  1. I recall an AFC Championship game where Peyton Manning threw 3 INTs in the first half against the Patriots. Every analyst lambasted him at halftime, then he proceeded to win the game in the 2nd half. Josh was unfortunately not able to finish out the 2nd half, but I felt like he had us marching towards a W right before the helmet to helmet hit. We’ve had many QBs that couldn’t move the ball against the Patriots. Allen has now proven he can move the ball on them, he just has to cut down the turnovers. I’ll also say that the turnovers are largely a part of trotting out 3 #3 / slot type receivers as your starters. Gordon and Edelman are far better than any option Josh has.
  2. Not concerned at all. Allen was figuring that defense out in the 2nd half. Many QBs never figure out how to beat Bellicheck. This was only his second crack at him too.
  3. D- first half, but he was trending towards an A+ 2nd half. Not getting to play the whole game and determine the outcome I give him an incomplete. I’m guessing most of the replies to this topic are from new or young fans!? It took Peyton Manning about 7 years to figure out how to beat the Bellicheck defense. Our punting killed us far more than Josh’s interceptions. We gave up a punt block TD and had ~20 yard punts. Most of his INTs were deep passes that gave New England worse field position than our punt team would have given them. Hauschka’s miss caused us to not attempt what would have been game tying / game winning field goals. You can’t put Haushka’s miss completely on Allen. Josh was clearly bouncing back from a rough first half and looked on track to pick up the W. The cheap shot just sucks.
  4. I’ll second the Jason Peters vote.
  5. One sided officiating...
  6. If they had Darnold, they possibly could have beaten the Browns... I think some are underestimating the competition we beat so far. We definitely look the part of a playoff bound team. Injuries can change that, but we’re sitting pretty with Allen at the helm on offense and a swarming defense. Pats will be a good test. If we can get to Brady, then we have a good shot.
  7. Empty stadiums is horrible for league image (in my opinion). They need to lower the costs of parking and concessions if they want an electric atmosphere on TV. I simply won’t watch other team’s games if there is no atmosphere of importance in the stadium.
  8. Wonder what he’ll say when we beat the Pats in 2 weeks... probably that the Pats aren’t as good as he thought, LOL!
  9. Allen, without question. Moving the ball consistently this year and outsmarting defenses.
  10. One thing that is getting lost here... Shurmer has to avoid creating conflict with the GM that drafted Barkley at 2. Nobody seemed to think Allen was a sure thing, not even our own GM in an interview last week apparently. I don’t see what the controversy is.
  11. Our defense is a lot better than the Steelers and Allen is a young hungry QB as opposed to Roethlisberger thinking about retirement. We hung with them with Derek Anderson last year. It will be interesting to see how much Josh has learned about New England since last year.
  12. Great write up as always Shaw. Big takeaways for me: 1. Nice to see a McDermott squad where the run defense isn’t a dumpster fire to start the year. In fact, it was the opposite. Leveon looked like his old self, but instead of going off for 200 yards, we held him under 100. 2. Josh Allen had total command of the offense. Where Darnold looked like he was basically running what was called, Allen was frequently and quickly changing plays and making adjustments at the line. For a “project” quarterback, I am floored that he looks to have already leapfrogged Baker, Darnold and Rosen. The sky is the limit.
  13. Biggest thing to me was he showed complete command of the offense. Plenty of big time throws. Needs to see guys jumping his deep routes better, but an excellent showing underneath and in the intermediate area. A++ from me, the year 2 jump was completely visible. DaBoll is doing an excellent job bringing together a modern NFL offense as well.
  14. Nah, grip it and rip it!
  15. Thank you so much! I’ll swing by there and try the kiosk. That last part you’re probably right, haha!
  16. Question for you: I’ve been thinking of placing a Bills Super Bowl bet this year. Are you able to make that bet at Rivers? If so, do you know what odds they put on it at Rivers? I tried researching the bets New York State allows you to make and I didn’t see the basic Super Bowl bet listed.
  17. LMAO, didn’t realize we racked up ~200 yards in penalties when we spanked the Vikings.
  18. This kind of reminds me of watching a preseason game from the Ravens (I believe the season they won the Super Bowl against the 49ers). A lot of fight and enthusiasm on this team.
  19. Hate to say it, but there’s so many players with domestic abuse issues... I worry that some players would wear taking out the girl kicker as a badge of honor.
  20. That’s Manica’s breast feature!
  21. D) Mills going from starter at the end of one season to a preseason cut for another team before the start of the next season. These guys are human and that has to be a huge mental and emotional blow.
  22. I’ll say Lions. Packers seem to keep bumbling around, Vikings have concerns around Cousins, and the Bears are due for a letdown with Trubisky.
  23. I’ll be pissed if we wind up watching Foster light it up on another team while our offense sputters.
  24. That’s comforting (no sarcasm intended).
  25. I’d blame him more for the bad Star Lotulelei and Mitch Morse big $$$ signings than I would if Allen doesn’t pan out.
