PFF's Big Board (I know I know, but hear me out)
Troll Toll replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seeing that list just makes me more pissed that we passed on AJ Brown and DK Metcalf. We could have had both of those guys... There is nobody on that list that is as physically impressive, not to mention Brown and Metcalf can ball. -
Pro Bowl Player Poll--Worst City to Travel To

It is kind of sad, I can’t believe he is at the end of his career. He didn’t look too shabby in preseason. When Ladainian was at the end of his career, he had clearly lost a few steps. Shady still looks quick and shifty to me.

Either that or a kim-burly and toothy situation...

Is the goal to make us sleepy with sore forearms for the 2nd half? -
“ and it isn’t even close!” ” the GOAT” especially coming from people who have only seen and experienced a sliver of the history needed to make such an assertion

Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude

I agree, I don’t want us to pursue Watkins, just calling it like I see it. -
Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude

It’s telling to our situation that he would be a #1 in Buffalo when he is like the 4th best option in the passing game for KC. -
Allen >>>>>>>>>>>> Jackson Nice for a game like tonight to illuminate what many of us have been saying for weeks.

Mutual Admiration Society: Daboll and Allen

AFC teams. Which are ascending. Which are descending.

East I think Buffalo was the best team in the East this year, though New England taking out Josh in the first matchup prevented things from playing out that way record-wise. North I expect Ravens to drop a few notches next year. They caught teams off guard this year. Pittsburgh could make a run at them with a return from Big Ben and another playmaker on offense. South Houston looks like they will remain in first as they have the best QB situation. I could see a surprise surge from Indy with a good QB move. I’m still not sold on Tannehill. West Chiefs are well positioned to remain at the top, but they are trending down to me with Kelce and Hill aging. If Buffalo can hit on some offensive players, then they’ll be a Super Bowl contender next year. -
I agree, who was David Tyree before and after that Super Bowl catch? Winning teams have unlikely heroes and the Bills unfortunately have guys like Clay and DiMarco. Then Allen gets eviscerated because he should know his teammates won’t come through...

Are you seriously trying to cherry pick numbers to claim that Indy’s defenses were anywhere close to those New England defenses!? Did you even watch the NFL in those years? Patriots defenses were stacked with great players: Ty Law Teddy Bruschi Mike Vrabel Willie McGinest Lawyer Milloy Rodney Harrison Richard Seymour Asante Samuel Vince Wilfork Indy had Dwight Freeney -
which of these 3 cost the Bills more

Yeah, it’s easily the QB sweep for me as well. I jumped off the sofa quickly after the snap as I saw 3 blockers and 2 Texans between Josh and a game winning TD. I thought there was no way we don’t get a TD on that play. -

I don’t know what you’re on, but in 2006 when the Colts won the Super Bowl, they were dead last in the NFL in run defense. They gave up a whopping 173ypg on the ground and roughly 30 yards per game worse than the 31st ranked run defense. New England was 5th allowing 94 ypg rushing and had the #2 defense overall. Oh and Peyton still kicked their ass in the playoffs. Good on you mentioning his Denver run, when he had no arm left and became a game manager for a great defense. He was able to beat Brady and Bellicheck in the AFC Championship with no arm. You basically made my point. Imagine if Peyton had that defense in Indy in his prime! Brady had a top flight defense backing him for basically 20 years. All he has ever been is a system QB and game manager for the greatest defense in NFL history over a 20 year span. Manning also was 3-2 against Brady in the playoffs. -

It is a team sport. Writing off having the best defensive mind of all time AND one of the top Running games in the NFL for the first 3 Super Bowls is simply mind boggling. Brady only needed 135 yards passing to beat the Rams in his first Super Bowl. Think about it the other way, does Brady win any Super Bowls if he is in Indy and Peyton is in New England? I know it may pain you to say it, but the answer is a simple no. In fact Brady possibly washes out of the NFL before his career even gets started in Indy. -

Defense wins championships and Indy had basically the worst run defense in the NFL during Peyton’s time there. If he had the best defensive coach in NFL history it is scary to think how dominant his career would be. Instead he had Dungy’s wet tissue Ds. -

Brady is what, a 3 time First Team All-Pro? Manning is a 7 time. Brady is one of the best game manager QBs, and that is all he had to be with the greatest defensive coach of all time.
