  1. I believe Russ is fixable but start with fixing the rest of the offense starting with the OL. Wilson has been sacked more than any other QB. Why would a sure HOF QB fall off the rails w/o other contributing factors ?
  2. Just as Beane relies on assistant GMs, scouts and consultants - so does Paton. I have no doubt Elway met Wilson a few times in person along with Seattle management to gauge their interest. Paton was probably along on those trips and ultimately made the final decision on whether to accept Seattle's proposal. 'Overseeing' might have been too strong a word in the article but Elway was definitely involved and assuredly was trying to atone from his previous mistakes as GM.
  3. Elway is listed as a consultant to the team - you don't have to be in charge to provide advice to the current GM. What position did Elway play ? You don't think it was a group decision to bring Wilson in and sell the farm ? And George Patton is not the GM of the Broncos ...
  4. After 6, Mitch should retire - he's made $50mil, has two young ones at home - not worth the added risk.
  5. Tua's rookie deal guaranteed him $30mil - even if he only kept half of it after taxes and agent cut, he should be set. And as someone else said, he might be a good fit in the one of the broadcasting booths.
  6. Tua comes off as an intelligent guy - after 3 concussions (that we know of), I would hope he would speak to those who have been down this road in the NFL and other sports to see what life after football might hold. No amount of $ is worth permanent damage to the brain and I'm sure he knows that. It's the competitor in him that will wake up one day, feel pretty good, and want to get back at it and the docs just might let him. Then #4 comes and maybe #5 ... Hang it up Tua while you can - don't end like Kuechly, Chris Pronger or worse, Steve Montador.
  7. Right ... Texans should have beaten the Chiefs which would have been crazier.
  8. Nice idea but the Chiefs play the Wilsonettes ...
  9. Neither has Gabe Davis
  10. This place might work if you don't mind I-95 for about 45 ... https://www.facebook.com/people/South-Florida-Bills-Backers/100029363217048/

  12. Weather reports leading up to '77 didn't have it anywhere near as bad as it turned out. But all we had was local news back then. Roommate and I shoveled out my car and we drove down Elmwood looking for food - were stopped by BPD who told us there was a driving ban. Instead of a ticket, he told us what was open and after getting our food to turn it around, head home, and park it.
  13. They're not - ticket them and move on FFS.
  14. Why isn't Tua wearing some kond of neck protection ( roll ) that should prevent the whiplash like snapping of his head against the turf ? Also beyond me as to how engineers haven't come up with a helmet with better shock/head protection than the standard Riddell he's wearing.
  15. Guaranteed everyone else did not follow the ban nor was it enforced everywhere. Give the entire team/staff/media a ticket and move on.
  16. Wut ? For whom ? The entire team/staff plus the media that traveled with the Bills ?
  17. Not a doctor, but one of the symptoms of concussions is bad depth perception which could explain the 3 INTs in the 4th quarter.
  18. Knowing a major storm was coming and a driving ban was likely, "Michael Thomas" could have left to see his relatives on Thursday like the Bills did leaving for Chicago.
  19. No doubt some of the dipshits railing on the Bills were out driving themselves.
  20. Agreed, it appeared that he spun around in the tackle and landed on his back. The fact he played the rest of the game, did a press conference afterwards, and then had symptoms today is concerning for his long-term health.
  21. If the Pats beat the Fins and lose to us and the Jets win both games, the Jets are in.
  22. Jets could easily end up the 7th seed if they beat Seattle and then put it on Tua and the Fins. Pats ain't winning in Buff.
  23. https://twsn.net/2022/12/john-elway-russell-wilson-and-nathaniel-hackett-should-be-all-be-done-in-denver In section #2 ... "Elway would oversee a deal that saw quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, 2021 sacks leader Shelby Harris, two first-round, two second-round, and a fifth-round draft pick go to Seattle."
  24. May Elway have eternal nightmares for picking Chubb over Josh
  25. Let's not get too excited about Baker - he beat a bad Vegas team and a horrible, demoralized Broncos team. IMO, he will be moving on.
