  1. If he is healthy and and call out the OL protections this year, the Bills offense will make dramatic leaps forward. JA would only benefit from an OL that has its Sh!t together. I think he is a top 5 center the past 20 years, but he has to be healthy. I hope this injury gamble pays off better than Murphy and Kroft.
  2. He was my favorite new Buffalo Bill over the past couple of years, what a waste of talent.
  3. I've been a 5-11 to 6-10 guy the last two years. Barring a terrible injury this team has 8-8 to 10-6 written all over them It's going to be a fun ride to the end this season.
  4. Is it possible Josh Allen started making Jones, Foster and McKenzie look better by year end? Disagree but I see 7 WR Foster (Speed) Brown (Speed) Jones (Possession) Beasley (Possession) Roberts (Special Teams) McKenzie (Gadget) Sills/ Duke/ Ray Ray
  5. Prediction, Robert Foster is the clear #1 in Buffalo by year end. Think James Lofton. I think Buffalo sets packages depending on down and distance. No one is the '#1 WR' which is the way many teams are trending. Mid situations (10 yds) Foster and Zay outside, Beasley in the slot long situation (15 yds+ to first down) Brown and Foster on the outside, Jones or Beasley in the slot, catching RB like Yeldon in the backfield. Bad situation (20+ yds) 4 WR, Jones and Brown outside, Jones and Beasley in the slots, HOF RB in the backfield I formation Brown or Foster outside, Jones on the other, HOF RB in the backfield Injury to Brown? Jones outside, Beasley slot Injury to Foster? Jones outside, Beasley slot Injury to Jones? Brown and Foster outside, Beasley slot Injury to Beasley, Brown and Foster outside, Jones in slot win, win, win, win A huge improvement and depth to WR. McDermott has already said, many times, he does not want a '#1' who needs to be fed. As a DC this makes sense. If there is a clear #1 it is easy to try to game plan for that #1 (not easy to shut down unless you have Tre White ) If there are 3-4 capable WR and no one that need to be fed, who do you try to close down? In this case the goal is disrupting the QB, but JA can run, and proved it. Take away JA's 1+2 read and he scrambles. Buffalo is not allowing a #1 WR to key on, but will line up 2-4 capable WR every play. Without a single WR to key on, the key is JA, and JA can do damage in that situation. It's a DC controlling offense by doing what DCs fear the most. Throwing waves of situation dependent formations and WR depth with 4 x 500-1k WRs. They are at least 4 deep in 500-1k WRs. Two long bomb targets to emphasize JA's strength and 2 slot guys. Two of them can play inside out (Jones and Brown) Then we have wild cards in McKenzie, Duke, Roberts and Sills. Add in pass catching RB TJ Yeldon, and 2 HOF RBs in Gore and Shady. I see 7 WR on this team, with Daboll being able to mix up packages based on the situation. There is no AB, or Julio Jones etc that needs to be fed every down. spread em out, and pick your poison, kind of like GB and New England do The key now is Josh Allen.
  6. Well this is an anti-stadium take... Let's keep old stuff because.... Folks it's time to move on from Rich/Ralph/New Era. As a Rochestarian, I say grab the money. Rochester is a 1+ million metro that can not attract major acts because of it's antiquated arena. The War Memorial/ Blue Cross arena is cooked as a major attraction location. As jealous as I would be to see a new $1b arena in Buffalo, I want the Buffalo Bills to have the best facilities possible.
  7. poor guy, not even a pre-season game and and some Zitter nerd is calling him a bust. If you can find a 5-10 yr starter at any OL position in the second round that is a win IMO, and this OL needed as many 'wins' as it could find this offseason on the OL. I don't think this line is all pro, but wow did they try to address and improve on it. JA, Shady, Gore and the like must all be happy to see this in progress. May the best 5 win, and if an injury happens next man up.
  8. This is big picture thinking. I have a feeling the Pegulas are getting the squeeze from higher up. Buffalo doesn't need to add itself to a list that includes San Diego, Saint Louis and Oakland
  9. you said 'playing with hoses sounds like fun' LOL!!! you too???
  10. As charitable as they are, there are people laying low and very well off.
  11. go to Lundy's Lane.... that will help keep the rookies home TY Sundowners for the best lap dances ever.
  12. Not cool. Never wish harm on anyone. When you do that, karma has a way of coming home.
  13. I see him on the PS, wish him well I like his college production and the fact he was a QB. Happy the Bills got him in UDFA.
  14. Believe it or not he hit 4 last year. I see 6-8 this year, if healthy that is the big if Ziggy is washed up, and has a lot more issues IMO.
  15. 10 sack a year DEs don't get paid only 7-9 million a year. Demarcus Lawrence has exactly 2 years of 10+ sack production out of 5 years and got 5 yrs, 105 million and 65 million guaranteed. Trent Murphy had one year of 9.0 sack production in three years and got 3 years and 21 million. It is in line. We agree, chasing players with significant injury histories and one or two years of production is not ideal. But making it sound like the Bills 'broke the bank' on this guy is equally ridiculous. He is a 'roll the dice' type of player. The Bills had more money than FAs willing to sign the year the deal was made. They still have @ $50 million next year. A team has to spend to a minimum, so why not roll the dice. I'm not a fan of the signing, but I understand why it was done, and I wish him well this year. Common Core obviously....
  16. that is sunk money, it's gone he looked fine when available last year I'm not a fan of signing players with an injury history. (Kroft, Murphy etc) but tell the facts. Pulling numbers out of thin air is for amateurs. Trent Murphy was signed to a mid level DE contract. Trent Murphy failed in year one relative to his pay. He was also coming off of a bad injury. Trent Murphy's cap hit is 6.5 should Buffalo cut him, it's 8.7 million should they keep him. What do you think DEs that can get 6-10 sacks a year go for? He needs to be better this year. If in camp he can not, cut him, or sit him on IR, pay him this year, free up space and bring in the next man up. I wanted Winovich or Fergusen bad in the draft for just this reason. I'm no Murphy fan boy, but he looked good when available, and is not breaking the bank.
  17. Wow.... https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/ Trent Murphy's total cap hit is 8.7 million. Dead cap is 6.5 million. How do you inflate it to 11 million? Do you work for CNN?
  18. I saw what I needed to in the last 6 games. The Miami game showed me everything I need to know. came out, in command, ran when the opportunity was there, passed when Jones or Foster were open. Few mistakes. Had the drive to put a beat down on a team that wanted no part of that game. Killer instinct. JA is legit IMO. He made Foster and Jones better. Got into a rhythm with them. Add Smokey Brown and Beasley to the mix. Potential at TE. Very excited for year 2, with a few new WR, TE and an improved OL. D should be stout and even better. Bills 8-8 to 10-6.
  19. I work in the Philanthropic center for a well known WNY college and Medical Center. In my role I write queries and code accessing our entire gift database daily, and help turn data into reports. Without giving away personal details I can vouch that 50k is by no means a 'massive gift' You would be surprised how many very wealthy people still call the Thruway cities home or partial home, and how strong they feel about helping our medical institutions and colleges/ universities. It's a generous gift by Gronk, and is appreciated, but it is by no means 'massive'
  20. In the opener vs San Diego last year I paid a lot of attention to him, because I was skeptical. I thought he had a good game. A few tackles, a stuff, a pressure or two. He showed a nice complimentary quickness off the edge to Hughes. I don't know if I buy in, but he has the ability. Unfortunately he rarely has the most important ability, availability. Wishing him well this year. It would help Hughes and Lorax, and the DTs.
  21. I see Brett Favre in Josh Allen, said it last pre-season, got destroyed. I still feel good about that comparison, better tbh. I see James Lofton in Robert Foster, calling it this preseason. Foster will become our #1. Size, Speed, ball tracking, hands. He has it all. Having Smokey Brown and two solid slots in Beasley and Jones only helps. 2019-2020 Robert Foster - 60 catches - 1150 yards - 8 TD - just under 20 ypr
  22. Yes it is, best lap dance of my life
  23. I think that Rudolph would be 'ok' here, but pose a problem in New England. I don't need him here, but I don't want him in New England. I'm ok trying Knox, Sweeney and Croom, and holding on for Kroft. I may even IR Croft and see if any TE emerges, and get the best Kroft Buffalo can get in 2020.
  24. I don't. At the end of the day these are all guys putting on a show for entertainment. These are all individual men showcasing their talent and skills in front of gladiator sized arenas for our entertainment. The fact they wear different laundry doesn't change that for me. I can hate an organization, but still respect the individual.
  25. Happy to see a city that lost it's NFL team to greed win another major championship, and beat Boston while doing it.
