  1. Exactly the point, the offense does not need to change. We would expect a 1st round pick to run it better but get a 'poor man's version' to run the same offense. I love that T Jackson has the chance to prove it
  2. The point is Buffalo picked up a young QB prospect with a similar skill set to JA. He is mobile, he has a big arm and nice touch deep. He is even a similar size. If you can coach him up you can put him in as a JA backup and not change the offense much. It's a smart gamble.
  3. Said it before, I'll say it again. He is a taller, faster Edeleman. And I agree, I don't understand how he was not drafted.
  4. Then we agree 4 good DE/Edge players taken within the next 32 picks. After that Buffalo would have had 2 4ths to pick up help at RB/TE/LB/S Buffalo took LB in the 5th S in the 6th leaving 2 4th round picks to get a RB and TE, after adding a true DE/Edge prospect
  5. This is why I didn't like our 3rd round. Too many good DE/Edge players left. It really has nothing to do with D Singletary or the RB need. It's clear to anyone who knows football that DE/Edge is a need this year, that 4 guys in those positions were picked within 20-30 picks of this pick and that RB wasn't a need here. Trading back to the 3rd and taking a development TE didn't help.
  6. No, I want Barkley to hold down the backup spot. But I also want a young QB with a similar skill set to my starter to develop as the clear backup so I don't have to retool my offense if my QB goes down. Tyree Jackson fits that bill. He also has no culture shock coming to Buffalo, and should have a supportive fan base around him. I don't want DA on the field in any situation if possible. If my choice is Tyree Jackson or Derek Anderson, I go with Tyree. I would like DA as my QB quality control coach.
  7. Bills added some depth at LB. The current LB depth was weak - it wasn't a high priority, but was addressed by guys that produced at their level IMO LB V. Joseph (6'1" 230) is Milano's (6'0" 220) new backup, emergency MLB EDGE D. Johnson (6'6" 253) is Alexander's (6'0" 270) new backup, potential MLB backup UDFA LB J. Foggie (6'1" 234) is insurance at Will in case Milano needs time to recover and can compete with V Joseph Good to have depth
  8. I said the same thing, add Milano to that list.
  9. Sills looks a lot like Julian Edelman, a converted QB that produces. Look at his film, his adjustments, ball tracking, speed its all there
  10. How about getting the Iowa TE coach or OC here since someone there knows what they are doing? Kittle, Hockenson, Fant let's get someone with a history of developing TEs in a room that has potential but needs help? Croom/Kroft/Knox there is some ability there to coach.
  11. Good luck Anthony Johnson! Out of the conference and division I can pull for him all the way
  12. Add - LB Tyrell Dodson - Texas A&M per https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/2019-nfl-draft-undrafted-free-agency-tracker
  13. Looking at Milano, Johnson and Foggie - Buffalo has a 'type' at OLB
  14. How did David Sills not get drafted? His adjustments and ability to track the ball are remarkable.
  15. AWESOME! Tyree Jackson and David Sills.... nice!
  16. I still don't like Buffalo's third round. This is what reaching smells like. I have no problems with D Singletary as a player, I hope he does well and makes me eat crow his whole career. I have no problems with OBD drafting a RB in the mid rounds. I just don't like this pick in this position given what other players were available. Specifically: Edge: Jaylon Ferguson (my favorite of this bunch) EDGE: Chase Winovich DE/Edge: Maxx Crosby DE: Anthony Nelson TE: Jace Sternberger S: Will Harris S: Mike Edwards G: Conner McGovern G: Ben Powers G: Phil Haynes LB: Bobby Okerke WR: Hakeem Butler all positions of need taken in 3-4 after this pick Plenty of good RB option taken later too, run on RBs didn't happen until late 3rd to 4th. Damien Harris Bryce Love Justice Hill Dexter Williams Ryquell Armstead Those were mostly guys in the 3-4th round range. This pick and Dawsn Knox.... a lot of value left for an undersized and slow guy, and a development guy. I hope I am wrong
  17. I think he has a chance to supplant Anderson. Jackson has a nice deep pass and is mobile. Sounds like the type of QB that could back up a QB in an offense designed to showcase a QB with a big arm and is mobile.
  18. Not much behind S or CB? very deep at CB only Bush at S that's why I like that they addressed S
  19. My List LB - TeVon Coney - Notre Dame Edge - Jordan Brailford - OK State WR - Anthony Johnson - UB WR - David Sills - West Va OG - Beau Benzschawel - Wisconsin OT - Tyler Roemer - SD State QB - Tyree Jackson - UB CB - Saivion Smith - Alabama
  20. A whole bag? I'm usually full after 1 or 2!
  21. It's nice to be 3/6 deep at CB White Gaines Wallace all real NFL capable starters T Johnson K Johnson L Pitts all with NFL potential and playing time in real games I expect a CB in UDFA since one wasn't selected! I guess getting K Johnson and EJ Gaines are the additions there. Good additions IMO
