KR/WR Andre Roberts (Jets) to Bills
RocCityRoller replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
4) How many times have botched and fumbled KR/PR cost teams games? I'd pay him this just to not mess up, which our returners could not do. I'd rather have Roberts take a potential shot than Hyde. -
correct, Lofton was still fast, and fought for contested passes Nelson looked close to done last year. I like the person but not the player.

I don't want Carr to get injured or go through what his brother did, but I would pay to see AB 'working with' Peterman

damned right Beane!

What if Rosen Ends Up In Miami?

We should ask David Carr.... yikes... his first year or two in Houston were brutal. -

I disagree with you. It is a 3 phase game, and Buffalo just got one of the best in one of the phases. Shorten the field for the QB when possible. Flip the field on possession when possible to help the Defense. If more WR come through the draft then all the better, more COMPETITION and a better team. Good move IMO PS pleased SU won last night without T Battle, good win. -
What if Rosen Ends Up In Miami?
RocCityRoller replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny over half this board used to be pro-Rosen. More than half I recall. We drafted the 'wrong Josh' I posted a lot of anti-Rosen stuff pre-2018 draft and got flamed hard.... I wanted Mayfield or Rudolph. I wrote impassioned stuff about Mayfield and was flamed. He looks good now doesn't he? Now when I propose Rosen to Miami for ratings and a Miami rebuild no one shows up? Where are all of the Rosen supporters? TBD is funny. Rosen did have a better statistical year than Allen, and he may become a Dolphin. But no discourse. Rosen to Miami, meh.... It may very well happen. -
Darrell Henderson, RB, Memphis. Best RB Prospect.

What if Rosen Ends Up In Miami?
RocCityRoller replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know where to begin with this post. The NFL is always looking to highlight QB vs QB battles. The 2018 draft was replete with 4-5 potential high end QB prospects. They were Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen and Jackson. Best QB class in a decade or more. All had moments of brilliance and also rookie lows. The NFL is more than hungry to show these young guns play each other. It is a ratings bonanza especially year 2 and 3 when the teams build around them. If it so happens that three of them are battling it out in the same division, they will highlight that division. Imagine if that was on the East Coast? Hence I noted that Rosen to the Dolphins is possible if not probable. This is common sense. I'd take Rosen over Tua any day of the week. -

Target 4 positions of need and take BPA. That could be TE, DL, OL, WR, RB This is a deep DL/WR/TE draft. None of the new contracts are long term. They are all front loaded. The Bills can walk from any of them and not be hurt except Morse and Beasely. These guys are space fillers until draft picks or the occasional FA pans out. Backfill OL, WR, DL, Edge now. TE is an obvious need. I understand the 'process' more now and like it. Imagine if Miami gets Rosen, a distinct possibility. -
What if Rosen Ends Up In Miami?

Yes, but look bigger. Rosen, Darnold and Allen battling it out for the next decade in the same division every week is an NFL ratings bonanza. NYC, Miami and WNY/Toronto is huge ratings and penetration to replace the Pats and New England ratings. It's too easy. Rosen to Miami, is my off season lock. It's too easy. -

That is my point. The NFL needs the East coast to be relevant. 3 of the best young QBs in one division creates amazing drama as heir to Brady. Rosen to Miami is a lock. -

The point that is missing is that the AFC East could have 3 of the best 4 QBs in the 2018 class in one division. All of the 'wrong Josh' haters can see J Rosen up close and personal while the Dolphins rebuild a year behind Buffalo and the Jets. Darnold is there at the Jets, and they are building too. Being in NYC they need to make the 'big splash' signings like Bell, Osemele and Mosely. Then you have the Bills with Allen and our mid level pickups, instead of 3 big splashes, the Bills puddle jump 9 or 10 FA and hope to stick half of them A fascinating experiment in team building in one division, with super young QBs is about to unfold in the division seeking to disthrone the NE dynasty with 2 or maybe 3 of the best young QBs to come out in a long time. Mimami trading for Josh Rosen makes sense and makes the division must see TV, That is good for the Buffalo Bills. -

RB is a 3-4 round pick. TE is a need at late 1st round. Plenty available and can get a D F 7 or OL. -

play well or move on -
It's all too possible. AZ looking at Murray. Miami needs a QB. Miami has enough to do it. Darnold, Rosen and Allen in the AFC East? Woah! The Jets have had a great off-season. The Bills have been solid. The Dolphins could go Rosen as the big splash, why not? Then Brady. AFC East football becomes must watch football on the east coast. (Boston, NYC, Miami and Buffalo/WNY). legitimate ratings boost this will happen
-
I understand the OP Sentiment, and agree. Miami, NY and Buffalo are fighting an ogre in New England. The enemy of my enemy is a friend. Let's go crazy with it all. What if AZ is open to a trade for Josh Rosen? What if that trade is to Miami?!?! Miami needs a young QB. They are moving on from Tannehill and they choose to go to Rosen? The AFC East would be: Patriots: Brady Jets: Darnold Bills: Allen Dolphins: Rosen How amazing would that be? I'm feeling: Jets Bills Dolphins Pats in only a year or two Don't sleep on the Dolphins going for Rosen.

First round pics are effectively locked in for 5 years. They have 4 year contracts plus a 5th year option to the team drafting them. 2nd round and after are 3 year contracts, with only the tag as an option. It makes sense to move up to the mid-late 1st round territory if possible. In the Bills situation trade down from 9 to say 18, and then pair up 2nds or a 2nd and 3rd to get back into the first at 25-32. 2 picks on 4-5 yr contracts, instead of one. -
