We have no choice. We must average I believe 89% of the cap spent and we are behind for the past few seasons. I bet we spend 50 mil. We just wont spend that 50 mil stupidly. It will be on players that carry a lunchpal.

Why not Eric Weddle for a year?
formerlyofCtown replied to Seasons1992's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because we dont need him. We have the #1 pass D in the NFL due to one of the best secondaries in the NFL. The only position we need is a hybrid S. Which he does not fit the bill for. You may see us grab another LB and use Milano in that role. We have the number 1 pass D in the NFL. He also has other stats as well as Ints. 100 tackles, 2 sacks.... -
Giants letting Landon Collins walk

That is what Collins will get. Poyer didnt play at the level he has in Buf. Before he came here. So youre making an irrelevant statement. Also, what do offenses do in the NFL? They pass the ball. Collins would be too expensive to be the Hybrid Safety in the big nickel. -
Jordan Phillips is trying to recruit players.

Yes maybe he is telling him about what its like working for the same team as McDermott, Beane and Dorsey...Oh wait never mind? -

Yes Poyer and his 100 tackles. 9 Ints the last teo years. Collins has 8 for his entire career. Poyers 2 sacks. All around would require passrush and cover skills. You bring up one thing that in your opinion Collins does better. Poyer does everything else better but you say Collins is better all around. You just lost any credibility. If Collins was what some of you are making him out to be, then the Giants would not be letting him go anywhere. -

I think you better compare the stat lines and look again. The massive upgrade is in name recognition only. Poyer should have made the Probowl the last 2 years, not Collins. -

The added production for the price difference isnt worth it in my opinion. -
Article for those obsessing about Metcalf

Well you were wrong about Allen.? Foster also runs routes well. -
There has already been an article on this so Im not gonna break it all down but we have One significant contract. We must also hit our three year average for cap space this season. Also we had a top ten scoring D when Tyrod was here but our D sucked. You need to tend to both. I am sorry but your arguement is not a good or accurate one. I am also only on board with it, if it makes a significant difference. You really need to consider the fact that Zo will retire at the end of this season. You dont just aquire players with this season in mind or all contract would be for 1 year.
-
True. It would be good for the future and keep Zo rested. Why not do both. You act like we have 4 picks and are tight against the Cap. If a player isnt gonna ride the pine then Im all for it.

Little talked about option for Bills at 9: Brian Burns

Hughes is one of the best Passrushers in the NFL. Dont be surprised if he gets an extension. Get a penetrating DT and some of those pressures turn into sacks at both DE spots. I really would like that pick. We could actually move him around to exploit weaknesses on the other teams OL. -
Who? If Im not mistaken Zo was excellent in coverage last year and one of the top graded LBs.

Renfrow is a guy I really like. Dude catches everything despite smaller hands than you would like.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. OL and TE will be addressed in FA. IF an OL is on the board as BPA they may do it. But premium OL are cheaper than premium DTs in FA. As a matter of fact they dont cost much more than good DTs. Draft is the way to go for DT or maybe DE but I'm pretty sure it will be a DT. They may take a high risk and grab Metcalf tho. -

Do you know what Carolina's draft history is concerning DL. They will likely take a DT if they go DL. -

Aaron Maybin. Our issues were not on the edge. We need a 3 Tech DT. Now if we could get a beast of a DE Id take it. But I want a Doberman, not a min-pin who soaked himself in water to look bigger. -

There are some really good backs in the draft. So I would do it for a 5th but not more. -
Who would you take, D. K. or T. J.?
formerlyofCtown replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I had to choose it would be Metcalf. He has serious potential, but could end up not working out to be top 10 worthy. It would be a High risk/reward pick. Hockenson is going tobe good but I dont know that you would have to use the 9th overall pick to get him I know I wouldnt. -
Grabbing double TEs in FA could help offset the OL.
formerlyofCtown replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he means you cant find your WR because you dont have time behind a terrible OL.
