That's why you are an elementary school teacher, janitor, or whatever. You start building the team around him, and if he flames out in a few years, at least you have the infrastructure in place for the next QB. Continuously drafting QBs without improving the talent around you equates to Cleveland Browns type management.

I agree with this. Could be a combination of many things, especially with coaches continuously preaching being smart with the ball, and as a rookie not trying to make rookie mistakes which cost the team. I think coaching reinforcement that would encourage him to let the ball rip and it's okay if your trying to make a play. He plays too overly cautious and doesn't trust his line, WRs, or obviously himself. This needs to be coached out of him, by allowing for the mistakes to happen. This is the only way he will learn and how he will gain confidence as he will see he can make those throws. I truly believe Allen's struggles are more directly related to coaching than anything else and hopefully Anderson will be the right mentor and coach to him that he is not getting from the OC and QB coach.

NFL worried about Chargers viability in LA
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Before the Chargers moved, San Diego residents voted down a Hotel Tax which would have went up like three percentage points and would have paid for the city's contribution to the stadium and then some. The only tax San Diego residents would have paid is if they stayed in a hotel themselves. Approximately 15 plus years ago, the Chargers offered to pay for the entire new stadium themselves if the city would grant them the land Qualcomm sits on. The city council voted that down. Sad situation. -
What really irritates me is that when he on the sidelines, no one is there to talk to him and mentor him. Daboll is up top, the QB coach just sits there, and Peterman is nowhere to be found. Kid is literally there by himself, which makes you have to wonder the quality of coaching he is getting both during the game and at practice. Talk about being set up to fail.

Vontae Davis - Bills
-
Allen is playing okay, but is missing a lot of opportunities as well. That is to be expected. Progress will be measured by how well over the season he sees the field faster and understands where his hot reads are and begins to hit the receivers the announcers are illustrating. Game experience is key.

The Bills have a lot more problems than QB (Peterman or Allen). The O-Line is atrocious and can't max protect against a four man front, which allows the defense to maximize pass defense. The WRs are not good route runners and have stone hands. The pass-rush was suspect and the Ravens essentially moved the ball at will. This is primarily a coaching and GM failure with the lack of talent. The O-coordinator didn't adjust and make things easier. Just my opinion.

While still incomplete, wasn't as horrible a throw as made out to be. -

Did anyone notice on the bullet overthrow on the left sideline, that if the first receiver didn't hit the ball with his hand, the ball might have been a perfect strike to Benjamin? I wonder if that was his intended target? Maybe someone will have a clip of that throw? Just an observation.
