discussion. The true X role on the outside with speed is a fit. I am not sure it is worth a 2nd? and 30-35 million for multiple years. That type of money should be for a true #1 WR that can do it all inside, outside, and blocking the Jefferson, Chase, even a 25 year old Diggs types. I don't view Metcalf in that group type.
-
Essentially they decided they would have a 25 year old vs the 31 year old. Betting on potential If your trying extend your championship window it is probably the right move. Still losing Tuney is a big risk especially as he was their leader and can play swing tackle if needed. Sure Reid has a plan to fill that but it is a major risk for next year.

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

Referee analysis (know you want it) #BUFvsKC officiating crew cheat sheet Clete Blakeman the head ref w' two officials from the Shawn Hochuli crew + 1 addition from Shawn Smith/Tra Blake/ Hussey/Vinovich crews HOME teams an #NFL worst 5-11 w' Clete Blakeman in 2024 Since 2016, HOME TEAMS 46.5% ATS w' Blakeman A league leading 53.5% of Blakeman's penalties were assessed on HOME teams in 2024, co-ranking him No.1 (w'Tra Blake) in this category HOME teams are 7-5 SU & 3-9 ATS in Blakeman's playoff career as head ref. Those home teams favored by an avg of -5pts in those contests The #Bills are 6-2 SU & 4-4 ATS w' Blakeman in the Josh Allen era, favored by an avg of -7.5 pts in those contests The #Chiefs are 5-6 SU & 4-6-1 w' Blakeman since 2018. One game (Week 17, 2020) had Chad Henne at QB (LAC 38-KC 21) It's clear @NFLOfficiating is looking to push back against the #rigged narrative & the assignment of Blakeman at least quietens that in the leadup to the #AFCChampionship The crew itself. You've got Blakeman/2 × Hochuli officials & a Shawn Smith crew member that will be monitoring the trenches /line of scrimmage Blakeman ranked No.1 for UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS in 2024 & Shawn Smith's crew ranked No.1 in 2023 The two Hochuli members cover the ROUGHING THE PASSER penalty category. That crew has ranked No.3 , No.1 & No.2 overall calling this penalty the last 3 seasons So these guys are conditioned to calling these penalties more than most @BuffaloBills No.1 penalized team for FALSE STARTS. They caught a major break w' Cheffers last week. His crew ranked last calling false starts . Conversely, KC is one of the least penalized for false starts The Smith/Hochuli combo rank No.1 & 2 respectively calling FALSE STARTS in 2024 @Chiefs primary issue is OFFENSIVE HOLDING. But the Bills also rank No.7 in offensive holding penalties per game on the road The combo of FALSE START/OFFENSIVE HOLDING, & who navigates it's the best, will be key on Sunday The Blake/Hussey/Vinovich trio patrol the back end. Collectively, an ABOVE avg 16.5% of their overall penalties were assessed via DEFENSIVE HOLDING/D.P.I (league avg 13.6%) D.P.I is way down in #NFLPlayoffs vs regular season, although defensive holding has remained steady In the 3 playoff games between these two, KC avgs 2 penalties for 19 yards & Buffalo 4 for 27 yards. I think they look to "let em play" on Sunday. We'll know early on what the tolerance level is from this crew, or what they've been instructed to do. The team's themselves, evenly matched As much as anything, it's psychological for Buffalo at this point. Yeah, they win in regular season but come up empty in the playoffs . That 13 sec game still haunts them IMO What the NFL wants ? I think they wanted this match-up in the worst possible way for the AFC title game Two weeks buildup of @PatrickMahomes @taylorswift13 & even @CaitlinClark22 prior to the Super Bowl is probably the ideal scenario for Goodell & co The game is at Arrowhead, in the "Show Me State" of Missouri. The #KansasCityChiefs have shown time & again the ability to win these games. The #BuffaloBills have yet to do it in this spot. It's time for them to prove to themselves they can. Until I see it happen, I have to side with the reigning champs Gonna be a classic game, no doubt. Prediction #Chiefs 26 - #Bills 23 #ChiefsKingdom #BillsMafia -
SIAP - found not sure how accurate this poster is but interesting stats on the assigned Ref Crew. #BALvsBUF #DivisionalRound officiating crew cheat sheet No crew is calling a lower percentage of their overall penalties on the HOME team than Carl Cheffers' in 2024 The NFL prefers to mix up the officiating crews in the playoffs, but that's not the case for this game. The league has opted for a predominantly Cheffers' crew w' just one addition apiece from the Adrian Hill/Brad Rogers crews. That's the total opposite from the other 3 crews makeup this weekend Since 2016, HOME teams are 90-57 (61%) w' Cheffers including 11-5 in 2024 Home UNDERDOGS like the Bills currently are have a 24-14-3 ATS (64%) record w' Cheffers over that time frame The #BuffaloBills in the Josh Allen era are 8-2 w' Cheffers, including their 17-3 Divisional Round win over #Baltimore in 2021 The @BuffaloBills rank No.1 for FALSE STARTS. Cheffers' crew rank LAST (17th) calling FALSE START penalties The all-important FALSE START/OFFENSIVE HOLDING combination account for just 33.9% of Cheffers penalties (league avg 38.8%) The combination of DEFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE/DEFENSIVE HOLDING account for ABOVE AVG 22.8% of Cheffers penalties (league avg 13.8%) The back end patrolling the field is two Cheffers regulars w' an addition from Brad Rogers crew. Rogers' crew ranked No.1 for D.P.I in 2024 D.P.I penalties were down significantly in wild card action, so we'll see if that continues on Sunday in this game? The #Ravens are above average penalized for both D.P.I & defensive holding . Baltimore was penalized 4 times for D.P.I in their 30-23 win at #Chargers, a Cheffers officiated contest OFFENSIVE HOLDING was a major issue for Baltimore, particularly on the ROAD. They have improved down the stretch & if form holds, this crew will provide leeway Ravens co-rank No.1 for ROUGHING THE PASSER The narrative is Patrick Mahomes is a major beneficiary of these calls, but Josh Allen has received far more beneficial calls over the course of his career The Cheffers crew co-ranked LAST calling ROUGHING THE PASSER & UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS in 2024 Home PLAYOFF teams have a 64% win percentage in Cheffers offiated games Both QB's are great. That's not breaking news I believe the Ravens have the better overall roster & have improved dramatically, particularly on defense, down the stretch I'll be interested to see how this game is officiated? The Cheffers assignment certainly boosts the home teams chances in this contest I've been pro-@ravens all season, even when they struggled early. Would a #Buffalo win shock me? Not at all. If Josh Allen brings his "A" game, he can carry Buffalo to a W But I'll continue to ride this Ravens train, as I have been throughout the 2024 #NFL season Prediction #BaltimoreRavens 27 - #BuffaloBills 23 #RavensFlock #BillsMafia #NFLPlayoffs

Tre White Traded to Ravens For A 7th
LLCoolCy replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good for Tre to get a shot at a ring. I think we all know the injuries have limited him so it doesn't move the needle as much as what the Ravens were really trying to do. -
Gang the Dolphins are "buyers" per Rosenhause. Grier likely sees his time as GM is nearing an end if no playoffs... might as well sell the future to have a chance to save his job this year.

Diontae Johnson to the Ravens (now claimed by Houston)
LLCoolCy replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Always follow the money.... No doubt Beane getting the Cooper trade done early was clutch as he's the only move the needle WR that Buffalo could fit into the cap. -
Cooper's playing for his next contract either in Buffalo or for the next team and going to want to perform. He has a lot to play for mainly to get the last big bag If Cooper chooses to sign somewhere else for say 20+mill Bills will get a comp pick back 3or4or5th anyway? Really lowers the risk of the trade from a compensation aspect.
-
3rd rounder due to Coopers low salary... there were only a couple of needle movers who Beane could fit into the cap, AC is one of them. Really like the fit as a true X who can now allow Coleman to play the #2 and move inside some and Shakiir to be the main slot. Fit is perfect. I also think Buffalo would get a future Comp pick if they don't resign Amari this year, which could easily end up being a 3.

yep, 4th in line. The longer the Adams saga plays out betters the chance Buff could get involved. All about the money. I did see one trade speculating that Pittsburg would trade Pickens as part of the deal. Total speculation on my part but I wonder if Beane could be the 3rd party in a trade to get Pickens, 2nd to LV via Buff, Adams to Pitt. It would make financial sense for Buffalo to get a low cost young #1WR for a 2nd. Now I have doubts Pickens would fit McD culture but as a player fit it is tempting.
