  1. Right, forgot you are a medical expert who knows the inner workings of the NFL and all of it's players.
  2. Most of the lineman shrink because most people are not made to be 320lbs. I listen to Joe Thomas a lot being a Browns fan, and he discussed how hard it was to keep his weight at 315lbs to play LT. He would literally eat at all hours of the day, and eat huge amounts of good/calories just to keep his weight up. A local kid from where I'm from was recruited D1 college football, and ended up at Michigan. He was a pretty highly touted OL, especially for a small HS, and he is now a TE simply because he was physically unable to keep his weight where it needed to be to play D1. Players are bigger/faster/stronger because they are focused on nutrition and training almost 24/7/365. I'm not naïve enough to think no one is juicing, but Donald isn't some 350lbs muscle bound monster. He is huge obviously, but he plays at like 280-290.
  3. I guess I mean that I think it's obvious he made sexual advances or at least hinted at sexual involvement of some kind with some of these women. It all comes down to whether he threatened/forced/coerced any of them. If he did, that's obviously a major issue. But asking or hinting is creepy, but not technically illegal or in and of itself harassment. So he's not the squeaky clean guy he was thought to be, but it's undetermined if what he did was harassment/sexual assault, or makes him civilly liable.
  4. Plenty of teams involve their franchise QB in decisions, of varying importance. But none of the "he shouldn't be involved in those decisions" comments matter if they promised him he would be. You don't promise people one thing and then ignore them when the time comes. Businesses that do that tend to lose a lot of employees.
  5. I have no idea what he is. Teammates and people around him say he's great. Obviously 20 some women say he's not. I imagine it's somewhere in between, but who knows. 2 grand juries decided not to indict, so there isn't much evidence, but that also doesn't mean he's innocent. My biggest hold up on the whole thing is that the Plaintiffs' lawyer is also the lawyer for the Texans' owner, and this all started once Watson wanted traded. Obviously I have no idea if any of it is true or not either way though.
  6. We don't know what they told him, BUT if they told him he'd be involved and then they ignored him, that's on them for even saying it to start with. It's crazy how many claim to have intricate knowledge of the inner workings of random franchises, and then make baseless claims based on that.
  7. The 2nd half of last year he did. He greatly improved his blocking. Overpaid for now, but the dude is barely 25 with 5 years in the league.
  8. Josh Allen's contract had him at $990,000 in base salary in 2021. Mahomes' contract had him at $825,000 in 2021, and it will be at $990,000 in 2022.
  9. I am not sure they can do that. We'd have to look into the CBA, but I highly doubt players can be fined directly for off the field problems. On the field, sure, but I don't think they can be fined for anything off the field.
  10. The thing is though, this isn't true. They did the exact same thing will all of their big contracts recently. Garrett, Ward, Chubb, restructured Cooper. It looks bad, but you can't ignore that they did it with everyone, not just Watson.
  11. Where does that end though? Watson probably will be suspended, but a grand jury elected not to pursue charges. These are purely civil cases at this point. Literally anyone can file civil suits for almost any reason because the burden of proof is MUCH lower. So how can you suspend someone indefinitely for something they weren't charged for, and in which the civil trials aren't even set up yet? I've been saying the entire time that if he was criminally guilty he should be out of the league and from everything I've seen it's likely hes going to get suspended at least some either way.
  12. I'm telling you, the texts released were from the same woman as described. There could be others that they haven't released, who knows. But what is listed and what is described via the testimony is about the same woman. I've said before, I didn't want to trade for Watson. Huge gamble obviously, They did, and as fans we live with it. Also, quit comparing Bauer and Watson. If Watson is guilty, he deserves whatever punishment he gets, but Bauer allegedly violently assaulted/choked/sodomized a woman. Both are crimes, but they aren't the same crime. The Bauer case also has photo and text evidence, though the texts I saw were really confusing.
  13. They've actually done that with all of the big contracts (Garrett, Chubb, Ward) recently, not just Watson. To be fair, they've done the exact same with Ward, Chubb, Garrett, etc. as well.
  14. The main difference there is Osweiler had 3 years, and I believe like $28m guaranteed left on his contract. Mayfield has 1 year. I could honestly see Cleveland keeping him at this point with no intention on playing him at all. He would likely get signed as a starter next offseason for some QB desperate team, and given that Cleveland's front office is heavily analytics/draft pick driven, you take your comp pick and go. Especially if cutting him only saves vet minimum when someone else signs him.
  15. Hue Jackson did nothing but blame everyone else for his problems, and the "incentivizing losses" comment was just another chance to try to clear his name. I honestly think that the Browns plan then was to stockpile draft capital and salary cap in a complete and total rebuild, and losing naturally comes with that most of the time. But I don't think the plan was to lose as many games as possible.
  16. The issue is if you do go all in and don't win, and then you still have a bad year after that. The "all in" strategy works occasionally, but it also falls on its face a whole lot more than not. Basically like anything else, it needs to be "all in" within reason.
  17. Probably because Andrews is their #1 passing option. Dude had 1361 yards last year. They definitely need WR help, but with their run game, it greatly reduces the need for top flight WRs. The main thing is keeping Jackson healthy, which is tricky given his size and running. I hate the Ravens, but they draft well and to their team identity.
  18. I mean, not saying he's a HoF player. But people on here were talking about taking a punter in the 4th. Kickers are WAY more important.
  19. Yeah, best kicker by far for a team with the worst kicker by far. And Winfrey earlier. Just terrible......
  20. This is an honest question. Does he have that power? Because roster decision making is written into contracts.
  21. If the dude never plays, no one is giving up 2 1sts for him.
  22. Right, Elam is tall for a corner. That doesn't make McDuffie small. I don't understand people trying to trash another player just because someone else drafted him. McDuffie played outside his entire college career, but suddenly he is a slot only corner. He played 12 snaps at slot last year, while 593 on the outside. Who knows if Buffalo would have drafted him, but he was generally regarded as a better prospect than Elam. Who has the better career has a million other factors involved.
  23. He's literally 1 pound lighter than the Bills pick. And 5'11 for a corner isn't tiny.
  24. I think they just didn't swap 25 to Baltimore in that shot.
