I agree with other posters i just dont think your going to get much for him due to age and contract. The Bills dont have much of any ammo to trade to get picks.

I dont think it will have to much affect on our odds of winning. Like the other postet said the ravens arent a powerhouse. I think Daboll well be a huge factor. Can he get the most out of Peterman and this offense.

Ill admit i was surprised when we traded Darby. He is a good CB no doubt. Hey remember when we traded them kiko Alonso for Shady McCoy? So who robbed who?

He didnt know what game film was? The problem with all this stuff is every player is different. Guys who have sat have been great...guys who have played right away have been great. There is no answer. And some guys just arent good no matter what. In the end its up the coaching staff to prepare their players and make the call when they should start.

Good post. Completely agree on Clay. Too much money for so little production so far. Shady...i dont think they would but if we are out of contention it would be possible. Shaq Lawson could also be a possibility imo. He needs to have a monster year. Especially for the fact he was not this regime's pick.

I had no problem with the pick...i like Allen. But i certainly understand why fans were and are nervous about Allen. But the common denominator is we all hope he will succeed. If he doesnt...you go back to bat and take another swing.

Where we picked it was obviously Rosen or Allen at that point. What were your thoughts on Rosen going into the draft?

I agree. And i think Mayfield has looked very good. Im just saying the fact that Allen isnt starting the season is really no big deal cuz Rosen and Mayfield arent either. I think Mayfield will actually be the last to start given the situation.

What teams do you think will be worse then the Bills this year? I actually wanted to start a thread about this. Im curious to know what people think.

It would also be nice to know what you have in Allen before next season. Especially if we do have a high pick. If he doesnt play this season next year we re in the same boat wondering what we have. So i hope he gets at least a few starts which i think he will.

Well only one of the four QBs selected is starting and thats Darnold. So the fact that he isnt starting is no big deal. Shouldnt Mayfield your number one overall pick have been able to beat TT who throws for 100 yards a game. Allen did some things very well this preseason. The third game was a joke due to our joke of an o line. I think they are all just jealous cause hes so damn handsome! Or so they tell me.

Fair enough. How do you feel about Allen right now? Do you think he would fair better then NP? Its hard to do sometimes cuz we all love the Bills but there are so many more thinhs to get stressed about nowadays...football should be our release..a time to just enjoy the game...again its easier said then done sometimes.

Im with ya. Football is football. Maybe Peterman plays good...maybe Allen plays a little this year. Im also excited to see Edmunds and Harrison play this year. And what Daboll can do for the offense. Good or bad its football its a game..enjoy as much as you can. I totally understand the disappointment. Im not all that excited NP is our starting QB. I was just saying your reason that NP failing makes a goid storyline was lame. Yeah he threw 5 picks get over people it was one game he was rookie against a very good defense. Was it horrible yes. But its over move on lets see if hes improved. If not you put Allen in.

You want your QB to throw a bunch of picks for the storyline...thats sad.

Im only saying the bills have tanked before and not all that long ago to get a top three talent. It doesnt always change your team if you tank one season and get a top pick is my point unless that pick is a franchise QB that turns your whole franchise around.

Well i do believe it was certainly their plan to bring Allen along slowly. There were things Allen needed time to fix and still does to a degree. Im not sure that is particularly about not about wanting him to start but just being smart about fixing things that need working on. As excited as i may about Allen im also interested to see how Nat does this year. Either way. Very good discussion.

I do agree because it was somewhat close that may have factored in. All im saying is if Allen was by far the better QB he would be starting. A HC cant go into a locker room and basically say "this guy is obviously the better QB but we want to protect for a year..sry guys you are going out there with a scrub" Peterman was just more consistent. And you are right peterman could have looked even worse behind that o line. My point some people talk like this is just all about protecting Allen. Thats obsurd. If he no doubt outplayed peterman he would be starting.

This notion this isnt true. This whole protect Allen thing. If Allen had come out in the third preseason game and lit it up with the starters(yes the o line was ****)...and looked like a starting QB he would be starting. Peterman beat him out its that easy. I would have no problem with Allen starting and maybe he should be but can you honestly say he beat out Peterman for the job? And if Allen couldnt clearly beat out the "worst QB" in the league as you say what does that say about Allen?

Agree with other posters Milano showed some promise last year but we still need to see more. We need for more help in the LB department. Milano hasnt looked great this preseason but ill still take Milano.

Tell us how you really feel. I would like to see Allen it would at least be exciting to see him out there. But peterman did play very well this pre season. Just cause Allen isnt starting doesnt mean we wont see him this year. Lets just hope for good QB play from whoever is out there.
