  1. I agree, if people only knew how much open borders and fighting travel bans would help the CoronaVirus!
  2. Good signing! Low risk / high reward.
  3. Honestly, I saw a number of deep throws last year where the receiver should have caught the ball, but came up 5 yards short due to slowing down in what appeared to be the receiver making an assumption the ball wasn’t coming his way or making a horrendous adjustment to the ball in flight. Behind Brown and Beasley, Buffalo’s receivers are awful.
  4. I’m serious. If I were in Beane’s position, the only receivers I would be looking at are: 1) CeeDee Lamb (Round 1) 2) Tee Higgins (Round 2) 3) Brandon Aiyuk (Round 2) 4) Laviska Shenault (Round 3) These guys would make the Bills better. That said, none of these guys are the matchup nightmare for CBs that AJ Brown and DK Metcalf are. CeeDee Lamb will likely be gone by the Bills pick, but I would be hard pressed to trade up for him. I think the Bills will either have to go a different direction Round 1 or trade back to get real value. As for the other receivers I take off the board: Jeudy - his running style is a knee injury waiting to happen Ruggs - I question his production and his completeness as a receiver. He seems to be somewhere between Hollywood Brown and Parris Campbell in terms of ability. Hamler - too small Jefferson - lack of separation Reagor - inconsistent / disappears Claypool / Pittman / Mims - unimpressive on tape
  5. Watched the highlights... not really that impressed. Too little separation, just wait until he faces NFL corners every week. From what Beane said, Ruggs is the only guy that could come anywhere close to fitting their Tyreek Hill description. After watching the video available on the receivers this year, I don’t think any of them project to the NFL (and as receivers to compliment Allen specifically) as well as AJ Brown and DK Metcalf did last year. Beane and scouting really blew it by passing on those guys who were gift wrapped for us in round 2 last year. They would be like having 2 #1 receivers, paired with Brown and Beasley. Is Ruggs even as good as Hollywood Brown? This has the feeling of the year we drafted Manuel because we were dead set on going QB. Although WR is definitely our biggest need, I’d start looking at other positions.
  6. He has been a major disappointment and given the contract I say no to the trade.
  7. lol, I finally saw this show for the first time last weekend. Gilligan was a riot. Things going wrong seemed like everyone was at fault.
  8. He still looks out of shape to me when I see him. I don’t trust him with a big contract at all.
  9. As much as I’ve complained about the receiving options for Josh, I would hate a 1st round trade up. Jeudy looks like a knee injury waiting to happen. Seems like WR has also been a less valued position group as of late.
  10. WR will be particularly interesting to see what happens this year... A few years ago Mike Williams and Corey Davis went top 10 and haven’t really panned out. Last year receivers didn’t start going until late in the first round and GMs are probably kicking themselves for the WRs they passed on. Hollywood Brown came off in the 20s and was a similar, but more bonafide prospect than Ruggs is this year. If I’m the Bills I don’t trade up in the first, I let the draft come to me. I maybe trade up from the 2nd to grab another wideout.
  11. Maybe he can do a TV special and take his STDs to South Beach!
  12. Sign me up!
  13. With the Tarantino flick, I enjoyed that part when I first watched it because I wasn’t expecting it at all (I expected the plan to fall apart). Since that time, with films like Django, I’ve come to despise the social justice motivation behind the alterations and the embarrassing pandering to the “victim” class. I will say, if I watch a movie I’m unfamiliar with from a historical perspective, I tend to be disappointed afterwards when I find out where the filmmaker misled me. Related question: How do you feel about filmmakers changing details from fictional books they are based on?
  14. I banned Bruce Bannon... and now I’m running for my life!
  15. I actually think Buffalo did a worse job, but Allen has risen above it. Replacing Peterman at halftime in Week 1? Top receiver Zay Jones or Robert Foster? An offensive line that was almost entirely replaced the next offseason? Over the hill running backs? It is a miracle he didn’t bust with the sorry bunch they put out there on offense in 2018. I will not credit the coaches for Allen turning chicken **** into chicken salad.
  16. Allen can make all the plays and has now convincingly led this team to the playoffs, accounting for > 350 yards of offense in that game. He is THE guy in Buffalo and the fans need to get over it. The only other QB in his class to make the playoffs so far is Lamar Jackson and he has fallen on his face both times as a gimmick QB. Allen is no gimmick. Have people already forgotten the drought and all the awful QB play we saw for 2 decades? How many Pro Bowls has the rest of the offense made? The obvious move for the FO is to improve his receivers, tight ends and linemen. Replacing the QB that carried the offense on his back to the playoffs would be shocking.
  17. I think the Bills kept him on the PS this year with the plan to bump him up to the 53 in 2020. I’d go as far to say that I think we would have beat Houston if Wade was out there in place of Gore.
  18. Having seen what I’ve seen. It is absolutely 100% on the frats. They are supposed to be brotherhoods, but they force people to consume deadly amounts of alcohol. I don’t know what it was like decades ago, but from what I saw 10-15 years ago it was really scary. These kids are too young to know how dangerous what the frat is putting them up to do is. They don’t know their limits and they are trusting these “experienced” people in the frats. These stories are extremely sad to me because the victims put their trust in people who simply don’t care about them.
  19. Yeah, Andy has made a living off of screens for years and years. You’d think we would see more wheel routes too. Brees kills it with those. I mean, the frustrating part of the offense when I watch is that there are no easy throws for Allen. The short stuff has guys draped over his receiver and in the intermediate range they get open by 1-2 yards. I feel like when I watch other teams guys are wide open by 6-8 yards. I don’t know what the Bills are doing to make the passing game so hard. Lack of screen AND lack of deep ball success?
  20. I would’ve thought @Gugny would like @Dougny
  21. Same here. I don’t see how a new stadium will increase revenue significantly.
  22. They’ll probably manage to give us worse officiating
  23. I remember that, but during the preseason games Singletary seemed to do a lot better as a receiver than taking handoffs. One thing really bugging me about Shady at the time was the way he was interacting with Cole Beasley. Some on here saw it as good natured fun, but I thought McCoy looked like a total dbag.
  24. Actually I am, but the way the Bills have handled their young QB makes me go bananas. I love a lot about where this team is, but some things I don’t know how we’ll address. It is just torture that we NEEDED receiver help for Allen more than anything else. Two of the best ones to come along in a decade were there for the taking in the 2nd round and we took a Tackle that people thought would have to move to guard instead. This isn’t hindsight either, it should have been a no brainer last year. We had a really easy schedule this year and if our team doesn’t blow a couple winnable games we could have had homefield advantage in the playoffs and possibly wound up playing this weekend. Great that the team is getting better, but sometimes these missed opportunities are the best chance you ever get. I worry that we blew our best chance at a SB run with McD this year. I don’t think our schedule or injuries will be as manageable next year.
  25. He looked like arguably the best back in preseason. Clearly Singletary was better once the real games started. It was definitely odd the way things played out. They clearly had no intention of keeping him when they signed Gore and Yeldon. They probably actually kept him around in case one of those guys got injured during preseason. Kind of a cold move from the Bills FO, but they did at least let him get to KC and Reid.
