  1. John Clayton was on the air here. The best the Bills can hope for is a conditional 5th according to the experts and other former GMs. He doesn't have the value most of you think. Being the tallest little person at the circus doesn't increase his real-world value. Just keep him at this point to help develop Allen. Howie Roseman isn't a sucker. He's normally the one doing the fleecing.
  2. The guy is awful. Failed at both tackle positions. This would be one of those rare occasions with this team where we'd witness subtraction by addition if acquired.
  3. I agree with you 100%, that is why I never was in sell the farm mode to move up. We could have had the foundational building blocks to help put a young QB in a much better position. This team always seems to be in reactionary mode, never being proactive, or paving their own path. Maybe in 3-5 years, they'll realize the game has been rigged to be a passing league, but by then who knows where the focus will be? In one aspect I feel bad for this new leadership group because they're paying for the sins of their fathers, but in this NFL teams are turning it around in 1-2 seasons with good coaching and leadership from above. So after this year, they'll have no excuses.
  4. When we're four games and looking to dumpster dive, that sums up the life of a bills fan for the past 18 years. I firmly believe a contingent of intelligent fans that would partake in a democratic process of player selection and scouting would have done a far superior job than the revolving door of sub-par upper management that's gone through here. Too bad the Bills aren't like the Packers, we could have orchestrated a coup and set this team on track, or the very least improved the draft hit rate.
  5. I was out of town when Owens was with the Bills. I know he was injured during his year here, why did they not sign him past his one year? I always liked him. Even with his antics here in Philadelphia. Someone needed to call out McNabb and his passive aggressive ways. The guy was clean off the field, a little eccentric yes, but that's why the coaches and front office people are paid big $, to make the puzzle pieces fit. I thought he was going to be a good addition for the team and bring some national attention to the Bills.
  6. He covered him by default. Just because he was the #1 on the Bills, doesn't mean he was anywhere else. Stevie came up real small in some big spots.
  7. 0-3. Did little to nothing to capitalize on his opportunities. Probably a good smart kid, just not physically gifted enough to be in the league. No shame in that.
  8. He does have that Julian Edelman look. Would follow his footsteps nicely in being a former QB in that slot role. Franklin choked that game away last night. He's an awful 4th quarter big game decision maker, chicken choker. I feel bad for that kid, he did everything he could to win that game.
  9. They can wish all they want for a package like that. Every week he doesn't play his value get less and less.
  10. Is Dez any better than KB at this point? I see them as the same type of WR at this point, big and physical (KB's former rep), but not adept and totally lacking in the other areas of being a complete WR.
  11. Moulds. Sad to say it, 16-18 years void of a true #1 is sad. Other guys had borderline talent of a #1 but didn't do what Moulds could for other players in the offense. I remember him as being T.O. light for a couple of years. To me, a true #1 is elite in a couple of different traits/characteristics of the position. I see a bunch of guys good at one aspect of being a WR, but somewhat one dimensional. Sad that they gave up two 1st round picks on Sammy. So stupid to copy the Falcons and not have a Ryan to get him the ball. Sammy was good, but 2/3s of a season doesn't warrant status as a true #1. Not a one hit wonder. A true #1 will produce even though the D knows the ball is coming his way and have game planned for him.
  12. ? Cory Clement isn't chopped liver. I forgot about Bennett. Certainly, some duds there. Not PSU bad though. Have you seen Taylor play? I'd say he's the best of the bunch that will have come from Madison. Also, my guess is Wisconsin has at least two guys on that line that would push for playing time on this roster NOW. My comment was said in jest. Highlighting you could have 3-5 future impact players for what Bell would cost for maybe two elite years. I'd also like one of the Watt siblings, but our luck would be that we get the Casy Matthews version. "Taylor set a major college record for a freshman with 1,977 yards last year, finishing sixth in the Heisman voting."
  13. Sure! That's really a good idea. Seeing how no other team has given a RB quarterback money. ? Tackles and top tier DEs are where you want to spend your money. The Bills have paid McCoy top RB money the past couple of years, it's not worth it.
  14. And two years older when he suits up for his new team. Football while not fair pays for future production, not past. Baseball and basketball teams dig themselves in deep holes with unproductive players/dead weight. He's getting really bad advice from his representation. He will not be able recoup the money he's losing this year, even if he signs a top line deal in 2019. My Bills wish list: Draft Wisconsin linemen and their RB. We'll be saying Le'Veon who?
  15. He had a good year, but I think 200 yards most games is a stretch. He's not worth it on multiple fronts.
  16. And to think multiple mouth breathers here think McCoy could garner anything higher than a 6th rd pick at this point. Why would any team give up such an asset to have the privilege to pay a guy 15-16 million per year? RB is a commodity position, for 1/5 the price you can get 90% the production.
  17. Reminds me of what that coach on Last Chance U said quite simply, "it's not the x's or o's, it's the Jimmy's and the Joe's". I'll give the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt after last year. The Bills are at a decided disadvantage every week with the amount of dead money this year. Now they have to develop the talent to extend because FAgency isn't the answer to building a quality roster.
  18. I think the earlier mention of Mark Sanchez wasn't a bad one. He's taken on the mentor role well in the past couple of years and is not a threat to Allen. He's a professional and I think could really help with Allen's development. He's an interception machine due to arm strength, but he's proven to be serviceable. Another mention I thought was interesting was Griffen. I'm game for kicking the tires on anyone now. Who in the QB room is going to make him better in the mental and preparation side of the business? Rex Grossman embraced this with the Redskins, got a couple more years in the league and helped with Cousins.
  19. Sorry. I can't help stupid.
  20. Got it. Do they also automatically assume responsibility for his 6.1 base in 2019 as well?
  21. Do any of you know what his cap hit is for this year? Over 11 million. He's the 5th highest paid RB (when Bell reports) after the recent deals. Only a hand full of teams have the cap space. I think Lynch recently fetched a 5 round pick? I can't recall any other recent RB trades. The Raiders were ridiculed for being stupid then and that was with a 4.5 million salary for him. What did the Bills get for Lynch when he was a young guy, a 4th? The Bills messed up giving McCoy an extension when it wasn't needed. His cap hit is 9 million next year, too. They screwed up and as always we pay the price. 50-60 million in dead money over two years is inexcusable. I'd bee thrilled to get a bag of balls for him at this point. Anything more and we hit the jackpot.
  22. Name the charity. $50 You've been stuck in western NY too long. The quality of sports journalism in other parts of the country allows the fans in those areas to look at facts and not be subjective and have opinions that are uniformed and baseless. Another front office like the Browns isn't going to bail this group of executives out.
  23. Did you even read the summary? It's all stuff that's been documented by the Philadelphia Inquirer and other "legitimate" publications. Guy's a known cancer and a d!ck. Take off your blinders. How about this: http://www2.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/lesean-mccoy-buffalo-bills-allegations-philadelphia-eagles-marcus-hayes-20180711.html https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2016/02/list_of_lesean_mccoys_off-field_incidents_grows_amid_philadelphia_police_investi.html Do you see a pattern here? I wanted no part of him in a Bills uniform. Having contacts in the media, going back to his rookie season people have been cleaning up his messes for a while.
  24. For the individuals with their heads in the sand, this is what the rest of the NFL front offices know about this guy: https://www.crossingbroad.com/2018/07/a-look-back-at-lesean-mccoys-off-field-issues.html He's always around some bad things going on. ****Newsflash for you eternal optimists, he's worth NOTHING on the trade market! I'm starting to question the football intelligence of the fan base.
  25. Google is your friend. Living in Philadelphia it's well known he's a creep.
