  1. I'm still sorry about that.... thanks Teef
  2. LB - Vosean Joseph has the 'it' Bust Devin Singletary - I hope I eat my words
  3. Better than taking off your pants and signing your head!
  4. forgot guys like Murphy and Ford. Would not be surprised to see 4-5 RBs though. I do think Yeldon makes it as a pass catching 3rd down option.
  5. No wonder you wanted me to take the gas for a simple cleaning..... Obvious rookies, you go to Wegmans, Tops if you live in the ghetto....
  6. I also like Joseph as the dark horse player of the year on Defense. And yes to Foster. Guy got killed here for a lot of alleged charges that amounted to nothing, but that may be enough to spook OBD. If Foster wants to play pro ball, put everything behind him, play in a small media market, and focus on football with no immediate expectations (because of Lorax, Edmunds, Milano) then yes. It's a no brainer. I actually think the culture is strong enough right now to bring in a Reuben Foster and benefit for it. Foster could man MLB #2 and maybe play some MIKE. Rotate Lorax, Joseph and Foster as needed. He would be an immediate #2 MLB/ILB if McDermott wanted to show some 3-4 looks, or 4-3 over looks on running downs.
  7. Toss up, I was called out as a 'Jets lover' for earlier posts. Other than C I think they have a solid team. NYJ added Bell, Osemele, CJ Mosely, Catanzaro, draft picks. Bills and Jets in the 7-9 to 9-7 bracket. Can be 10-6 if one can get the advantage on the other. Other than C I think they have a solid team. I think Buffalo adding Morse helps JA more than Jets adding Osemele helps Darnold. Morse calls out OL coverages, JA smart enough to understand it and calls match-ups with an improved WR and RB corps. NYJ WR and RB may be a bit better, but schemes and protections now lean Buffalo. Is JK JK without Kent Hull?
  8. Rochester, so yes, but lived in Eagles and Patriots territory for many years Nearly moved to the Raliegh-Durham area a year ago to stalk our lost Women's soccer team. ? In retrospect after this World Cup it was a good non-move. Thanksgiving should be fun with the inlaws
  9. You are right Augie. You are %100 right, I know personally as a functional addict. Every day is day 1. Maybe that's a part of why I pull so hard for him. It was a 30 for 30 or NFL Life Biography and I just got a bigger view of the life of Ryan Leaf. Ryan Leaf messed up, he has made some terrible choices in life, but I hope he can do this and be great. Maybe he doesn't deserve the amount of chances he's had. A lot of people can be lifted by a success from him. I'll leave it at that.
  10. Fair point, D. Williams has CFL cred, while Zay Jones has NFL Draft cred. I'll lean Jones, you lean Williams (a solid signing IMO), and hope one of them work out for our Bills. Either way the Bills are going to field waves of WR and all sorts of mixes of speed and hands. All good to me. If no Bills WR tops 1k yards, but they have 4x 650+, or 2 x 700 and 2 x 500 I bet it's a wining season. It's a passing league, so why not go Houston Oilers and spread it out? Those Oilers teams did not have 2 HOF RBs and a few young bucks too. The Bills will run some still, but the passing game will be difficult to stop because there is no #1. I think WR is in great shape. It will suck for fantasy, but having 4 solid WRs is the next gen offense. Key on who?
  11. That is the big deal. He made bad choices, he was humbled, his 'football life' biography was terrific. I'm happy for Ryan Leaf because he turned it around in time. This should be celebrated as a football fan and as a human story. I will look forward to his contributions.
  12. Hey Shaw, I may have misunderstood your point. Wanted to put numbers out there for all. The whole thread was about Foster being dealt, which is silly, and I think we both agree. He has Eric Moulds/ James Lofton potential, especially with Allen. Zay is never going to be an NFL #1, maybe a #2. He fits in just fine here because I don't think McDermott wants 1 or 2 elite WRs. I really think he wants a handful of guys that can hurt you in many ways. I think 4 capable NFL WRs is more dangerous than one, maybe two top guys you can focus on. My over under on Jones is 50-650-6. If you have 3-4 guys that can do that or better, and a QB that can find them, that is dangerous. We now have 2 speed guys with nice hands in Brown and Foster. We also have two slot/ possession guys in Jones and Beasley. All can do 40-60 and 600-1000 in damage per year. Spread em out, and have depth IMO. I took it from your post you don't agree. Roberts is ST and adds some at WR. The other guys will have to prove it out. thanks for a civil conversation
  13. Hey Shaw, I gotta disagree with you. We all know that most WRs take 2-3 years to become impact players. OBJ is a curve pusher, and Ju Ju became a difference make in year 2. I'm not saying Jones is either of those guys, but he can be a 50-700-10 guy. By year end when the bills cut the WR fat (literally with Benjamin) they had Jones who was top 2, and two guys who weren't even on the depth chart in TC. People were still arguing the virtues of Rod Streater.... Bills fans have wanted a QB who makes his WRs better for years. We started getting a glimpse of it in the last 6 games. The injury helped Allen. The game slowed down for him, and a lot of drops were cut. Over the last 6 games Foster and Jones acquitted themselves well, and began developing a chemistry with a guy who was not even getting most first team reps in Training camp. Heck Foster and McKenzie weren't getting much time in their respective situations either. Weeks 12-17 - keep in mind week 12 was a bit of a clunker for JA. Jones 19 REC - 260 YDS - 5 TD - 13.6 AVG Foster 22 REC - 406 YDS - 3 TD - 18.5 AVG Normalized for a full season (including JA's 160 yd clunker, and carrying it through) Jones 51 REC - 693 Yds - 13 TD - 13.7 AVG Foster 59 REC - 1083 Yds - 9 TD - 18.5 AVG You can't honestly tell me these two guys won't improve with a full TC in the top 4 WR rotation, and with a clear #1 QB getting the most reps. That will help IMO. Secondly Zay had to catch passes from 4 Qbs through the year, Foster had to battle to make the team. As the 12-17 stretch unfolded the results improved. Banjamin was with Buffalo in game 12 and 13. He factors in somewhat but went 3-52-0. Week 12 was bad for JA against JAX from a passing perspective, but he found Foster for 2-94 and a 75 yd TD. Zay was blanked. Week 13 Zay had a solid 4-67-2 TD, Foster went 1-27. Benjamin was cut after. Week 14-17 we see a chemistry and strategy start to unfold. JA became a better passer in each game, and he had his possession guy (Jones) and his speed guy (Foster) and stated making better reads. Week 14 Jones was 3-22, but Foster went over 100 with 7-104. The plan was to take out Zay without KB being there and Allen Connected with Foster. Same thing happened in Week 15 Jones went 1-22, and Foster again went over 100 4-108-2. Week 16 teams started paying attention to Foster and Jones went 5-67-1 while Foster chipped in 4-52-0. Balance. Week 17 more of the same, Foster was held to 4-21-1 while Jones had his best game as a pro 6-93-2. It's happening, and now there is more depth and competition. Perfectly happy with Foster, Jones, Brown and Beasley at WR. 4 guys easily in the 600-1000 yards range. Makes it hard to defend.
  14. 6) Force more pressure on opponent QBs, cant be in the 28-32 range in sacks 7) need to force and recover more turnovers see 1-6 above
  15. We are with you Tre. You are one of the best. In yr 2 QBs did not want to throw to you. Success. And I won't forgive Gronk until he apologizes to you formally. You deserve it.
  16. I guess wanting to cut your dead dad's head off at a funeral has consequences?
  17. Exactly what I was thinking. Big *****, aka Kelvin Benjamin would have dropped it cuz it hurt his 'tootsies' catching mean old Josh Allen's fast pass. JA has velocity, our WRs need to get some callouses on their hands. New Bills WR interviews: Bills Scout: 'what is the fastest pass, or highest velocity pass you have caught'? WR Candidate: '70 mph' Bills Scout: 'Fail, dip your hands in tar and come back.' All joking aside I love seeing our QB love the QB lifestyle. Enjoy it JA. Be the pimp you are. Baby Brett Favre all the way. Been saying it since day one.
  18. tastes like squab SQUAB!
  19. Has anyone asked the bull if Pinky's prostate is ok?
  20. Favre all the way, posted it a few times
  21. The issue to me is this is not his first red flag, and both accusations and incidents are terrible. T Hill is very talented, but seems like a complete knucklehead. The relationship with him and baby mamma is obviously toxic.
  22. so if it's 8-9, but the team shows progress. No blow out losses, no losses where the Bills get run over for 200 yards, keep. I'm not happy at 8, but injuries happen, a guy does not pan out, bounces don't go the Bills way. Less than 8 wins, without a major injury and I am more concerned. I'm all for a 5 year tryout with McBeane. Got to let the plan gel. I like the direction, and I have patience.
  23. Disagree, on Oliver. While I loved meatball as much as the next Bills fan he had lost a step and it showed. Oliver and Phillips can more than man the 3 technique and if Harrison Phillips can show anything at all I think they are fine. I also think Trent Murphy has a little more sizzle to him than a lot of fans think. 10 sacks for Hughes and 5-7 for Murphy this year. Lawson will chip in 3-4. Oliver at +/- 5 seems right. I'm more worried about the space eater 1 technique with Star L. LB is a question mark. I haven't been a big Edmunds guy, but he improved and looked pretty good by season end. He is a good pass defender. Milano is a personal favorite, I hope he is recovered. What does Lorax have left? V Joseph and Siran Neal may surprise. Other than S depth the secondary will cut potential nickel/ boundary guys for other teams. Solid. 8-10 wins. I have guessed 5 each of the last two years. 8-8, no blow outs, a few guys emerge and JA improves and I am ok. 10+ and playoffs and I'm very happy.
