In both cases I think its more to do with the our OC and NFL season length. They don't want to wear them out. With Singletary he's basically the only one we had to rely on with experience. Same as last year, slow start and came on strong near the end. As to Cook, NFL is way more physical and what 4+ games longer. 7-8 games in the NFL is probably the same as the entire college season on a RB'S body. Ramping Cook up is probably a really good thing. My guess is his usage will increase from here. Especially now with Moss out of the way. At least I hope so.🙏

Interesting. Was just looking at it from a return of Brown at RT, Dorsey more than likely to call a more balanced game (less deep shots). A little more of a run blocking scheme over pass blocking. Possibly increased role for Cook, Shakir and even possibly Hines. Maybe a few more Gadget plays for McKenzie. Maybe Keenum and Dorsey won't focus mainly on Diggs and Davis and looks to utilize all of our talent.

Practice is not real. Josh is a baller and I think he will push to play. That's why I think he'll start. The question will be if our OL can protect him and can he stay in the pocket and not be at risk of taking hits. If the OL can hold up, he may play longer (maybe even the entire game), if not, pull him and not risk it. Just weird with the week to week, day to day and hour to hour talk. Maybe he plays and hands the ball off every time. They are playing games and giving him the start and then sitting him could also play into the next couple of games. As I said, in a strange way, I think he plays. How much, who knows.

I think this game will definitely be the real test for Dorsey. Will he get Knox, McKenzie, Shakir more involved? Does he have the skill set to switch/call more of a run first gameplan ? Will be an interesting game.

Terrel Bernard was absolutely abused yesterday
LyndonvilleBill replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure I can entirely agree, but won't agressivly argue about it either. I looked at the RAS scores for each. Bernard shows considerably better as compared to Milano. I do agree about where he was drafted, but as I previously stated, we tried to trade back. I'd reserve a little judgment as it relates to Bernard at least until he gets a year or two with an NFL S&C coach and see what he looks like next year. I also saw this write up. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2022/04/bills-terrel-bernard-a-tackling-machine-had-sugar-bowl-performance-for-the-ages-4-things-to-know.html%3foutputType=amp -
I told him not to drop the soap!

Terrel Bernard was absolutely abused yesterday
LyndonvilleBill replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
? Bernard is bigger and faster than Milano was? And if memory serves me right (I'm old, so I could be wrong) Beane was trying to trade back but couldn't find a partner to do so... I wasn't excited by the pick at the time either, but,it is what it is. Moss, totally agree with. Not even close to what I was hoping he would be. -
Although I don't disagree, I also don't agree. And I keep going round and round with this as well. When I look at it from one side, I can almost understand the thoughts. We had Dawkins and Morse, no changes to be made there. Brown was expected to improve (totally understandable), Bates played well and deserved his place (albeit, I wanted him at LG). So the only spot that was being looked at to upgrade was one Guard and depth. Saffold I believe was one of the best guards available in FA. I get it. So from all this, I can see why OL wasn't prioritized during the draft and I don't think anyone we would have drafted from rnd 3 (89) and later would have been any better than what we currently have. As to the draft, I think it was a good one for Beane. We needed at least 2 CB'S. One to replace Wallace and a top corner with Tre's injury (check), needed a punter ( check, bad luck?), a WR (check), a RB with some speed and receiving ability (check, needs to be used more). Then Beane took a some late swings, Tenuta(OL), Spector (LB) and then there was Bernard. Bernard was a headscratcher to me as well, but, with Milano getting dinged up occasionally, I can almost see why Beane made the pick. So with all that being said, who would you have taken at 89 or later that would have improved our OL over what we have?

Yup. Watch the tape. WWMD ( What Would MCDERMOTT Do). 🤔 😄

I wouldn't do any major changes. I would be on the phone with Darryl Williams and Ereck Flowers agents though. I'd also force the quick passing game on Dorsey and Josh. Shorter routes like against the Rams. Take some pressure off the line. I wasn't really on-board with OBJ, but with the way Davis and Knox have been and limited use of Shakir, I'm definitely coming around to trying to bring him on. Defense I think we are fine. Just need to get a couple guys back healthy and on the field. No changes other than maybe a little less nickel at times.

On to Minnesota (get this game in the rear view mirror!)
LyndonvilleBill replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
If drops and inconsistent play were the issue, why does Josh keep throwing to Davis? Lil' Dirty has 2 drops. No he's not Beasley, but he's the best we have in the slot at the moment. IMO, it's either Josh not wanting to take the short passes or Dorsey's play calls being too aggressive. I'd refer you to @Beck Water's post in the WR thread. I think the chart he posted is a good example of facts vs opinion. -
The Bills lost yesterday because.... (karma reasons only)

It was my fault. I posted in the predict the score thread. Won't happen again. 😥 -
Blue Jersey's, White Pants for Vikings.
LyndonvilleBill replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe we should wear White Jerseys. Josh has been pretty good completing to them the last couple of games.🤣 -
🤬😉🤣 OK, if you insist.

What was your offer? I want to make sure mine is a little more.😁

His net worth is more than than Snyders. Would be around the same as Lurie from the Eagles at 19 out of 32 owners(GB is weird). It was sarcasm anyway.🙄 Oh, BTW, what is Davis' net worth with the Raiders? 500m. LOL.
