  1. No we have to trade up to keep our opponents from getting him. On a more serious note (almost). Knowing our luck Phins take him, Tanne gets hurt in year 2 and we aquire him for a first and.... Be on the lookout this would be the perfect thread for a peter pan sighting. This is the year the starter gets hurt and our Dynasty begins.
  2. Lets take him in the 7th not rated quit as good as Brady, but maybe he can sell his soul as well. needs to be groomed behind an NFL starter for a couple decades to prepare to be the guy. For the practice squad.
  3. But by the grace of God there go I. Deserve? I guess he got back up and tried life again in spite of all the people like you guys. That apparently made at most only one mistake and immediately corrected it. I guess me and Johnny are all alone in that regard.
  4. I said in College football not at the combine or proday. It was in real games. If you didn't already know that then you haven't actually researched anything. The arm strength issue you can see an occasional duck thrown up. But i haven't seen it enough to worry me. He's accurate.
  5. I understand it completely and don't agree with you. I feel the way I feel for a reason. I have my beliefs and you have yours. We don't have to agree. But it's called empathy if your interested. I'm not condoning anything I'm just walking in his shoes for a minute.
  6. No you don't want to give him credit. Those players were scouted well before the draft. Why do you think the entire staff was eliminated. They were Whaley's guys, unless you think McDermott scouted everyone himself. Beane and McDermott even acknowledge it. Whaley's team did the research and graded the players. And 2016, 2015, 2014 If you want to do it like that 2013-Robert Woods, Kiko Alonso, Marquise Goodwin, Dustin Hopkins I stated the bold above so I already know it was a fact as well as the fact he also wanted Watson. Keep your blinders on Bud wouldn't want your opinion to change that might mean you were wrong. Researching this for a second time has me feeling Nix was a better GM than I had felt before. I learned to acknowledge the fact that player development falls on the coach.
  7. Yup I was young and dumb once as well. He is just a kid. Are you perfect or just enjoy throwing stones. You understand the pressure he was probably under in his youth.
  8. Doug Whaley's Notable draft picks 2017-*Tre White, Zay Jones, *Dion Dawkins, *Matt Millano, Tanner Vallejo 2016-Reggie Ragland, Adolphus Washington, Jonathan Williams, (Shaq Lawson?) 2015-*Ronald Darby, John Miller, Nick O'Leary 2014-Sammy Watkins(Gonna shut a lot of mouths this year), Preston Brown, Ross Cockrell, Seantrel Henderson 2013-I Credit to Nix *A steal for Draft slot Analysis based on slot and whether they had any success accordingly. GMs draft according to player potential if they reach that potential on another team then the GM was right and the coach couldn't get it done. Whaley had issues as a GM that I can't fully argue against but I don't think he got to pick his coach and I think he finally found his QB and got over-ruled. I truely believe we would have been better sooner with Whaley/Lynn/Whisenhunt/Bradly/Trubisky or Watson, but I am happy with the current situation even if it takes an extra year.
  9. Sorry I'm a maintenance tech. I'm getting my market value or I'm going fishing. I'm sure as heck not going to Canada. Who are you to say whether someone should be willing to relocate to another country if they don't feel the money is right. I suppose Tebow is a bad person as well in your mind. We will draft Lamar Jackson for that.
  10. I don't know that we ever had a great GM but we have had some good ones that is why we end up stuck in QB purgatory. Whaley could find everything but the QB. Not horrible. Just Decent. If Whaley found a QB and Didn't run off Marone Some of his players would have been key along with Whaley's moves. (If the new Regime gets a QB then Some of his picks will be key). But in order to be consistently in SB contention you need a QB. You can be in playoff contention every year with an average QB and good roster as long as your Coaching staff is competent. (Not Rex Although I am ashamed to admit it I will, I was a Rex Ryan guy and in case you are concerned therapy is going well.) Bad GMs pick Top 5 every year. For the record I don't think EJ or Tyrod were Whaley's guys or they would not have been benched but he was solely in charge with Tyrod. So I give Nix all the credit for EJ and Rex/Whaley credit for Tyrod. I think someone other than Rex is coach and we make the playoffs off of both Nix and Whaley but the QB is Rex so I don't know. Ralph Meddled an awful lot. I can't call a GM good if he doesn't get at least a decent QB but I have often wondered if Ralph didn't want to pay Bradford Type money on a draft pick. Why did none of these GMs post Free agency ever try to draft a QB high in the draft.
  11. No. EJ Manuel. Enuff said in the first round after getting robbed by the Rams. Terrible returns on his trades.
  12. Why not? They were not the only ones in that confo Was the pay not enough maybe
  13. If I was the Jets I would trade the 3rd overall to Buffalo for 12,22,53,65, 2018 1st, 3rd, and then trade 12, 53, 65 for 6th overall. =6, 22, 2018 1st and 3rd.
  14. Davis Dimarco Tolbert and Holmes. If we cut 3 of them we would have got a 3rd and 4th.
  15. Clearing Cap room for Manziel signing.
  16. At the end someone needs to powerbomb him through a table. I'm sure someone will volunteer. not willing to lodge items where they don't belong and sing though huh.
  17. I think it's possible someone has already done it. Someone may have drank beer out of it afterwards Best deep ball in college football. Does need to build arm strength over time.
  18. Get your Vaseline ready. TMI
  19. Someone posted statistics about how the QBs performed against Top 30 Defenses and Mayfield and Rudolph played the best by far. Although it was flawed it got me to start researching Rudolph and I like what I see.
  20. If 32 professional NFL GMs were wrong about Brady I think it is possible you are wrong about Rudolph. Maybe that is what the poster is trying to say. They are saying it isn't a reach not that it's ok to reach.
  21. 7th best on who's board. I think they would. If they decided they liked 2 ILBs and traded down from 12 I would fear for there lives and this board would be a rough place to be for a while. That could get them ammo to move up from 22 without giving up anything. But I do believe there is at least one QB they would trade up for from 12.
  22. Wouldn't surprise me. He reminds me of Brady and we run the same offense as NE now. If I am not crazy they might see the same thing or they and I are both crazy.
  23. I Have gone back and it is pretty impressive aside from QB which could be argued was Nix pick. I'm not a closed minded individual and I'm not to proud to risk getting proven wrong.
  24. Reality is if we signed him he would have got hurt. Now he will make the Pro Bowl.
