No team is going to tie up 30% of their cap on a player they don't even have. And I doubt the Steelers are going full rebuild after they snuck into the playoffs. They need a QB and they'll at least be competative.

Steelers can't trade Watt. WAY too much dead money for them to eat. But yeah, I still had some minor turnover doubts about Allen to start the year, but congrats, you got a top tier QB from here on out. Dude has had the physical ability the entire time, but he developed more than I ever thought he could.

2nd Half Thread - Bills @ Chiefs - 2022 Divisional Round Playoffs

He lost control with both hands and recaught it, but by then he was out of bounds. If he didn't bobble it would have been a catch. -

Double caught it. By the time he secured it, he had touched out of bounds. -
In one post, you claim it was a heart attack "from something else" then in another your article says "from unknown sources." So which is it? What evidence do you have?

Kneel it out!

Broncos are in the market for a new head coach
cle23 replied to Pokebball's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's either a "hot" coordinator or a retread HC. -
Again, the majority of the top of your quote is pure speculation. The only one that was confirmed to be an issue was Mayfield and Jackson. The others are speculation and that's it. I never once saw anything where he "hated" Kitchens or Stefanksi. And your whole first statement is what Cabot wrote, and again, it's speculation. Unless she talked to Stefanski or Mayfield, it's speculation. They had barely finished the game and there is an article about him wanting to be traded. Cabot writes articles for clicks, and subscriptions now as well. Some are overly complimentary. Most are speculation and inferences based on nothings. You don't just run a story based on a source unless you can verify the information. And it's not just her, it's media as a whole. The entire sports media just throws up "sources" on every report with no basis whatsoever. A lot, like Schefter, have proven over the years to obviously verify things because it is extremely rare they are wrong. Also, I was never saying Beane is terrible, just making the comparison because every GM out there makes a bad trade or drafts a bad player. It happens.

Right, but just any random article you found is more credible? Dorsey also drafted Mahomes, so I guess he's total garbage huh? Ward? Chubb? He was a pretty decent GM, though he missed a lot in the middle rounds, just too full of himself and chose to due on the Freddie Kitchens hill in Cleveland. Is Beane bad for trading Teller to.........Dorsey? I'm not saying it's not possible that Mayfield had input, but just as much (or more) points the other direction.

The thing is, Baker didn't say anything about this situation until Cabot posted an article that is pure speculation. That's her issue. She implies stuff nonstop and then write articles about that as if it is legit. I am sure Mayfield and Stefankski have some issues as the season didn't go as planned. I think any fan would admit it. But Cabot has been writing crap stories like this for years, not just since Mayfield has been there.

They changed that a couple years ago. Limit of 4 comp picks per team, and also a limit on the total number, so it can vary quite a bit.

Right, they shouldn't pay him anywhere near top QB money. I do believe he is above average, but he is too inconsistent. This year is kind of hard to say because he got hurt early in the 2nd game of the year and was obviously not the same as he was before. But only the guys in the building, and Baker himself, will truly know how much that hampered him. It is extremely odd to have the season he had last year with a brand new head coach, and then regress that bad in year 2 simply by chance. I think the injury was the major factor, but he is on essentially a 1 year prove it deal next season. Either way, Mary Kay isn't a good writer. There are have been more than once or twice that people have asked if she was serious after questions, and it's not just players and such. Maybe she isn't good in the way she words questions, but being a writer for this many years, she should have a handle on it by now.

Mary Kay Cabot is a quack. She writes articles for drama and clicks. She has decent content sometimes, but she then writes headlines for said article in order to create drama. I know clicks = money, but she isn't a great representative of a great and fair reporter. Hue Jackson went 1-31 before Mayfield. So he killed himself with his inflated ego. Kitchens is the fault of John Dorsey. Hired him WAY before he was ever ready.

Cleveland isn't signing Mayfield to an extension this offseason, unless he signs a deal way under market value, which I doubt. He has had flashes of great play, but is erratic as well. He is an above average QB when healthy, but not a $40M a year guy. So there is a lot of variables here, with the injury and upcoming surgery being the biggest.

Edited: Browns are amazingly (NOT) going to make the playoffs

If Cincinnati wins either of their last 2 games, it doesn't matter what Baltimore does. -

You also have a rookie kicker in his first game who was shaky at best. You can't play for a 45 yard field goal. -

If the ball is in the air, it's still illegal. And that was past 5 yards. That directly "ended" the game. -

Dude bear hugged him and then held. It's illegal contact at a minimum, but easily PI too. -
There's no way to prove that either way. We can also ignore that Rudolph hit him in the groin more than once before the helmet incident.
