After last season I predicted a Bills-Chiefs AFC Championship with the Chiefs winning. I was quite confident we'd take down the Colts and Ravens, but I think we'll have to wait at least one more year before we can celebrate a 5th Super Bowl appearance. I see the Bills losing a wildly entertaining game that features some highly questionable calls (Maybe I'm crazy, but I think the NFL badly wants a Mahomes-Rodgers SB).
Chiefs - 43
Bills - 38

Attention is his job. I guess this is what sports talk has become though. Making outlandish statements is the norm. Baker Mayfield loses and Skip Bayless's first thought is I'll still take Mayfield over Josh Allen. I mean no one else in the world is probably thinking about that when the game ended except Skip.
And this is why I stopped watching these shows a long time ago. Most of them don't even believe the crap that comes out of their own mouths anymore, they're all just looking for viewers and clicks.

I would sure hope not, but just about everyone had the Bills beating the Colts and we saw a pretty pathetic performance on defense, but then everyone had us losing to the Ravens and the defense shut them down. Seems to me like there's the possibility they could get a little over-confident if they face Henne instead of Mahomes. Sports history is full of big games where a heavily favored team lost because they thought all they had to do was show up to win. If Mahomes plays, no one will give the Bills a chance, but if Henne plays no one will give the Chiefs a chance.

if he doesn't play, the bills win
And when the Bills win all we'll hear is how Mahomes didn't play or didn't play well because he was hurt.
And.....jimmy crack corn and I don't care......
This will for sure be the narrative if we win against a gimpy Mahomes, however, wasn't he pretty gimpy against the Niners in the SB last year? I'm sure the sports media will have amnesia though.

I would rather Mahomes plays, I'm afraid if he doesn't everyone will pick the Bills and our players will overlook the Chiefs and blow it. I've already seen the Chiefs as 2.5 point favs with PM, 3.5 point dogs without him, that's a huge swing. Plus I think we can take them, even if Mahomes is 100% because if he plays, NO ONE outside of Bills Mafia will give us a chance and our guys feed of that negativity.
In our last 12 games, the Bills are 11-1 with 8 wins by double digits, the Chiefs are also 11-1, but only 2 wins by double digits.

The only thing that worried me about this game was the threat of weather, I thought that favored the Ravens pretty heavily, so any of these jacktards suggesting the wind hurt the Ravens more are loony.

Not so fast, the Bills have been doing all kinds of things this year that have never been done.

I have a 2 month old at home so my sleep is way below normal anyway.
At the beginning of the week I would've voted 50/50, but today I chose 75%. The more I look into this game, the more confident I'm becoming. I think we're a better team, and playing much better than them too. This isn't last years Bills OR Ravens.
-
Their starters will basically have had 2 weeks off, I wonder if this will effect them at all negatively? Its one of the reasons I didn't want the Bills to rest anyone week 17, at least not at the beginning of the game, they were hot, didn't want them to cool off AT ALL.
-
All I can say is......there was a reason why Mahomes was so excited when the Chiefs cliched the 1 seed, he DID NOT want to come to Buffalo in January, it might be chilly.

Baltimore is better against the pass than Indy, but not nearly as good at stopping the run. Buffalo on the other hand, isn't good against the run and Baltimore is by far the top rushing team in the league. The Ravens had a weak schedule, but I still see this one being ugly.
Against the top 10 defenses in the league for points against, the Bills are 7-0 including wins over the Rams #1 and Steelers #3. Ravens were #2.

This team and some of the players have done a lot of things for the first time in NFL history this season, just feels like this is a team of destiny.

Its playoff time, every team has injuries this time of year. Forget the injury report because 95% of the player will make the field.
My leg is killing me too
I agree, professional athletes would have to be on their deathbed to miss a playoff game, and even that might not be enough.

It would've been a travesty if that call helped decide the outcome of that game. That was a fumble 150%, I just don't understand how you can review a play, with super slow motion, all those angles, and STILL get the call wrong.

I would love to see a sack here

Picked the Colts.
Thinks Allen is due for a down game.
Brought up McDermott's 2017 Bills team that only scored 3 points in Jacksonville.
Yeah Nick, because both Bills teams are exactly the same

Two All-Pro WRs... (one 1st team and the other 2d)?
That is remarkable. How often does that happen?
During the Seahawks-49ers game, the announcer said "with Lockett and Metcalf, the Seahawks have by far the best WR tandem in the league". I thought, hmm really? By far?
Diggs/Beasley - 209 rec., 2,502 yds, 12 tds (Beas with 1 less game) Both All-Pro's
Metcalf/Lockett - 183 rec., 2,357 yds, 20 tds - DK All Pro

This was the first Bills coaching hire post Marv that I didn't hate or shake my head at. I was cautiously optimistic. Prior to this there were some hires (Jauron for starters) that just flat out made me angry. This one though, didn't make me feel hopeless.
-
I'm not all that worried about this game, this Bills team looks really, really hungry to me, I just have a feeling that they can't be stopped. The letdown last year is the main reason why imo, so I don't see them letting up or taking anyone lightly.

How does your last paragraph point change if both Diggs and Beasley are out, which is looking like an actual possibility?
I'm pretty confident Beasley will play, I'm certain Diggs will.

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! Bills at Chiefs, Sunday 6:40 pm on CBS

Listening to the radio yesterday on my way home from work, I believe it was FoxSports radio, they had a talking head (sorry cant remember who) predict the Chiefs to win 34-20. His reasoning made me laugh. It was because he thinks Mahomes is going to dice up the Bills because he's pissed that people think Allen should be ahead of him in the MVP race, an award that neither one of them will win. Well, Mahomes may be mad, but the entire Bills team is pissed because just about everyone is picking the Chiefs to win.
