  1. As we start to roll into Free Agency Lots of discussions going on around the board. Now being past the Bowl games. Has anyone been working out the simulators? Have any been updated?
  2. I think having OBJ could be really interesting. Would need to really figure out if it could be done with our CAP challenges and still fill in the other holes. I like it though. As to Berrios, looking at his price, I think it would be almost a wash as to Beasley's cap savings. Is it worth it?
  3. I am right there with you on a LB. No way unless there is some ungodly trade with Edmunds (ain't happening). Hate to say it, but, with the way the line played the last few games with Bates at LG, I would not be shocked if they re-signed Bates and roll with the rest (not what I would do) and draft a couple later. I am on the CB train in rnd 1. Now, if Metchie or Burks was there,,,,,,, I could change my mind of a WR in the first.๐Ÿ˜‰
  4. Had it not been for the covid opt-out, he be gone. But with the contract IS what it IS and the way it's setup, best option is post June cut for the biggest savings. Probably why they didn't go with a replacement last year. Anyway, sign Phillips as the starter, go into the draft and get a replacement for Star. See if the draftee can handle it, then decide Stars fate. Doubt we will look at a FA. No rush to cut him now.
  5. Most know I am a big McKenzie fan.๐Ÿ˜ Most are talking about speed. He's the fastest/quickest player we have (had) on the roster. He's better in man than Cole (Cole is better in Zone). He's also probably one of the most team first guys we have. Played CB when we needed someone, plays PS qb when needed (kyler, Jackson etc). Very good in motion and jet sweeps. I think he is a player that will do anything you ask if it helps. Great personality and I think he gives a spark/attitude to the team. With that being said, no, I don't think is is a #1 slot guy. Perfect backup and gadget guy and what he gets paid he is well worth his spot. Few thoughts. Is Cole a Cap cut casualty? At 6mill, you could probably sign McKenzie to a 2-3yr deal for just the cap savings. If Cole is gone, are we going to go into the season with only a rookie? Who's available in FA at the cost of Lil' Dirty that's better? McD allows his coaches to make decisions on their own. Maybe it was Daboll who didn't give McKenzie more opportunities on O? Maybe when you have a Cole that your paying good money to, you don't take him off the field? Personally, I think Cole is gone. So, if I had to guess, McKenzie will take another 1 yr deal and we will draft someone. Who, you ask? I am on the fence with a couple, but like Skyy Moore (2-3rd rnd). If we do go with an FA, I'm leaning towards Byron Pringle.
  6. So we have 18 FA's and 8 draft picks. That leaves us with 10 spots to fill (not including cuts for cap). Which of our own are we going to keep/sign?
  7. I agree. My only concern is if they cut Beasley for cap reason and lose McKenzie as well, they may want some experience just in case. Plus we will need a returner as I don't think Stevenson is the answer there either. Now, if we keep either one, definitely Draft a slot wr and I think they will either way.
  8. I have no issue with you repeating your stance. And I admire your dedication. I actually enjoy (ed) the back and forth and said this to you yesterday. My only issue on your crusade is you are taking over a thread that was started about FA wr's. As to the last part, Normally I would ignore it, but really? Yup real mature. But you dou you.๐Ÿ‘
  9. WTH.... This AGAIN!!? It's like Groundhog day...๐Ÿคฌ. Take it back over to the 25th pick thread or start your own thread. Jeepers.
  10. And this is why I tagged you!!!๐Ÿค— I will never be able to keep up with you, So I'll keep it more on my level.๐Ÿ˜‚ So say 25 mil. 3-5 mil for the draft 3-5 emergency fund 18 FA's 8 draft picks So approximately 15 mill to fill 10 spots.๐Ÿค”
  11. Thanks. How many player cuts to get there?
  12. This. Plus we have what 16-18 FA' of our own we need to figure out first. Plus trying to keep with the thread topic.๐Ÿค” I'm glad Coloradobills peaked in. I always look for his CAP threads (my local capologist.๐Ÿ˜‰). @coloradobills. How we looking there boss? Restructure, our own FA signings and draft. What's left in the bank account?๐Ÿ˜‚
  13. I think we are or could be. But with being tight on the CAP, I don't think we will be any kind of big players in FA this year. Outside of signing some of our own, I can only see 3 or 4 mid to lower level FA signings to fill in gaps.
  14. What about Byron Pringle? Can return kicks as well. It's not like we are looking for a wr1 or wr2.
  15. I guess in a round about way, yes. That ONE GAME. We can go 18 (19)&0 but if we cant stop or get past the Chiefs in the playoffs, what's it matter? I just don't think scoring 50 points is a realistic way to do it. Although I love the conversation and back and forth, I think we are at a point of agree to disagree. I'm not really here to argue opinions. We all have them and there is no way to really win an opinion based disagreement. As my ex would tell you, I'm stubborn and hard headed. ๐Ÿ˜. I will agree with you on Josh though and he does deserve every weapon and tool available for him to win (after a CB in rnd 1).๐Ÿ˜‰
  16. You kind of made my case.๐Ÿ‘ "No punts"! How much more offense do we need? Would another #1 receiver won any of the last 5 games? Or would a top corner have helped more against the Chiefs? Our D IS good enough when our talent is there. (Tre). No Tre, no win. Hence forth why I want a top corner in the draft. He won't be there to start the season and Levi or Jackson are not DB1's. And Levi probably won't be back either. Just to be clear and I believe I have said it in other posts. I am ALL for an offensive driven draft after getting a CB. I'd be happy running the rest of the D back again next year.
  17. I don't think it's realistic to expect 30+ points a game in order to win. I think it more realistic to hold a team under 30. We scored on every posession against the Pats and 36 points against the Chiefs. Should have been MORE than enough. Offense wasn't an issue in my opinion. But I can see you are more offensive minded and I am more defensive minded. All good. I'll stick with my 25th pick at CB.๐Ÿ˜‰
  18. We beat them earlier with Tre and held them to 20 (albeit their O wasn't firing on all cylinders). Our D would have been good enough with Tre or a top CB. Keep them under 30, we win. I honestly think we were a Tre away from winning that game.๐Ÿ˜‰. I definitely will not argue against the dumb plays towards the end (pure stupidity in my opinion). I have ALWAYS hated a prevent defense (prevent from winning is what I call it).
  19. But we gave up 42 points. Do you think if Tre was there or we had a top corner, maybe Milano wouldn't have been trying to cover Kelce? Or a top corner could have stopped Hill on his TD? Or just one more stop in the game? I think 36 points is more than enough to win. Do we really think having another weapon would have yielded more points? I think the key is keeping them under 30, not scoring more than 36. But that's just my opinion.
  20. Yeah, I see it 7 drops in his college career?? I think I dropped my phone more times since yesterday than he has passes in his career.๐Ÿคฃ
  21. I've started reading more info on Skye Moore. From what I've read so far, I kind of like this kid. I don't watch college ball. Anyone seen this young man play? Thoughts? 2nd rnd? https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Skyy-Moore-WR-WesternMichigan
  22. Interesting thoughts. I wouldn't be for the entire first round or even non-playoff teams, but maybe top 10 could be Interesting seeing I don't see us picking in the top 10 anytime soon.๐Ÿ˜
  23. After letting GB's mock marinade, revisiting the thread and comments (many times), I just can't get on board with Williams at 25. ( I really tried...) Many keep saying we have the luxury of time to wait for him, but many are not looking at do we have time to wait for Tre to return. I believe we currently have Jackson, Johnson and Lewis as our starting CB group. None are #1 or 1b corners( and not confident in a #2). We didn't lose because of the O. I don't think we had anyone to cover (and BS defensive play calls at the end). So, before I get beat up on "drafting for need", I think the value is there as well ((opinion). Using GB's draft, Mccreary, Elam and Mcduffie are still available. Each show as a mid-late 1st rnd, early 2nd by a couple. Definitely not available by our 2nd pick. Plenty of fast WR's after the 1st rnd and to use a 1st on Williams as a 3rd or 4th (when he's back) I just can't seem to put a higher value on Williams than a CB based upon the CURRENT team state. And then when Tre returns you have a 1a, 1b and Johnson. That's a VERY good group of CB'S. We get pressure from the Dline, but give them an extra 1/4 to 1/2 second and I think they'll get home more often. Don't get me wrong, If Tre was going to start the season or we had a CB that could really fill his shoes, I could get on board with Williams, just can't right now. OK, I'm ready for my beating now (I think).๐Ÿ˜
  24. I wouldn't hate drafting him but, I think they'll re-sign Harry. If Star doesn't retire, I don't see us drafting a DT1 early. Maybe a late rounder. Unfortunately, I just don't see us drafting a DT1 on day 2.
  25. I feel much better at this point than I did last year. We got our butts handed to us last year, had a bunch of FA's and what seemed to be a bunch of holes. I really think if we had Tre White we would have beat the Chiefs. Or maybe a better couple of defensive play calls at the end of regulation. Could we use improvement, sure. But, OL came together. Sign Bates and We are pretty good in my opinion. Dawkins, Bates, Morse, Williams and Brown. Backups of Feliciano (G/C), Doyle (swing T) Ford (G) and draft a couple late or FA's. Draft a RB 4-5th rnd, WR and TE 2-3rd. CB 1st rnd. Keep Addison or Hughes for 1 more year, re-sign Obada or see if we can add Shaq on a team friendly deal. Re- sign Phillips.Add depth 6 and 7th rnd. Oh, and sign a new punter. ๐Ÿ˜‰
