I don't disagree with much of what was said, but Watson played in 2020, so he has played 6 games in 2 seasons, not in 3 seasons. You would assume that he would get back closer to 2020 Watson after a full offseason and beginning the year, but I don't disagree with Cleveland's lower rating until he proves it. If he is 2020 Watson, they should be SB contenders. If he isn't, then they won't be.

The DE tag is more than a LB tag. Or it was for several years. I do believe it is closer now. It's the average of the top 5 salaries for the position. And again, the previous post said if he was inline for 10%. That means 90% flexed. If Kelce was flexed 35%, that means he was inline for 65%, which is the majority.

Someone else put it best earlier in the thread. Burrow is the better QB. Allen is a better overall football player. Allen is bigger, faster, and has a stronger arm. Burrow is more accurate, and processes defense and coverages better. Burrow seems to make better decisions overall, and Allen will give you more WOW plays. If I had to pick 1 of the 2 start start a franchise with, it would be Burrow, but mainly because I feel like Allen's style of play is much more unforgiving, at some point he will slow down, and his body will have problems from the hits. It may be 3 years, it may be 10. But Burrow is a guy I could see playing 15-20 more years. Allen may too, but not the way he plays now. And I trust Burrow more as a pure passer than Allen.

If he lines up at the line for only 10% of his snaps, he would have a major case to be classified as a WR. Just like the LBs who rush 80% of the time. They usually win their case to be classified as a DE. What typically happens in those cases is the team and player agree to a number somewhere in the middle.

Good thing the Chiefs are a run first offense. Smith dislocated his elbow early last year. He was much worse after that. Not saying he is All Pro, but he is at least average, which is usually sufficient.

The issue being, for every Allen, there are 5 busts. Most QBs who are drafted on "potential" are hot garbage because if they're drafted on potential it generally means they aren't that great. Allen was able to refine himself for the most part, but he still has his moments where the guy drafted on potential shows up.

I don't like Stroud much. If I'm Houston, I trade down if Young goes 1 and try to grab Richardson or Levis. Stock more picks and take either of those guys wherever you trade down to, or at 12. Still a gamble, but the extra picks help offset the risk.

Mike Mayock happened. But Ruggs with his situation, and the Raiders didn't have a pick until round 3 last year. Leatherwood, their 2021 1st is already gone. Arnette is gone. Clellin Ferrell is gone. Jonathan Abrams. All well before their contracts expired. All 1st rounders.

I came to the team website board in like 2007 when the Browns played Buffalo and stuck around there for a while, then came here after that. So no, it's basically this board and a Browns board that I semi frequent. This board seems to be more active and have more football discussion than most others.

Why would you add when 42 went to the Jets and 74 went to Cleveland?

The Jets moved up in picks, but they swapped very similar WRs. Main difference being that Hardman is going to cost A LOT more than Moore.

Cleveland needed a slot receiver, and Moore had been a slot receiver until the Jets made him an outside receiver for whatever reason. Pretty decent trade with the 3rd coming back.

Fields is 2 years in and was decent last year. Goff has been to the SB. Neither are superstars, but it's way too early to say they can't especially Fields.

Schoonmaker was the starter this year at Michigan for a majority of the year. All didn't play much at all. But yes, Schoonmaker is very good and reliable. Won't ever be Gronk or Kelce, but he can be a very solid TE who is a good blocker and receiver.

The original post I responded to said that they were both controllable for 5 years. And they're not. Not anymore, and Oliver is only 1 year. So his value isn't much. At least Jeudy is 2 years.

They were controllable for 5 years when they were drafted, yes, but not at this point.
