Iβm kind of Over the Hines Experiment
LyndonvilleBill replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think he is an experiment. I think he is being used exactly how they planned. Took McKenzie and Shakir off KR/PR duties so they could focus on playing WR. Backup RB and available if needed. Gets a few plays on O and can also backup McKenzie on some of the gadget plays. Could also be a chess piece when it comes to negotiating with Motor.π€. Maybe I'm just more of a Glass Half Full kind of guy.π -

Hope Josh has been practicing his PB&J Dance. Would love to see some choreography with them both.π€£ -

My thoughts on this is fairly simple. We could score points, but we couldn't slow down the Chiefs. Need pressure from front 4. Problem I see with this is, we are overly focused on beating the Chiefs and may be losing focus on our own division. I am hopeful as well that offense is the main focus after this season.

I agree on the coaching. When the season started, I thought Dorsey was on target. Quick passing, shorter routes and putting players in position to succeed. Take the pressure off from an average at best OL. Last several games, he seems to be looking at it from a QB perspective. Looking for the big play, deeper routes and trying for the splash play and QB stats and not team stats. Dorsey needs to be a coach, not thinking what he would want as a QB. It's about players (plural) not just Josh.

Would Cole Beasley come back to Buffalo?
LyndonvilleBill replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thinks there's a multitude of reasons. We know the Bills tend to bring rookies on slowly and with the vets of Crowder early on and McKenzie, he wasn't getting time to build the trust with Josh and as I said in other posts a 47% catch rate doesn't help. With McKenzie not being great against zone, I would have expected more snaps for Shakir and I do expect more going forward. He's still got time to learn and find ways to get seperation, but he's got to catch it when he IS targeted. I think tonight will be a good time for him to show what he's learned and what he can do. -

And he is doing that. But when you have 5+ years of data and averages, you can't really expect a LOT more than what he's alrready shown. If you expected 80+ catches and 800-1,000 yards, your expectations are way off. -
Really had to think this week. Obviously my original thought was my man Lil Dirty, but I read somewhere that the Pat's have been playing more Zone lately and BB is not going to let him terrorize him like last seasonπ. So I thought maybe Shakir, but with a 47% catch rate, don't think the trust is there yet with Josh. Plus too big of a game. I'm going with Motor on offense. Whether it's helping block to keep JA clean or some dump offs, I think it will be his play that will have the biggest impact. Honorable mention to John Brown if he plays (and still has his speed). I think some go routes can pull the safeties out of the middle and open it up for others and Motor could have extra space to work in. On D, I'll go with Tre. Think Pat's will try and test him and will regret it. 2 picks and and it shows why patience is a virtue. π. Go Bills!!!

Would Cole Beasley come back to Buffalo?
LyndonvilleBill replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think people are dissing McKenzie because of incorrect expectations. When I look at his stats for the season, he is actually around his averages or above in most cases since being here. Reality is, he is not Beasley and won't be. If the coaches thought he would be, they wouldn't have drafted Shakir or brought in Crowder. Team knows what they have. McKenzie is a Man match up wr and not a zone wr. His best plays are on the move, not sitting down in a zone. Hopefully we will see him go off again tonight. π -

Jerry Hughes looks mad in Houston

Wouldn't hate it, but I think he's done. Now, if we were going to pull someone out of "retirement", I'd go with D. Williams. π -

Khalil Shakir's pic on a milk carton
LyndonvilleBill replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. I put it in one of my other posts that I wish I had the all 22 to look at to see. I am all for Shakir and rooting for him to be successful. But with a 47% catch rate and 0 targets in the last 2 games? I can see why this thread was started. -

And you won't get targets if your not getting open.
