I had to give up my "fun" job this past summer working at a liquor store on my days off from the hospital once we had a little one, and give up picking up extra shifts with incentive bonuses at the hospital since we a so short-staffed. I had been working there for about 7 years when I was finishing up school, and it was a nice change of pace from working under the stressors of healthcare. We both have excellent jobs in healthcare and my fiance actually makes about 20% more than me, so when our little one was born last February, we used up our vacations and PFL time, and had a "tough" discussion about the necessity of my "fun" job or not picking up extra shifts at the hospital because we did not want to put her into daycare over it, which led to me giving it up. I definitely miss it, miss my coworkers, miss the customers, miss the discounts (I had a hell of a bourbon collection because the staff got first dibs lol), but there is a balance now albeit with a smaller paycheck, I switched to working 3-12's (more like 14's) two being on the weekends and 1-night shift a week while the Mrs' works outpatient 8-4 pm Mon-Fri. With this schedule we typically do not have days off together, so we make the most of our time together before/after work each day.

Nope, don't be an a-hole. If someone behind me wants to let them in fine, but not me. There was a long light at a hoity-toity town in the Rochester and someone coming in the other direction with their $80k SUV was in our turning lane wanting to turn into an establishment between the car Infront of me and myself blocking everyone that needed to use our turning lane from doing so, including me. On top of that a black BMW tried to the same thing right behind them. They did so in such an a-hole way that I pulled right up to the car infront of me, and the SUV was trying to inch their way in between us and I inched my Chevy POS up and blocked them off and we sat like that through a 3-4 minute red light, until we got the green.

I try to keep my car looking nice-ish, so I end up putting a couple layers of wax on my car starting in the fall, prepping for the winter salt, so sometimes on a "warm" days in the winter, I will wash the salt off my car but if the lines at the car wash are too long, I just hand wash my car at home with dawn dish soap thinking that if it's safe for ducks its safe for my car and wont take off the wax...I guess not lol

Say what you want but Brady would never have signed for 40-45 million a year like Josh did. I'm not saying Josh is greedy by any means, but one of the reasons beyond Tom and Bill that made the Patriots so good was that he was signing contracts that were half the price of the other top flight QB's so that they could consistently field very good teams and win championships. Here we are looking at the salary cap and Josh's hefty price tag wondering were we can find some money to sign players.
