He called about trading for him, couldn't get it done, and he's not any smarter or dumber for it. It's just the way the NFL works sometimes. Plus, teams don't disclose their draft wants and needs to each other and about each other when discussing a wide receiver trade. I'm sure everybody would have been interested at the right price but most teams were eliminated right off the bat because of how much he cost. It helped, but Chubb looked better all year. Dorsey finally traded Hyde so Hue was forced to play Chubb. Hyde then went to Jacksonville and basically not play. Hyde is a decent player, but he isn't special either.

Hyde is average. He was averaging 3 YPC in Cleveland last year. Chubb starts and goes for 5. And Hyde isn't a good receiver either. He's ok, but nothing special.

If you sign him, yes. If they trade him, it can be whatever the teams agree to. But to trade him, he has to sign the franchise tag.
