I honestly believe they are both better than Tyrod. Which means both are starting caliber. After the last game I have concerns over our Oline and believe we would be fine with either starting. I'd like to see Allen play against ones.

Different erra. Tom Brady doesn't last a whole season back then. All of the big three and Montana are better than Brady and Manning. Jerry Rice would have had 40000 yards under these rules. Dan Marino is the GOAT period. Makes me sick saying that. Not as sick as Brady, especially since Brady isn't the GOAT. This game won't be recognizable in 10 years.

Peterman has played terrible if you ask some of the bias folk on this board. He apparently has thrown 6 INTs in a game this preseason oh wait that was last year in his very first start of his rookie season. He's looked good which has me excited that we may have two viable starters. I agree that they got Tyrod outa here because he was too popular with the players. No one would have had a chance without dividing the locker room. I don't agree with the notion that they will just hand Allen the job.

McDermott has made it clear as has Beane whatever players they feel give the team the best chance to win will be the ones that play period. One game dude. In his rookie season. He looked great playing against there 2s with our ones. Slow down people. I want to see him play great with our 1s against their 1s. Although I am hopeful he could beat their 1s with our 2s and that may very well be what the future holds. Slow down though you have JA fever.

No he's light years ahead. I viewed him as the 2nd Best behind Mayfield. Now I see why he was viewed by the front office as the #1 QB. Part of worries about his confidence getting damaged while another part of me thinks it can't be. That is an it factor that both he and Peterman seem to have. Peterman doesn't have the physical tools that Allen has but he does have the it factor. He will be a top shelf backup for us (or some good trade bait) for a few years and then he will start elsewhere. If Allen is ready then that's awesome. If not, Peterman is clearly ready and improved. A lot of you can't see what's right in front of your face because your busy looking at game tape from a single game last year. Guess what. Sometimes rookies have really bad games but the way they respond to that adversity is far more important than their first ever start in the NFL their rookie season.

Tyrod passed for 22 yards. If you want to read what I'm saying I didn't say I don't want him to start. I was all for Allen when most said he was the worst QB in the draft. I want to see him with the starters in the first quarter next week but I'm not anointing him the starter. It's a competition he has to win it. Which means he has to play well 1st team against 1st team. Not 1st team against backups. I'm not as foolish as others. It seems the professional coaches agree with me. Slow down dude.

No argument here. Allen has better tools and has played very well against third team players and played well against 2nd team players while benefiting from having 1st team players in his huddle. Show me first team against first team.

Like it or not Peterman has played well. Both on the third team and 1st team. That means he played well against the other teams starters. I want to see Allen against another teams starters. You all need to forget about 1 game last year. If Allen maintains I his level of play against 1st team players then we may have a Kelly and Reich type situation. FINALLY

I didn't get to watch the game but by the stat line it looks like Peterman played well.
