  1. Ugh. Pushed him out. Tackle drills this week? Then a hole you can drive a truck through. Gotta adjust at halftime.
  2. He's short. Helmet made it, ball not quite. He did have it, but got greedy. Poor situational awareness.
  3. Liked seeing Allen choosing the checkdown there. You *know* he was looking for the airstrike there.
  4. Well, he got crushed right away. Surprised he got the pass off.
  5. Have loved chess since I was a kid. I made my first set by drawing pieces on paper and taping them onto checkers in a (successful) bid to guilt my dad into buying a real chess set. Also had a fascination with red chess pieces as a historically alternate color. Even more so after reading "Alice Through the Looking Glass" with the Red Queen. Was originally going to roll with "The Red Knight", but that seemed cliche as all heck, so I went with "The Red King". By the time I realized the name might come off as arrogant, it was too late, it had already stuck. That's why my initial avatar here was a red crown (the typical symbol used in chess for the piece), but as noted above realized that could be seen as arrogant for anyone that missed the chess connection. So I swapped to my current one. Not the most exciting, but it works. If I do swap it in the future, it'll be for something equally clear.
  6. I'd like to see a few more this weekend. Not blitz-crazy, but just enough to keep him from getting comfortable. Leads to more downs when he's sweating bullets wondering if the heat is coming this time.
  7. Didn't the Bengals thump the Dolphins on Prime Time earlier this season?
  8. To be fair, ours is melting down atm, and we won by 10, so...
  9. Aren't you just a ray of sunshine after Buffalo improves to 6-1?
  10. 6-1 with wins over the other three current division leaders and a 1 1/2 game lead for the division title and #1 spot in the AFC. Yep, time to sound the panic alarms and talk about how they are underachieving. KC lost to Indy! If we're that bad, KC must be in a horrific free-fall right now.
  11. So, you agree there is an upper limit to what we should spend on a player and not just "whatever it takes". I didn't have to make my point. I baited you into making it for me.
  12. Remember when KC had that terrible game against Indy this season, lost even, and how that one bad performance exposed them and led to a spiralling string of losses? No? Wait. You mean they learned from it, and bounced right back and are still considered a top five team? Imagine that...
  13. I agree. It's more that the OP stated it would be an "Epic Fail" if we didn't make some kind of trade, regardless of cost.
  14. Who says it's two picks? And what picks? You willing to ship two first-rounders. Or more? Wanna pull a Browns-Watson style trade? I'm not saying they shouldn't look into potential trades, but to say it's an epic fail if they don't throw away their future is a bit much. Saying make a trade no matter the cost is why recent Bills' GMs until now dug the Bills into that lil drought. (Edit: PSA is Public Service Announcement, just so you know.)
  15. Reread my reply. You can't just tell a team you want player "x", and on your terms. Other teams know Buffalo is close and either don't want to trade a critical piece to us, or they want to fleese us. Also, there are other teams willing to overspend to outbid us.
  16. Obviously this roster can't hack it. 😆
  17. As do we all. Moves for the sake of moves won't help. Also, a PSA...trades are not like shopping. You don't just pick them off the shelf and pay the price tags. Other teams are not required to trade to Buffalo, on Buffalo's terms.
  18. ...Karma doesn't like people that blast sideliners in civis?
  19. So, you want a move for the sake of a move, no matter the cost, even if it hurts the team long term. Just make any move, just to make a move. And it will be an epic fail if we don't?
  20. Many fans are afraid, very afraid. We have something special here. We're Bills' fans, though. Our past consists of losing four straight Super Bowls, Wide Right, 13 Seconds...so fans are terrified that at some point the wheels are coming off the bus. So, yesterday gave those fans a chance to panic, to feel like "See! There it is! It's happening again! I knew it! We can't have nice things!" In some, it's just a conditioned reflex at this point, sadly.
