  1. That's easy. He's lifting weights in a red room. Bills fans have had to 'wait' for a Super Bowl appearence since the days of the 'red' helmets! It's all there, plain as day! 😁
  2. Supply and demand. I think it's fair to say the Bills pass rush is a massive weakness, maybe the biggest missing piece to a ring. We may have to overpay for Watt, but at this point what other options do the Bills have for making an upgrade to the pass rush of the required magnitude for this upcoming season? I don't want to see an otherwise championship-calibur team ripped apart by the likes of Brady and Mahomes next season.
  3. I've found life more serene by making one change in my life. If I'm not sure if something is serious or said in jest I simply assume jest. If it was a joke, well, I got it right. And if it wasn't, and someone was being mean, well, I found treating it like they were joking tends to ruffle their feathers. Win-win. 😁
  4. The Bills' pass rush has been a fatal flaw and I hate to say that we can upgrade any other parts of the team we want, but if we can't put consistant, if not heavy, pressure on elite QBs like Mahomes and Brady (both of which we face next season), they will shred us. I may be wrong, but I don't see us making it any further then the Championship Game without an upgraded pass rush. As such, I am praying we get Watt. Yes, he's a risk, but if that risk pays off it could push the Bills over the threshold. We may have to over pay depending on what he has left in the tank, but if he can help eliminate a glaring weakness, I'm for it. I'd love to see a more aggressive D this season, instead of the passive "bend but don't break" damage-mitigating D we had last season.
  5. I think I heard this same argument made when the Diggs trade was rumored... 🤔
  6. Completely outclassed, all sides of the ball, personell and coaching. Was a fun run, but they played scared. Not good enough. We needed the go for the throat Week 17 Bills.
  7. Someone find McD some stones, stat. This ain't gonna work. Time's a tickin'.
  8. Nerves. Remember Mahomes and KC the first half of their first Championship game. They regrouped, caught up and took the Pats to OT.
  9. Can't stop a running nose at this point. Nickname our 'D' The Red Carpet. They are getting humiliated.
  10. I was just mulling how improbable this was. Both Championship games are rematches of earlier games this season against non-divisional opponents. That alone is rare enough. But for both games to be rematches of games from the same week (six), well, the odds of that are staggering. Serious Twilight Zone vibes, really. 🤔
  11. He's not even close to 100%. Buffalo needs to send the heat early and often and knock him around like a pinball. Force him to move on that toe, and think fast with that concussion. I'm not sure he can do either well right now.
  12. Even a stopped clock... Stopped...oh crap, I overslept! 😁
  13. I prefer getting the second half kickoff. * If you are winning, you can extend the lead * If you are tied you can take the lead * If you are losing, you get an immediate chance to close the gap If you kick off in the second half you have to immediately... * If you are winning, you have to try and keep your opponent from coming back * If you are tied, you have to try and keep them from gaining the lead * If you are losing, you have to try and stop them from making the deficit even worse
  14. Steelers created their nightmare. They could have ended a divisional rival's playoff chances last week. They *knew* they could face them again and decided that wouldn't be an issue.
  15. Positive? I'm positive those refs... *ahem* Sorry, just teasing. It wasn't pretty. And we underperformed at every position except our kicker and punter. It was far from our best performance. ...we *won* though. Ask Seatle if they'd take an ugly win like we got. The Bills survived a scare, and maybe that will help ground them and keep them humble. Maybe it will fire them up to play better next week, leading to a rout. The Bills won. No matter what the score and circumstance, everything gets reset and next week starts at 0-0. After tomorrow there will be a total of six teams wishing their games played out for them like ours did for us. Just keep *that* in mind if you start feeling too negative about this game. A 'W' is still a "W", after all.
  16. He has been pretty much since the Bills beat his Broncos. He's pretty fair in his evaluations and entertaining to watch.
  17. Am I mistaken, or did the league do the same to Tampa earlier? Close play, looked like a fumble, was near the end of the first half, under two minutes. Looked like the booth wasn't going to review it so Tampa burned a time-out to force the issue. And after the review, call on the field stood. Tampa won, as did we, but the NFL should realize they dodged a bullet twice and really take a look at it's officials and replay system.
  18. I have a new appreciation for the suffering of the Saints and their fans after this...
  19. This. There was no excuse for that one. They had all the time in the world during the injury time out to look at it.
  20. This. I get it, Giants have to blame themselves. Not excusing them or feeling bad for them. If they were 9-7, 10-6 maybe I would. That being said, what the Eagles pulled was unsportsman like. Yes, teams tank. But they at least *try* to conceal that they are. The Eagles just outright threw the game on a national stage so they could blatently improve their draft capital. They should have just saved everyone the drama and emotion and just declared they were forfeiting this game ahead of time.
  21. Wasn't the bomb to Davis retaliation for Miami calling a time-out when the Bills just content to run out the clock? "Well, this was fun. Let's just get this over wi...wait. A time out? Really? You still want to play? Okay. Let's play."
  22. Yeah, usually 10-6 is good enough for a wild card lock and you end up with a handful of 9-7 hopefulls scrambling for the bottom wild cards. When we broke the drought there were actually four 9-7 teams in the AFC all tied for the two wild card spots.
