So it could be argued they valued Hayden Hurst over Lamar and were willing to risk him to 6 other teams before they drafted him. 2. Maybe the Bills didn’t see him as a fit for the Buffalo weather. Lamar alluded to as such in his presser the other day. He has a decent arm, but not like Allen’s to cut through the wind. Allen played at windy, snowy, and cold Wyoming - similar to Buffalo.

Lamar Jackson is a unique talent for sure; but how much of his success is based on that offensive line. I mean, Mark Ingram is rattling of big chunks of yardage which only helps Lamar in the RPO. The key is being stout up the middle and DE/OLB discipline and containment. If Ingram can be mitigated by the interior D-Line and LBs, then the DE's can focus on keeping Lamar bottled up and forcing him to run within the hashmarks or pass. However, if the Ravens O-line gives Ingram lanes where can bust runs like Philly did, then it doesn't really matter how we try and stop Lamar. DEs or OLBs who are playing the edge, DO NOT CHASE THE RB IN THE RPO. That's what Lamar reads and once the DE commits to the RB, as they say "HE GONE!" This game will be won in the trenches in my opinion. If we can outperform the Ravens O-line, we have a good chance to win this game. If the Raven's O-line outperforms us, we don't have the firepower to keep up regardless of how well the offense may play.

1. We have to stop the run up the middle on the RPO. 2. DEs have to stay disciplined and not chase the RB or Lamar will keep it and take the edge. 3. DEs need to go after Lamar and touch him, even if he hands the ball off on the RPO. 4. DBs must win their individual battles. 5. Safeties must be aware of all TEs 6. Interior line and LBs fill their gaps, tackle, and strip the ball. In the beginning of the SF game, the DEs kept chasing the RB giving Lamar the edge. They adapted and kept Lamar pretty contained after. The SF interior line and LBs did a good job bottling up Ingram. In the Rams game two weeks ago, the Rams couldn’t stop Ingram up the middle, so they got throttled.

Exactly what I have been saying. It’s all about DE discipline and stuffing the middle. If the DE commits to the RB on the RPO you just gave Jackson the edge. Keep containment and pray your interior line and LBs plug the middle. DBs have to win their one on ones, and the safeties have to watch the TEs.

Arguably not, however how often to do you see teams passing at the end of the game to move the ball even though they know the game is over. Almost all the time.
