Rebuilding your offense from the inside out
formerlyofCtown replied to WideNine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we get 2 Oline. If he is available I think we will take a shot at Paradise. Our line may not be as bad as we think. Its very important for your Oline to play together. If you have to many new starters you could end up struggling early in the season. Absolutely, then we can go 6-10 next season as well.? -
Maybe hes an addict or a former addict. As long as an individual is allowed to tell themself that it is out of their controll such as is the case with a disease then they will continue to be an addict. Now people with mental and emotional issues can tend to be impulsive and that is a mental illness but addiction is just a hard cycle of choices to escape.

2018 QB Class Future Projections
formerlyofCtown replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Elway had a cannon for an arm and was a bigger QB that was exstremely mobile for his size. Baker is exstremely accurate and does have a strong arm but cant make the throws that Elway could make. Allen can and has made those throws. Dont get me wrong, Mayfield is destined for greatness but he reminds me more of a Steve Young type. Maybe Montana. He is missing the Howitzer on his shoulder. -

Your Allen analysis sounds kinda like Elway. Allen has the highest ceiling I have ever seen as well. It is insane for a QB to have that kind of arm talent and be that mobile. Every team in the AFC is praying he never reaches his potential. Not a playing style comparison or anything but Allen, Mahomes, Mayfield and Trebinsky may be the new Brady, Manning, Brees and Roethlesburger -

Mayfield/Steve Young or Brees I can see hes nothing like Elway. There is a reason Allen is compared to Elway. Lamar Jackson-Randle Cunningham maybe. What your basically doing saying is Steve Kerr is the same player as Michael Jordan and The Jolley Green Giant is a similar character to the Leoprocan for Lucky charms. -
Boselli was one of the greatest LTs ever He was the first of the non fat guys from my memory. He could actually handle Bruce part of that was because he could hold without the Refs seeing it with the best of them but still.

What? You dont think Jimmy Johnson is HOF worthy. Tony Dungy is in the HOF. No to Steve Atwater?

Where does everyone stand on this lost season?

I stand in the place where it's not a lost season. It was a productive season toward a rebuild. We discovered some diamonds in the rough and a lot of players got a chance they may not have gotten to gain experience. In other years we may have cut Foster and not picked up McKenzie. Our rookie QB has gained a lot of experience. I also have a more positive outlook on the future than when we made the playoffs with TT. -

I completely disagree. The SB is a team accomplishment. Could you put the GOAT on a bad team and win SBs. I think not. Could you put any of the three I mentioned on Great teams and win one. History proves it. -

I was half asleep on my post thank you for following up. Hes 5th in his peer group in TD:INT ratio was what I was trying to say. 27th alltime and guess what era the majority of guys ahead of him played in, You think maybe theres a corolation MJS. Thanks Boatdrinks. Its nice to see someone willing to dig deeper as I am getting exhausted will trying to explain the difference in the two eras to those who arnt so willing. Although sometimes I proove myself wrong at least I end up with a good understanding of whos who in sports history -
Brandon Beane deserves to be fired tomorrow
formerlyofCtown replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And what will you say when we are competing for championships in the next couple years? I am also glad youre ok with not blaming him for a Bills draft that took place while he was in Carolina, that is very considerate of you. It must take a lot of consideration for you not to blame Hitler for WWI as well. -

Once again hes 5 out of his generation. Stop comparing him to the pampered QBs. I have a serious question for you 2 actually. How old are you? How long have you been a serious follower of the NFL? -

Joe Flacco won a superbowl as did Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams I guess those are 3 of the all-time greats there. -

They all did. WRs and QBs were not protected like they are today. Wes Welker and Edelman would not have lasted back then. They would have gotten clobbered over the middle. -

And then Pittsburgh grabbed Roethlesburger out from under us. Maybe we should view them with the same disdain we Have for NE. -

Welcome to humanity. Where hypocracy reigns supreme. To be honest if Brady was a Bill I might even argue hes the GOAT but probably not considering that I dont call Jimbo the GOAT.
