Look what the Pats Oline coach did for years with what ever homeless person they found on the streets of Boston. -

Allen seems to be developing well. What makes you say that other than his past experience as a WR coach. I care about the present and the results not the past. -

Is Robbie Anderson worth a second rounder.
formerlyofCtown replied to formerlyofCtown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because WR usually take 2 to 3 years to develope. Anderson is already looking good. I am concerned about drops but I havnt been able to find any reliable data. I dont recall seeing an issue with it when I watched him but it was an issue in college. -

Please dont quote him in my thread. I have him blocked and you are wasting your time arguing with him. You could show him a picture of a red apple and he would insist that its green. Im hoping with a new coaching staff they would they would be less inclined to tender him higher or match. But I did think of that and it is why I specified 2nd. -

He is a RFA. -
If the Jets tender WR Robby Anderson at a 2nd round rate should we make an offer. We would likely have to pay him well but may get away with it given their coaching search. He is a talker WR and I like what Ive seen from him. Really would feel like a Pats move huh. Guess I need to clarify that he is a RFA.

Hey that TE layed the wood on the opponent last game. -
Yup they have some really good Olines on those teams. They will be contenders as long as they dont do anything like trade the 9th overall pick straight up for a 29 year old WR. If we still had a healthy and productive Cogs and Wood on this team. I would say go for it straight up. But our Oline is priority #1.

Buffalo needs a complete rebuild on Offense
formerlyofCtown replied to Socal-805's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree on most of your points. I think young it a better description of our WR group. Zay wont just be fine he will be really good next season you can quote me on that. Fix the line and you fix a lot of the offense, you acknowledge how bad the line is but you apparently dont think the Oline affects the running game. Dont get me wrong though I believe we should take a RB in the 3rd or 4th, maybe trade back up into round 2 if one is worth it. Shady is still fast just not as shifty. He was clocked at over 20 MPH on one of his TDs this season. I wouldnt cut any of them. Let em compete. -
The better question would be how confident are you that we need 3 starting caliber Olinemen, RB, WR, DT, DE, Another TE, LB to replace Zo when he retires. Julio doesn't make up for that. I want a dynast not a 3 year playoff stint where we can't quite get to the big game. I am quite confident that guy may contribute for the next 10 years.
-
I would swap picks and a 3rd for Julio but Im not giving up the 9th overall pick for a WR in that age group. I would probably give up a Second in a pick swap. A top 10 pick is very valuable. We got Two 1st the last time we traded it IIRC. He is 29 years old. If we were 1 Julio Jones away from being a SB contender I would do it straight up.

He did that with AB lined up opposite. Someday you guys will understand stats dont tell the whole story. Take a look at Price's stats lined up with Moulds and then check him out for the rest of his career. Teams are not game planning to stop JuJu they are trying to stop AB and still cant. As far as your last statement, That very fact makes my point its very important to the arguement. LOL I love how some of you like to dismiss anything that proves you wrong.

Bills Should Be Judicious in Free Agency
formerlyofCtown replied to racketmaster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He isnt abad DT he is doing what he is supposed to do but you would actually have to know about football to understand that.
