Why are you still watching, if everything but a Super Bowl win is pain?

For those wondering, I do recall talk some awhile back about some kind of rule where if divisional rivals meet in the playoffs, the division winner would have to go to the Wild Card if that Wild Card did better against the division winner, or something like that. But nothing ever came from those talks.

Ravens beat the Dolphins and we win out, Baltimore will have the #1 seed by virtue of better record. Buffalo will at worst be tied with *just* KC, giving us the tie-breaker due to head-to-head. The AFC South champ will be at least one game back of us. So, yeah, we almost control our own destiny to the #2 seed. We win out and the Ravens beat the Dolphins, #2 is ours.

Just...wow. If Baltimore beats Miami, KC loses one of their last three games, and Buffalo wins out, they would be the #2 seed! 🤯

Why not both? Specifically, why not both coordinators? Our D Coordinator was a known commodity and had to go. He didn't even alter the game plan that got them lit up on the opening drive against Cincy in the regular season. On the other side, a lot of people weren't happy with Dorsey. But the common thought was, it was his first season. So he kinda got a pass, where Frazier did not. Sadly, given more time, he did not improve, so he had to go too.

I wanted him gone a week earlier. The Bills were coming off a long week and playing Denver at home. Would have been the perfect time to ease Brady in. Instead, they blow that game and Joe has to prep against the Jets D on a short week.

Strange as it sounds, BUF could actually take the #2 seed in the AFC. They can't pass BAL, as BAL would have the better win % in shared games. However, if MIA drops one of their next two and we win out, we take the East. From there KC, JAX, IND and HOU all need to lose one. That puts us in a tie with KC alone (and we have the head-to-head), while putting us a game ahead of JAX/IND/HOU. If all that happens, BUF becomes the #2 seed in the AFC.

Buffalo can beat anyone. It's consistancy that is a problem. If we bring our 'A' game we can win, or even rout them, even if Dallas brings theirs. That's the question though. Will we get an 'A' game out of Buffalo?

The Dolphins are finesse, and they are losing a war of attrition each week as a result. The Jets need to play physical, smashmouth football and grind what's left of the 'Fins into the turf. Even if Miami wins, they're be in even rougher shape for the rest of the games.

Cook, if they stay with him. The stupid stubborness of watching him tear it up only to stop giving him the ball has to stop.

Too many people jumped the gun and demaned he be fired into the sun immediately as, to them, it was obvious he was a monster before the matter was even looked into. It was so bad anyone who even so much as hinted they should look into it before getting rid of him was a horrible person for defending a monster such as him. The Bills had no choice, people were going to burn the stadium down if they didn't immediately fire him. And a ton of people got a valuable lesson on the dangers of The Court of Public Opinion.

5-yard penalty, loss of down. The O should suffer some negative consequence for fumbling. If you're on the 1, and get reckless, you shouldn't get it back at the 1.

Well, I meant ironic as in the full three game swing. We could be a game back, tied, or a game ahead, and it would all still come down to that game. The result of us winning the first one, and them having the better division record.

Yeah, I'm more focused on the division now. We just need to gain one more game. The real irony is...Miami could lose their next three games and still win the East if they beat us Week 18.

Yeah. I remember getting called a monster for suggesting we see if there is any validity there before cutting him.

Nope, as beating us in that scenario gives them the better division record.

Daboll, McD, which coach was/is the problem? To use a cliche phrase...why not both? 🤷‍♂️

Oh, *hell* no. Divisional games are very important. One (home or away) should not be played overseas. That and congrats, the Bills and Dolphins would then both be screwed for Week 2. A divisional game overseas is a terrible idea. A Week 1 game overseas is a terrible idea. And here we have both. Money grubbing punks running the league with zero regard for the integrity of the game.

If convicted, would that void his contract?

Ugh. I'm kinda at a loss for words, and that rarely happens. With the poor officiating and suspected bias, coupled with this, it's just like it's more spectacle then sport at this point. I'm losing interest. I haven't been watching as many games (just checking updates), and not really regretting that.

That's actually setup by an algorithm. We play the AFC West every three years, alternating home/away. In 2026 KC is coming here. In 2029, we're going there. That's already set in stone. Every season we play against the two teams that finished in the same spot we did, in the AFC divisions we don't play, and home/away alternate every two years. That's why we got JAX and CIN this season. We got hit with the perfect storm. In 2020 we played the AFC West and hosted KC. For the 2021 and 2022 seasons both Buffalo and KC finished in first place the prior season and so played each other again. This, unfortunately, lined up with the "at the AFC West's stadium" two-year cycle. And then, since we hosted KC in 2020, they got us this season. That's how we ended up going there three straight years. This time if we finish in the same place as KC they'll have to come up here next season. Ironically, this may be the first season we don't finish in the same spot.

I think part of it for me is that while officiating has been bad for awhile, this season seems quite a bit worse then last season. And I don't neccisarily think it's a case of this team or that team overall, but how the league wants things to play out week to week based on trends, ratings and gambling lines. I'm not saying I know something for certain. Just saying things don't look right this season, all around.

Again, let me be clear... I am not just talking about the Bills/Eagles games, or just the Bills. I am referring to bad officiating all over, all season. The Bills were even on the receiving end vs. the Giants this season. That was a blatent penalty in the end zone, and other teams have been screwed over by the refs as well. The horse-collar turned into intentional grounding favored the Bills? 🤔
