We knew this year was going to be a rebuilding year. Hell, Allen was supposed to ride the pine all year. I don't know how you can look at the Bills' defense lately, and the performance Allen just had, and not be encouraged for next season. Just need to upgrade the o-line and get this kid some weapons!

MMQB: Who Is the Most Boring Team in the NFL?
The Red King replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills have a solid, explosive defense. On the other side of the ball you have Allen hurdling players. Good...bad...that wasn't the question. They're not boring to watch, at least. Raiders are a tire fire with Gruden...entertaining. Browns were boring until the coaching change. Cards...I mean there's the difference. Regardless of record, Josh Allen is electric and fun to watch. His name's getting thrown around and he's getting talked about. ...how mamy headlines is Rosen making? So yeah, I think I could say the Cards are the most boring (right) now. -
Bills in White on White Throwbacks Again in Miami

Makes sense. And yeah, been trying to purge that game from my mind for awhile now, to no avail. ? -
Bills in White on White Throwbacks Again in Miami
The Red King replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't the Bills lose @ NE during a Week 1 MNF game the season after Brady got hurt? If I recall, both teams were in throwbacks, Pats in red, Bills in white? I think? -
Wrong Josh > Right Josh/Taylor
The Red King replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like numbers. Let's see...how many points did Tyrod put up against JAX in the playoff game? And how many did Allen put up on them today? -
No. You have to realize the people who cried to the heavens that Allen is already a bust are dug in. No matter how good Allen plays, there will be something to critisize because they certainly aren't going to admit they might be *gasp* wrong! Hell, Allen could run the table and win the Super Bowl, and these guys will just state that other QBs could have done it better, it was all the D, and he's still awful.

Nice to see the Bills put this guy over the edge...

Out of all this...I really hope they fix the pipe. Likely the only thing they can fix at this point... -
You finish the game. Even if you finish it on the bench, you finish the game then retire. If he did that, then retired citing decline in ability, people here would have been fine. Hell, we all saw the decline in performance. It was the whole "can't be bothered to even finish the game" that was a slap in the face. Side note...not everyone agrees with what Bell did, either. You sign a contract, you play the damn contract. That it's somehow possible to avoid playing a contract you signed baffles me.

There is no way we will beat the Jaguars
The Red King replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...because some people want to turn every thread into a 'Bash Allen' thread. Sad but true. If we start Barkley, the entire Patriots roster will come down with scurvy, world hunger will be solved and the common cold will be cured. If Allen starts a gate to the underworld will open at midfield, there will be a pox upon the land and every firstborn child will suffer a crippling injury. Listen to some people here the game will be 100-0. Which team gets 100 depends on which QB starts. ? -
As I said before, the people who are clamoring for Barkly to start are people who have already declared Allen is a bust. They want to see if Barkly can be our starter, or if we'll have to draft another QB. To them any more time given to Allen is a waste. Don't believe me? Go re-read the thread and you'll see it time and again.
-
You have to read between the lines with posts like this. Most of the people saying start Barkly are also people that have already decided Allen is a bust. In their eyes starting Allen is pointless because he will never be our future QB. And since he won't be, in their eyes it's about evaluating Barkly to see if he'll be our starter, or if we'll need to draft another QB. Arguments about developing and/or evaluating Allen fall on deaf ears because they've already written him off. That's why you have threads like this.

Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?
The Red King replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shh. I already tried questioning them about that. They've decided Tyrod never played this year, and instead insist Tyrod this year would perform just like he did in 2017. I mean, who needs hard data from this year when you have wild speculation from last? ? -
Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?
The Red King replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ah, assumptions. If ya ain't for us, yer 'gainst us! Check my post history. I actually started a forum post titled The Bills did not back into the playoffs. I repeatedly stated Tyrod was a mediocre QB, capable of elevating a bad team and dragging down a good one. When traded I said it was a good move for both teams and said he was just what they needed until Mayfield was ready. I said the Bills outgrew him, I never said any other QB would be an improvement. So, basically, all your assumptions are wrong, and the proof is right here on the board. I understand, it's easier to write someone off as a hater, that way you don't have to address their points. In this case, Tyrod's tenure as Cleveland starter. You persist in handwaving that off like it never happened, ignoring it, insisting he would have played like the 2017 Bills Taylor, instead of the 2018 Browns TT. -
Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?
The Red King replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did...you actually *read* the question? Because none of the above addresses it. But, the fact that you realize you have to keep ducking the question because you know you can't answer it speaks volumes. The thread doesn't ask if Tyrod is better then the Bills QBs. It asks if he would make them a playoff team. So, one more time... Do you think the Bills are a playoff team if Tyrod puts up the numbers he did in Cleveland? And if not, what makes you think he would put up better numbers with the 2018 Bills offense then he did with Cleveland's?
