Look at the Patriots' run. While there were a couple years they looked dominant, many years they looked real good, but flawed. They looked beatable. But they kept winning all the same. We may not look 14-3, but we're 14-3. Two of our three losses were to this year playoff teams, and all three were by 3 or less points. And all this while decimated by injuries. We looked rough yesterday, but divisional games often are. Look at the Ravens/Bengals game. We are who we are, and this team can grind out a win against anyone. They may not be the Tyson they were Weeks 1 and 2, but they're doing just fine as a Foreman right now.

Oh, and you're absolutely right. Only an idiot would think this thread would become a discussion about the big picture. I'm not an idiot, so I never thought it would happen, thank you. (Lesson here: If you are going to call someone an idiot, you'd best not screw up your own post.)

I think some people didn't bother to read my OP. I was specifically referring to this game. I even said it doesn't need to change critics' minds. I thought even the critics had to admit he had a great game today. Instead we get people talking about his season and whether or not he should be resigned...which is completely off-topic. It saddens me that some people just see the name Edmunds and fire off a reply without even bothering to read the original post and see what the topic is actually about in the first place.

Okay, I know some on the board has been harsh on him, in a lot of cases rightfully deserved. But can we take a moment and all agree he had a monster game today, making big plays at just the right time? The critics among you can keep your opinion, but even you have to admit for this game at least he was clutch.

I seem to recall saying division games worry me, no matter what. They gotta clean up their act, but that was a weird game all around. I think it was a hard reality check. Hopefully it shocks Josh into realizing he doesn't (and shouldn't) try and hero ball it the whole game. McD and Dorsey really need to have a talk with him. I still think Buffalo can beat anyone, but they need to settle down and play a disciplined game. Josh keeps going for home runs, this team's gonna Casey their way out of the playoffs.

Injuries, a lot of reviews. Miami took a crap ton of timeouts (I think all three second half TOs) when they were about to get flagged for Delay of Game.

Why would McD already rule him out for next week? Makes no sense. Keep the opponent guessing as long as you can. Is this confirmed?

I count nothing as an automatic win in the playoffs. Yes, I'd prefer to play Pitt, but I'm not about to call it an auto-win.

We lose tomorrow and Cincy wins, we are the 3rd seed and face the prospect of going back to Cincy to play them there. We win, and we'll be 2nd seed, and Cinci will have to come here instead. Yeah...tomorrow is kinda important.
