  1. Most overrated QB ever. If Bellicheck had Peyton Manning, Pats win 10+ Super Bowls in a row.
  2. Bellicheck went 11-5 with Matt Cassell. Nothing is over until Bellicheck is gone. With a top end QB, they could be better than they ever were with Brady.
  3. Just remember, if Daboll leaves, the OC job in Buffalo is more attractive than it has been in 20+ years. We might actually lure a competent OC in. I’m fine if Daboll stays and we add talent, but I don’t think we need to worry if he leaves.
  4. 75% better I think the biggest thing for him is to continue to develop mentally where he is better with protections, diagnosing the blitz, and making adjustments. He made great strides in those areas this year, but it still remains as his biggest opportunity for growth. I think there are far easier plays to be had if he can make more strides in this area. My fear is that he may focus too much on honing in on his deep ball and cutting the fumbling down. The biggest thing his critics miss entirely is his vision. He generally seems to be seeing the whole field and understanding what players on defense can make a play on the ball. We haven’t had a QB that could do this for decades. I’m confident that he can make the important remaining improvements he needs to be one of the best QBs in the league.
  5. They’ve improved from being worst in the NFL to being below average. If not for Josh’s mobility they would look a lot worse.
  6. These are my biggest concerns as well. We saw it all season long. Josh had a couple bad plays, but was mostly outstanding. I generally didn’t feel like the players let us down... it was the coaches putting players in the only spots they could fail in key moments.
  7. KC, they should have won last year.
  8. If Allen was as inaccurate as Brady we would never hear the end of it.
  9. They should have been able to tee off on Watson in the 2nd half. McDermott was infamous for this in Carolina as well.
  10. It has a very high probability of happening. Michael Vick, Vince Young, Colin Kaepernick, and RGIII all say hi.
  11. Good compared to Buffalo’s. It hasn’t stuck out to me watching Watson where guys will routinely let someone go untouched through the middle of the line like they do in Buffalo. The past few years in Buffalo is some of the worst pass blocking I’ve ever seen. That said, I’ve only really had the chance to watch a handful of Watson’s games.
  12. Watson has guys he can lean on and a good o-line. Allen basically always has to be the guy to make a play. Look at the way the Ravens could just tee off on Allen because nobody else is a threat. Watson doesn’t see that kind of pressure often. Allen has had to find ways to survive and make plays where the level of intensity he faces on the field is far beyond what Watson is accustomed to. Josh has been making plays when there are no good options. What will Watson do when his options are more limited due to the better defenses and gameplans? Winning in the playoffs you have to be very smart and very sharp to figure out how to win in the 2nd half. Even smart QBs like Brees and Manning failed many times because they couldn’t adjust in-game like say Tom Brady. Allen has shown signs this year that he figures out exactly what the other team is doing by the end of the first half.
  13. Allen, I think his smarts are criminally underrated and he has the brains to figure out playoff defenses and outsmart them. I have reservations on how Watson will fare against the best defenses in the playoffs. Playoff defenses are a totally different animal than regular season defenses. Allen has had to fight tooth and nail for 2 years with an inadequate supporting cast. Deshaun has gotten to cruise along much of that time. How will Watson react to the easy plays not being there? Allen has been in a perpetual dogfight for 2 years with every mistake magnified because he has no room for errors with the weak supporting cast.
  14. This shouldn’t be a surprise, there was an article a few weeks ago that said they keep Tre on the same side of the field. I do tend to agree with you though, why let the offense dictate the matchups? I assume it allows our defense to communicate better, play faster, and not be out of position on the snap. I would think the trade-off wouldn’t be worth it if Fuller is out and Hopkins abuses Wallace.
  15. Corrupt officiating flourished under Stern, not a fan.
  16. Well at least the most crooked refs will need to be on hand in New England this week, rather than Houston. Thanks Fitz!
  17. This times a million! I was saying the same thing all offseason. Seemed like many thought signing some middle tier free agents would elevate us from worst supporting cast to top 10 supporting cast. I had a thread that got shut down because I was pissed we passed on AJ Brown. Now he is the front runner for Offensive Rookie of the Year. I doubt we find a better receiver in the next few years.
  18. Any concerns about having no momentum heading into the playoffs? I don’t think that it will affect our team, but I’m curious what others think.
  19. This offense does not play hard for 60 minutes. I like that it is at least a modern offense, but they aren’t getting results aside from Josh making something out of nothing. I’m with most posters in this thread who won’t be upset if the Panthers take him.
  20. Anyone think of Josh Allen when they showed and talked with Roger and Brett? The scrambling... downfield passing... confidence from teammates and leadership. Not saying he is as good as them now, but maybe one day he can get there.
  21. Is what McDermott has done so far this season any more impressive than what Vrabel has done? I don’t think Vrabel should be in top 3 either.
  22. I would say homer on this one. I know some have given him Coach of the Year buzz lately, but would you really rather have him as your coach than the other 3? What about the job Vrabel has done? Personally, I think these awards should be done after the Super Bowl. If McClappy puts a SB run together then you would hear no argument from me for that award.
  23. IMO Josh will be better off in the long haul for having fought to find success through the worst rookie QB scenario you could imagine. Mahomes may be on the Marino track where we’ve already seen his peak. He also had a very scary injury this year. Things should only get easier for Josh and harder for Mahomes from here.
